Is your marriage struggling? In Part 2 of this series Overcoming A Bad Marriage, Dave and Bethlie share biblical steps for overcoming a bad marriage and restoring what God intended for your relationship. Learn to love again Define it Love and feelings are not the same thing Love is about pleasing God Love is being willing to give another whatever it is that they need because you know it is what God commands you to do. Biblicize it Ephesians 5:25 Husbands love your wives as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her Older women teach the younger women to love their husbands Love your neighbor Your spouse is your closest neighbor so you have to love them Matthew 5:44. Love your enemy The lowest level of love Determine to please God Get very close to Him James 4:8 The closer you are to God the healthier you will be The closer you are to God the stronger you will be Honor God in the decisions you make and your marriage will be amazing Take steps to love Learn to give. John 3:16 Gal 2:20 Proverbs 25:21 Learn to forgive Forgiveness promises not to use another's wrongdoings against them in the future Forgiveness promises not to talk to other people about another's wrongdoings Forgiveness promises not to dwell on the other's wrongdoings Learn to meet each other's needs
I've been sharing five lessons for living, which are found in Proverbs 3. Here is the fifth lesson for living, from verses 9 and 10: Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing and your vats will brim over with new wine (Proverbs 3:9-10). Now this one is close to home, because it talks about money, and if anything is close to our hearts, it's our money—right? But please believe me when I tell you your avenue to financial security begins with your willingness to make this lesson a part of your life. And what is that lesson? It is to give God the first part of your money. You may be thinking, But I'm not wealthy and I barely have enough now to make ends meet. I understand that feeling, but this lesson has nothing to do with whether you have lots of money or not. It simply says to give God the first part. Honor God by giving money to him, and then pay your bills. If you wait to give God the left-overs after you've paid your bills and used your money for your own desires, you'll discover you just never seem to have much left-over. The enemy of your soul will see to that! It takes a step of faith to begin this practice of honoring God first with your money, but this is truly the first step to financial stability for a Christ-follower. How much should you give? Think of what you think you can afford and then double it. That's a good starting place. Give God more than you think you can. It's the one place God invites us to test him. In Malachi he says, test me in this and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it (Malachi 3:10). God is not promising us financial wealth, but he is promising financial stability and security if we will honor him first with our money. Start where you are—and the sooner the better—and see if this lesson for living is not one of the best principles you've put in place in your life. As my dad said to me so often, “Honey, you can't out give God,” and I promise that is true.

"It's Complicated" is our series at Fusion Christian Church on relationships. Everyone knows our relationships are messy, but not everyone knows how to navigate them. This series will provide godly, biblical principles for keeping your relationships much less complicated! In part 1, Pastor Zac teaches how to honor God with our sexuality both in dating and marriage.Fall in love with someone who loves Jesus. The most important decision any person makes after deciding to follow Jesus is deciding who to marry. For those of us who have decided to follow Jesus, marrying someone else who loves him too is of utmost importance. The bible is very clear that those who follow God should not marry people who don't follow him. If you have, the best thing to do is to honor God in that marriage. But if you are an unmarried Christian, you should not marry anyone who is not Christian.Honor God with your sexuality.God designed sex for marriage and designed marriage to be between one man and one woman. To honor God with your sexuality, therefore, means to maintain purity outside of marriage and faithfulness within it. Pornography, adultery, and extra-marital sex are all dishonoring to God and should be avoided.Lifelong marriage is God's design from the beginning.Part of God's design is also for marriage to be lasting. Although the bible allows for divorce in certain limited circumstances, God hates divorce, and desires that reconciliation happen instead when possible. Marriage is meant to be for one man and one woman to be joined for life. When this happens it allows marriage to properly mirror the relationship between Christ and the Church.Move from selfishness to selflessness. The single biggest obstacle to healthy relationships is selfishness. If we can teach ourselves to put the other person's needs above our own, we will find that selfishness disappearing. When both partners in a relationship do this, the relationship becomes healthier. How can you put others above yourself in your relationships?
Your real estate goals can both build your business and honor God simultaneously. The industry tries to separate the two, but you don't have to give into the pressure to fit the mold.In this powerful conversation on The Faithful Agent Podcast, Garrett Maroon sits down with global real estate leader and holistic business coach Cari Briner to unpack what it really means to pursue real estate agent goals that are rooted in obedience — not hustle culture.Cari shares her journey from transactional success to intentional faith driven business leadership, revealing how God began using her real estate career as a platform for marketplace ministry. From building a 10,000-square-foot coworking space led by prayer, to boldly weaving faith into her organization, Cari's story challenges Christian realtors to redefine success beyond volume and visibility. This episode dives deep into real estate goals, realtor structure, realtor systems, and the unseen spiritual framework behind sustainable growth. Cari, a real estate mom, explains why obedience creates momentum, why distraction blocks clarity, and why your business expands fastest when your identity is no longer tied to production. You'll also hear how God used small, faithful steps — not massive strategies — to grow a national real estate organization that now sells hundreds of millions in volume. Along the way, Cari opens up about hardship, surrender, and how leaning into God-given purpose transformed her leadership, peace, and priorities. If you've been setting real estate agent goals without first asking God what He wants your business to become, this conversation will reset your framework.

“All things were created through Him and for Him.” – Colossians 1:16In this timely and powerful New Year message, Pastor Casey launches our new series, “What We Do,” with a foundational teaching on what it means to truly honor God with our lives. In a culture shaped by expressive individualism—where we're taught to center everything around ourselves—this sermon calls us back to a Christ-centered life.Using Colossians 1:15-20, Pastor Casey unpacks the truth that we were not created to be the heroes of our own stories. We were made by Jesus and for Jesus. Honoring God isn't simply one part of our spiritual life—it is the very purpose of our existence. This message challenges us to evaluate whether Jesus is just another priority on our list, or the center of everything. You'll be invited to move from self-centered faith to a life marked by worship, obedience, and active participation in God's redemptive work in the world.Whether you're resetting your focus for a new year, or exploring what it means to follow Jesus more fully, this sermon will both convict and encourage you to lay down the pressure of self-definition and embrace the freedom of living for God's glory.Key themes in this message include:Why honoring God is more than a behavior—it's a lifestyle of alignmentHow self-focused faith leads to fragility and dissatisfactionThe difference between placing Jesus first and making Him the centerThree ways we honor God: through worship, obedience, and joining Him in missionHow to discern where God is already at work and how to respondThis is a message for anyone feeling spiritually scattered, overwhelmed by expectations, or hungry for deeper purpose and direction. It's an invitation to reframe life, not around your plans, but around God's greater story. We pray this message encourages you to begin 2026 not with resolutions, but with a reorientation toward Jesus as Lord, King, and Center.Watch, reflect, and respond. To learn more about Grace City Church or connect with our team, visit www.gracecityeugene.com#HonorGod #WhatWeDo #PastorCasey #GraceCityChurch #Colossians1 #FaithCenteredOnChrist #ChristianSermon #GospelMessage #JesusIsPreeminent #NewYearSermon #WorshipObedienceMission
