What does it mean to be filled with the Holy Spirit daily? Our conversation with Pastors Josh Howerton, Marc McCartney, and Carlos Erazo explores this profound question as we reflect on grace, legalism, and the power of surrender. Together, we unpack how daily dependence on the Holy Spirit transforms our lives, drawing wisdom from Acts 15 and personal stories of faith. From practical steps to guard against legalism to living on mission for "one more," this episode offers a heartfelt reminder of the joy, freedom, and purpose found in walking with the Spirit. Join us as we learn to live in the fullness of God's grace, allowing His Spirit to guide, empower, and renew us each day.
Does FEAR stand for Forget Everything And Run? Maybe a better acronym would be False Evidence Appearing Real because most of our fear is self-created. There are appropriate times for fear, such as the fear of falling or if there is suddenly a loud noise or we find a snake in our path. But most of us, on a daily basis, don't really find ourselves facing things that are truly dangerous. We want to get a handle on our fear because fear is the biggest thing that will stop us from living a life worth living. In this episode, Ted talks about what is real and what is imagined when it come to fear. Hopefully, after listening to this episode, FEAR will stand for Face Everything and Rise. TedinYourHead.com

Text us and say hello! It's a crossover episode, ladies and gentlemen! So, you may or may not know this, but I host a SECOND podcast, called Beer Before Fear, where my buddy Erik and I review craft beer and horror movies. You can check the show at this link to listen to all of the other episodes as well (beerbeforefear.buzzsprout.com) So, to kick off the spooky season, I thought it might be fun to share an episode where Erik and I discuss possibly one of the greatest horror movies of the 90s, Scream. To say it revolutionized and re-invigorated the slasher genre would be an understatement. This movie twisted, manipulated and exploited almost every slasher movie cliche you could think of, and made something amazing out of it. So enjoy this week's episode, and feel free to check out our other Beer Before Fear episodes as well, if it's your thing! For today's episode, Dr. Andrew Fix visits The Growth Over Fear Podcast to emphasize the importance of movement to all aspects of our lives. As our lifestyles become more sedentary, any opportunity to move–including after dinner to lower blood sugar, or while we're taking a work meeting to spark creativity—movement is crucial. Moving through an injury is the best way to promote healing, as opposed to the R.I.C.E. method, which is no longer considered effective as Dr. Fix explains. When it comes to eating for a healthy metabolism as well as training and recovery, the approach is the same. Dr. Fix will tell you how to determine the right amount of daily protein for your body as well as the often overlooked importance of consuming a balanced intake of micronutrients. By the time we reach our 30s, we start losing muscle mass, and nutrition is key to building and maintaining it. Perhaps the most important aspect of preventing injury and improving performance and overall health is getting consistently adequate sleep. Dr. Fix shares his 3-2-1 method for setting yourself up for a good sleep routine. Another major measure of health is good balance, in order to prevent injuries such as broken hips which, as we age, can have life-altering effects. Key Takeaways: • Movement is crucial to all aspects of health, especially as we become more sedentary • Building and maintaining muscle becomes increasingly important as we age • The most important aspect of performance and injury prevention is getting good sleep • Life begins at the end of our comfort zone Quotes • “The first and foremost thing that you need to do is move…really good for our bodies.” (5:13 | Dr. Andrew Fix) • “I don't like to necessarily say that one is more important than the other, I think they're all important. But I think these statistics when it comes down to sleep, and how that affects our performance, and prevention of injuries, is pretty staggering.” (25:54 | Dr. Andrew Fix) • “The things that are really important to you, put those in place, put those healthy habits in place, and structure the rest of your schedule around that as best as possible.” (30:39 | Dr. Andrew Fix) • “Once we get over the age of 65, falling and fracturing your hip is a very big concern. A…third end up basically living the rest of their life in a more assisted living-style scenario.” (37:12 | Dr. Andrew Fix) • “In order to really live and continue to move your life forward, you have to step outside of your comfort zone.” (47: 10 | Dr. Andrew Fix) Links The Growth Over Fear Podcast: https://thegrowthoverfearpodcast.buzzsprout.com/ Flux Footwear Coupon Code: drandrewfix 10% off Xero Shoes: 10% off https://xeroshoes.com/go/drandrewfix drinklmnt.com/physioroom - free variety pack with purchase. On this episode, On today's episode, Dennis sits down as a guest on the "Know Fear" podcast hosted by fear management expert, self-defense expert and mindset educator Tony Blauer. Tony founded Blauer Tactical Systems (BTS) in 1985 and it has grown into one of the world's leading consulting companies specializing in the research and development of performance psychology, personal safety, and close quarter tactics & scenario-based training for law enforcement, military, and professional self-defense instructors. His research on the neuroscience of fear and the startle-flinch lead to the development of the SPEAR System, a modern personal defense system based on physiology, physics, and psychology. It has been used by defensive tactics and combative trainers all over the world for over 30 years. After decades of interviewing victims of violent encounters and studying violence, he then created the KNOW FEAR program which focuses on managing fear through self-awareness, resiliency and a ‘movement' mindset. And so this conversation is about managing fear – but it extends far beyond self-defense. This is part two of a 4-part mini-series. Each week, I'll introduce you to a woman living life on her terms and doing it unapologetically. You will find these women inspiring as they teach what they've learned about money and success on their own journeys. This episode features the lovely Nadine Zumot. She is a Money Energetics and Life Purpose Coach. She helps her clients heal money wounds through inner child work and trauma healing. Today, we talk about the role that your childhood plays on how you feel about money, but also how you feel about yourself. These things are seemingly unrelated, but they both live in the subconscious and are actually very much intertwined. How you internalized everything around you from the perspective of your eyes as a child is directly reflected in your beliefs today. We also talk about the role that your nervous system plays in your money blocks. It's super interesting, so you don't want to miss it. Tune in to hear more! Amy and Jay Fisher discuss the restoration and operation of a 1950s-1960s high fidelity analog recording studio. In this episode, they talk about infrared glow of electron tubes, the Fear Podcast on WINS 1010 Radio, and the comparison of high fidelity in the Clovis Sounds Studio compared with New York Radio sound. Synergistic relationship of all components of broadcast and recording to produce a final result are mentioned. Further details about electronic rack weight and balance are discussed and potential floor locks for safety. Building of Rack #1 is detailed, and power mains feeds installed and power cord types. Signal cables are briefly described. Control Room and Recording safety is discussed, of primary importance. We detail the performance of Altec preamps and vocal compressors, and setup a testing arrangement of extremely fine-sounding small Altec A340A amplifier which produces extraordinary sound with a poor, cheap, small Public Address speaker and an input from computer streaming service. Quality and price comparisons are made from the 1950s to present time. Our approach to setup and troubleshooting in the studio is described from the macro to individual components based on timing and budget. Should repairs be focused on preservation or use? How much value is retained or lost by improving components to expand capabilities and quality? Power switches are to be installed on the amplifiers. Further information, photos, and history of the project is available at https://www.jayfisher.com/Fisher-Audio-Science.htm Engineered by Amy Fisher

On the very first episode of Fuck Fear, host Catenya McHenry talks about the night she reached her breaking point. It started with an overnight conversation she had with her then six-year old daughter about not being afraid of monsters. During that talk, Catenya realized the monster metaphor would have a bigger meaning as she continued recovering from a toxic narcissistic relationship, which she writes about in her first book, Married to a Narcissist. She now sheds light on ways the emotional and psychological abuser used fear to try and control her. But when Catenya verbalized the words, "fuck fear," her entire world changed. What would be her second book is now reimagined into a podcast about fear and ways fear has affected us in life, career, relationships, and parenting. Guests share their struggles with fear and experts offer proven strategies for how to find your courage to let go of that fear so that you can live more freely.
In this ep, Liz explains the What and Why of the Women's Empowerment Miniseries happening on The Edge of Fear Podcast and why you should be here for it.
Todd & Cathy Discuss the 4 different types of fears as described by Iyanla Vanzandt, Dierk's Bentley, Bruce Willis' wine cooler commercial, Eddie Murphy's single "Party All The Time", and how we've all already done the hardest thing we will ever do.
Cathy and Todd share a quote from Gutsy Girl author Caroline Paul about how we can use “micro-bravery” to handle our fear. They discuss why bravery can mean different things to men and women, and why it's hard to differentiate between fear, excitement, and other strong feelings. They talk about ball players who get the “yips”, the movie Get Out, and explain why The Babadook represents repressed grief and anger.
You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do.
