Our world tells us that love should always be easy and stress-free, but is it possible that God's love for us—true love—could lead to disruption and discomfort? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses love, the theme of Advent's fourth week. We have a variety of mistaken notions about love, but we can go to God's Word to understand the truth about this topic. Pastor Allen teaches from three stories—humanity's fall in the Garden of Eden, Jesus' birth in Bethlehem, and Jesus' death on the cross—to show how our Lord's best for us can often look like boundaries, disappointment, and hardship. But through our obedience and by His love, God will faithfully transform us into something better.

Our attitudes and outlooks can impact our lives significantly, so maintaining our God-given joy is essential. But how do we maintain joy? In this sermon covering the third week of Advent, Pastor Allen Jackson shares three steps we can take to keep our joy intact, and he teaches about the impacts joy has on perseverance, especially through suffering. Like hope that needs a foundation to rest on, joy requires upkeep, and we can practice that through familiarity with God's Word, listening to God's voice, and being in godly community. Holidays can be painful, but we can have lasting joy even through suffering, because our joy is made complete through our willingness to persevere in faith.
As we embark on another new year, we need to learn to recognize the moves and promptings of God. Once we do, how will we choose to respond to them? Our answer to that question will determine our success as stewards of all He has entrusted to us. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

In the Christmas narrative, angels came to deliver "good news of great joy" to us. Good news of great joy doesn't mean everything is going to be easy, but it does mean our assignments will be meaningful and well-rewarded. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson teaches about the theme for the third week of Advent: joy. We may be tempted to grumble when facing trials, but God calls us to endure with joy. It's counterintuitive to our human natures, but with the Holy Spirit's help, we can find true joy in the midst of hardship. God is moving in the earth, and we want to be a part of what He's doing in His Kingdom, so let's choose to cultivate joy—sustaining, eternal, and supernatural joy.

We will need the joy of the Lord and the strength that comes with it to complete our God-assignments. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses joy, the theme for the third week of Advent. Joy is a spiritual fuel that enables us to endure and overcome, and Pastor Allen shares examples from Nehemiah and Daniel, who flourished in hardship, to model how we, too, can rely on God to supply us with the strength we need. Our world seems to be darker day by day, but this Christmas season, let's overcome evil with the joy that comes from celebrating the birth of our Savior and King.
Our faith has shaped our culture for hundreds of years, but we're living through an immense decline of its influence in our nation. We've been so focused on eternity that we've neglected our role in the present age. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses preparation, a theme of the Advent season. He teaches about leaders like Abraham and Stephen to demonstrate that as God progresses His plans in the world, we have to be intentional in moving with Him. The Church has an assignment, and we need to develop the discernment to understand it and accomplish it!
Will reflects on the love revealed when God moved into our world through Jesus. Centering on Matthew 1 and the name Emmanuel, this sermon reminds us that God is not distant, we are never alone, and His love meets us right where we are. Even in darkness, uncertainty, and weakness, God draws near—offering hope, presence, and unconditional love through Christ.
Gifts at Christmas get our attention because of the wrapping paper and the glitter. But the gift itself is what's inside. That's what Jesus shows Nicodemus in John 3: the heart of the gospel. No amount of effort, religion, or good works can save us. What we need is new life, born not of ourselves but of God's Spirit. This message reminds us to trust Him, to receive this gift of grace, and to live in the joy of being born again. Also on YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srWcKi7J-jYSunday, December 21, 2025Pastor Kevin PierpontCalvary Church, Webberville, Michiganhttps://webbervillechurch.org

In the midst of God moving in the earth through remarkable miracles, demonstrations of His Spirit, and the fulfillment of prophecies, we must come to terms with the existence of evil. The second week of Advent is about peace and preparation, and in this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses how we can have peace and be prepared for our God-given assignments, even when we're surrounded by expressions of evil. Pastor Allen shares the story of Jesus' birth, highlighting the uncertainty each person felt, even as they walked in obedience to God. Our stories will look similar, but we don't need to be overcome with fear or anxiety. As we practice obedience, Jesus promises to give us peace—and His peace is everlasting.
Joy comes to our hearts if we let God set the pace.
After feeling disappointed by someone or something we trusted in, how can we know where to place our hope? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses hope, the topic of the first week of Advent, and how we can be certain that God is trustworthy. He teaches about the importance of guarding our hearts and practicing patience through the discomfort of hardship. Suffering will come to all of us because expressions of evil in our world are real, but the Bible teaches that even through difficult seasons, we can rejoice. We find everlasting joy and peace when we place our hope in the Lord!

Today we're celebrating 300 episodes of the podcast, and this conversation feels like one of the most meaningful ones I've ever shared. In this episode, I'm taking you inside my own marriage to tell you a story that changed everything — one I call a God Move. It's a story of divine timing, healing, and how God can use the most unexpected people and moments to remind us that He sees us, He hears us, and He's always working for our good. You'll hear my husband share his own life-changing encounter — how a complete stranger spoke words that shifted how he saw himself as a man and as a partner. The first time I heard him tell it, I cried for hours. It was that powerful.Listen in to hear this story directly from him — and then come back next week when I'll break down exactly why I call this a God Move, and what it revealed to me about love, faith, and transformation inside marriage.

The Bible says we're going to need strength and effort to follow the Lord. In fact, the greatest demands of our lives will be attached to our faith. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses how we can step up and shape culture with our allegiance to Jesus Christ. It begins with intentional spiritual growth and discipline—often uncomfortable, but necessary. Pastor Allen shares the importance of influencing the next generation to practice godliness, and he speaks on the biblical reasons Christians should support the Jewish people. There's a lot of pushback in the culture regarding those two issues, but God is shaking the earth, revealing Himself as the only steady foundation. We can trust that He will restore His people.
Luke 2 is more than a Christmas reading. Pastor Ron Meyer shows how “taxing times” force us into God's positioning. Bethlehem looked illogical. The manger looked like failure. Yet God was fulfilling prophecy, providing a Passover over hell, and sending provision before anyone saw it. This message invites believers to rediscover the normalcy of God's supernatural presence. Cameron challenges the materialistic lenses that often shape modern faith and reframes the “weirdness” of the Bible as true humanity in its intended form—life lived with God actively at work. The invitation is to be free to not sanitize the Spirit's movement and instead embrace the freedom of a naturally supernatural life that reveals Jesus to others.

Nehemiah - When God Moves Your Heart - Tim Broughton
The world is being moved by the assassination of Charlie Kirk. What the enemy has intended, even through layers of deception and confusion, cannot stop the turning of hearts to Jesus. As more and more questions surface from the crime of 10 September 2025, keep your eyes on Jesus and keep yourself in prayer. We are not to participate in evil, but called to expose it with the discernment of Holy Spirit. The victory for Kingdom rests in the salvation of souls. Join us as we dive into the book of Ezra. You'll see how Ezra fits into the bigger story of God's redemptive plan. Plus, get inspired with a powerful reminder in Ezra 1 that God is still faithful, still restoring, and still inviting us into His story. Themes of this podcast:God's faithfulness never fails. Ezra reminds us that God keeps His promises, even across generations. Just as He moved Cyrus to free His people, He is still at work behind the scenes in our own lives, often in ways we cannot see yet.Restoration requires both courage and obedience. The exiles' return was long, grueling, and uncertain, yet they moved because God stirred their hearts. In the same way, stepping into God's call for us may be hard, but obedience brings renewal. You have a role in God's bigger story. Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther were ordinary people called “for such a time as this.” Like them, we are invited to step into God's redemptive plan, trusting that He equips us for the part He's written for us.Show notes:BlogBooks of the Old TestamentProfit TimelineWe love feedback, but can't reply without your email address.
