Rye Lanae Boothe is a poet, director, and multidisciplinary artist who makes poems and productions. She grew up doing musical theater (20 musicals before she was 18). Went to a ministry school in California and alongside her degree ended up studying acting and dance, as well as spoken word poetry. At the end of 2019 released her chapbook "I Have a Crush on Everyone and Everyone has a Crush on Me." She likes to pull out a typewriter at events and write people poems spontaneously. She excels at having crushes. She uses poetry to digest life and to queer the toxic narratives that she inherited. She believes in making art to heal herself and heal the world.
