    Being disciplined doesn't mean you are deprived! Here's a scenario for you: You have this friend who is uber disciplined about the way she eats. When you go out to dinner with her, you see her work to make choices that will honor her body and the way she feels on the inside. You find yourself thinking she's crazy and totally living in deprivation. But, she doesn't see it that way or feel that way! Not even a little bit! So, what is the difference for her and the way you perceive it? She has discovered how to fuel her body in ways that makes her feel good, not bloated or gassy. Not lethargic or "blah"! And, she has no issues with making choices that keep her feeling that way. To her she feels food freedom, has found new ways to enjoy food and feels not one ounce of deprivation. This week's episode we will dive in to Discipline and how it can look like deprivation but in all honesty, it is anything but!     Do you love "her" Enough? You're a crazy busy mom who feels like there is absolutely no time in your day to possilbly do anything for yourself! Between taking care of the household, running the kids everywhere, doing your job and having energy to give your husband, you have nothing left in the tank for you! Sound familiar? I understand ALL these feelings! And I have had seasons when I have been right where you are. But making a change came down to one very important question for me: Do I love "her" enough? When I say her, I mean me! I wasn't willing to go through life on fumes, exhausted and giving all of myself to others with no attention left for myself! My reason was simple: In order to love, serve, encourage and be my best for others I had to put myself on my priority list! And I know the excuse about there being no time! But friend, there IS time! It just takes truly looking at your calendar and scheduling time for YOU! By making yourself a priority, you will in turn have full tank to answer the needs around you, with energy, stamina and frankly, JOY, from the inside out.     Mom NOT "Martyr"

    When you became a Mom, did you instantly allow yourself to also bear the title of a "Martyr"? As we enter the amazing ride of Motherhood, it is so extremely easy to feel like we are supposed to completely sacrifice ourselves in order to love our kids best. We convince ourselves that there isn't time for us to take care of ourselves and that once we have raised our children, THEN, we will have time to take care of our needs and do the things that bring us joy. I strongly disagree with this mindset and do not believe this is the way to love our children best. In fact, I believe that if we are sacrificing ourselves while we raise our kids, we are in turn, deprivation them of having the best mom they could possibly have! Yes, I am passionate about this and go much deeper in this episode with reasons why. I pray this causes you to pause and take note of where you are on the priority list and truly welcome the challenge to evaluate if any changes need to be made in your life, for yourself and your kids! But I want to open the dialogue for us to really dig deep into the excuses we make and actually uncover why we are making them and how to overcome them!     I have a question... Are you discouraged? Do you feel like nothing's working; You've tried all the things and you can't get rid of the bloat. You can't lose the belly fat.     Yes, I Really Do Eat MORE Than My Husband!

I've been guilty of allowing the number staring back at me to determine my mood for the day! There have been seasons where If the number is one that makes me happy, I feel like I can conquer the world, but if it is a number that is less than stellar (in my eyes), I feel completely deflated and failure rushes over me! Can you relate? We have to STOP giving this crazy contraption SO MUCH POWER! It doesn't deserve it and it most definitely do NOT tell the WHOLE Story!
