The High Council threatens the church, so God responds. We learn from this that Christians should expect to be threatened and be prepared for God to respond. We must have faith even under threat, because "freedom from threats" is not a Christian goal.

The Unfaithful Bride of Hosea in Hosea 1:2-9; 3:1-5 illustrates God offers grace to people even when they are unfaithful to Him. Only the grace of God can bring man into His holy fellowship and enable man to fulfill the creative purpose of God.

Jesus is on a mission to reveal and give the Holy Spirit to people of faith. People of faith live in obedient cooperation with the Holy Spirit, so people need to increase their spirituality in Christ, because there is an inextricable link between Jesus and the Spirit and themselves. Isaiah 12 guides us into the joy of salvation through forgiveness, and encourages us towards joyful satisfaction in God.

Our Immediate Good Hope is the we can experience the power of God's deliverance immediately. Judgment day comes upon the wicked into the present. David expects God's immediate deliverance because of his covenant standing and God's faithfulness.

Stay prepared and ready. Grow in Christ as you wait for His return. Matthew 25:1-13. Jesus gives the parable of the 10 Virgins, where 5 were foolish and unprepared, 5 were wise and were prepared. Those who were prepared made it to the wedding banquet, the others were shut out. The Kingdom of God is like this.
