What do you do when the world around you is trying to pull you away from God? In the Book of Daniel, we see four young men taken into a culture determined to reshape their identity, their thinking, and their way of life. Yet in the middle of intense pressure, Daniel made a quiet but powerful decision that changed everything. Listen in as we learn from his story and challenge ourselves to both recognize the currents of sin we face, and resolve to honor God in their midst.

In Phil 4:17 Paul tells us that he didn't preach about giving to the work of God because he seek a gift for himself but because he understood the law of sowing and reaping. We can only reap from God what we have first sown, this is why Jesus said we can expect to be forgiven unless we first forgive. The same is true when it come to provisions, God promises to bless those who bless others. We can't expect for God to take care of our need when we refuse to help others with their needs. We are not to foolishly give to other but are called to follow Gods direction to give and bless others when he lead us to do so. Greed is a big problem, the bible teaches us that the greedy will not inherit the Kingdom of God (1 Cor 6:10). This is why Jesus tells us to not lay for ourselves treasures here on earth but to store then in heaven by being obedient unto God leading to bless those he seek to bless though us. We should always remember that on Judgement Day we will all have to give an account of ourselves, did we live for us to for him, did we do our will or his. The more you are obedient to God leading to bless other the more he will bless you not so you can have more but so he can use you to bless more. Your faithfulness to God leading to bless other will also cause God to bless you so that your needs and the needs of your family will be taken care of. We must always remember that when we die all of our earthly possession will stay behind so lets no lay treasures here on earth but in heaven.

Fire in the fireplace is warm, beautiful, and life-giving—but fire in the wrong place becomes destructive. In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef uses this picture to explain God's design for sexual intimacy: a good and holy gift to be enjoyed within the covenant of marriage. Paul reminds believers in 1 Corinthians that our bodies are not our own. We have been bought with the blood of Jesus Christ, set apart for God, and called to honor Him with our whole being. This means what we do with our bodies matters deeply to the Lord. Dr. Youssef turns to Paul's teaching in 1 Corinthians 7, where the apostle addressed a culture filled with sexual confusion, broken vows, distorted views of marriage, and false ideas about spirituality. Against that backdrop, Paul pointed back to God's wisdom from Genesis: man and woman were created to complement one another physically, emotionally, and spiritually in marriage. Within God's design, sexual intimacy is not shameful—it is a holy expression of covenant love, companionship, partnership, and selfless service between husband and wife. This devotional calls believers to reject the world's confusion, honor the Lord with their bodies, and receive God's good gifts according to His Word and His glory. I remember the last time I bought a house. It was a while ago, but I still remember that nervous feeling of stepping out on a limb that night to say to the owner, "We'll buy it." I was thinking, "Where in the world are we going to get the money for this?" And then the handshake, the signature on that document that committed most of my working life to paying for it. But the story was really told in two signs on the front yard. One was there when I came to look at the house. It said "For Sale." Then after we committed ourselves to buy it, they changed the sign. Of course it said: "Sold." I felt pretty good when I drove by there and said, "Hey, I know who that's sold to. That house is mine." And I knew that no one else was going to be able to drive up there and say, "Well, that's a nice house. I'd like this house." Nope! It was sold by right of purchase, and no one could have it but me! I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about "The Sign On Your Life." Our word for today from the Word of God; we are in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Listen to these words: "You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." Okay, there's a sign on your life. It doesn't say like it did on the house that I bought: "Sold." The sign on your life and mine says: Bought. You are a purchased person. You belong to the person who paid for you. Are you living that way? Are you living for the One who gave His life so you could have hope, so you could have a life, so your life could have meaning, so you could have an eternity in heaven, who paid with His life for yours? One way to tell: what are you doing with your body? That's a specific area that this passage highlights. You have no right to expose that body that He purchased, to devalue it, to degrade it, to neglect it. No, no, no, He paid for it. It cost Him His life to purchase you, including that body of yours. "Therefore," it says, "to glorify God in that body." Honor God with your body. It's almost like there's another sign on you that says: "Reserved For Jesus." You know, like a table at a restaurant, you can't have that table; it's reserved for someone else. As you're tempted to look at something or listen to something today that's dirty, remember you are a purchased person. You can't allow that garbage to pollute a mind that was bought by the blood of the Son of God. So many of our daily choices come into focus and are made a lot clearer when we remember - okay, here's a word that I'm making up - our boughtness. Our boughtness! We've been bought. It's not my money, it's not my car, it's not my house, it's not my business, it's not my body, it's not my talent. It isn't my right; I don't have the right to plan my own future. I've been purchased by the Son of God! You and I were purchased at the highest price in history. The Prince of Glory bled and died to buy you back from sin; to buy you back from being owned by this world; to buy you back from the Devil's plans for your life. Don't let anyone have what Jesus paid so much for. The sign on you says: "Bought By Jesus."

A young man once discovered a stack of old comic books worth millions of dollars while cleaning out what others dismissed as garbage. Reverence and Awe PT 4 The Factory Youth

My friend, Alex, a book editor, checked his inbox, anticipating an angry email from an author. He’d been working with a prominent business leader on his manuscript for months. Unexpectedly, the publisher had decided to halt the publication of the book due to company problems. After emailing the author the bad news, Alex braced himself. A week later a reply came. “I didn’t answer right away because I wanted to think first about my words and how to respond,” the author wrote. He expressed disappointment, then calmly stated how he thought the publisher could’ve handled the issue. The author’s wise, measured response left a deep impression on me. His behavior reflected what the Bible says our communication should be like, especially when we’re angry. The apostle James tells us to keep “a tight rein on [our] tongues” because it’s easy to sin with our words (James 1:26; 3:5−6). We’re to prioritize listening to others so we can understand them, choose our words, and consider whether it’s necessary to get angry (1:19). Not only does restraint in speech help us to avoid sin and allow the Scriptures to change us (v. 21) but it also reflects who God is to others: “compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love” (Psalm 103:8). Let’s model our loving God with our words—and our silences.

The inheritance is gone in two years. None of these people were bad. Nobody asked them the honor question before the money hit.I am recording this one from inside my own storm. Personally and in my business, I am asking myself this exact question every morning. This is not a lecture. It is a conversation from the seat I am actually in right now.What we cover:Why God delays the breakthrough for people He loves. The delay is not punishment. It is protection. He is not going to hand you a breakthrough that becomes the next crisis.The pattern I have watched from the broker seat for years. The refi, the cash-out, the inheritance. Same story every time. Most people see tiding as a touchy subject believing that only money hungry pastors teach tiding when in reality giving not only to the church but to those God lead us to is a Kingdom principle. Just like we can't expect to be forgiven unless we forgive others Luke 6:38 tells us that we are to give in order to receive because another Kingdom Principle is that we can only reap what we sow. Those who sow sparingly will only reap sparingly (2 Cor 9:6). In Malachi 3:10-11 God tells us to bring our tithes or offering into his storehouse referring to you local church in order that there would be provision for the need of the church and to help others who are in need. He goes on to tells us to put him to the test adding that our giving from a genuine heart will cause him to open a window of blessing in our lives not only to bless us but so that we can also be a blessing to many more. God adds that our giving will also cause him to rebuke the devour from interacting with us from destroying what is in our storehouse referring to our provision for our needs and the needs of our family. Our giving to God must be an act of love, honor and obedience toward him and are we are not to give fearing loss when we give we must give by faith knowing that will always take care of his children. In Mat 6:19-24 Jesus tells us to lay our treasures in heaven and not in the earth it can be stolen and taken away from us, our giving to God should not be determined by our fear of going without or buy our lust to accumulate money because we can't love or serve two masters. Your heart can only belong to God if you truly trust in him and chose to put him before anything else.

In our journey to evolving through life, we ought to know how much of Love God has for us, and how he cares about us. This intent would awaken us to know that, our results in life are primarily to Glorify and Honor God. Listen to this episode and be blessed. #steadylife #glory #gratitude #result

Tuesday, 26 May 2026   They said to him, ‘Because no one hired us.' He said to them, ‘You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right you will receive.' Matthew 20:7   “They say to him, ‘Because no one, us, he hired.' He says to them, ‘You go, also you, into the vineyard, and the ‘if it should be righteous', you will take.'” (CG)   In the previous verse, Jesus said the housemaster went out at the eleventh hour and found laborers still standing around idly. He then asked them why they were standing idle all day. Next, we read, “They say to him, ‘Because no one, us, he hired.'”   As noted previously, there could be other reasons, such as having turned down a particular job, having not been where others saw them, etc. Regardless of that, however, by the end of the day, they had not been hired for a job.   At least they were persistent not to give up and go home before the final hour of the day. Instead, they remained hopeful of some small tasks to fill the final hour. And lo and behold, “He says to them, ‘You go, also you, into the vineyard.'”   This was a pretty sweet deal. They may not make a lot, but the heat of the day is behind, the workers would be finishing up their labors, and whatever they were tasked to do would include that final clean-up rather than the more rugged labors of the day. Whatever they made would be appreciated and just. This was confirmed with the housemaster's last words to them, “and the ‘if it should be righteous', you will take.”   Life application: These laborers were told they would be given what is just and righteous. The agreement was made, and so whatever they received was to be considered in that light. This is no different than our own situation when working.   A set amount of work is detailed, a set amount of hours a week is specified, and a particular amount of money, along with any benefits, is agreed to. In return for being hired with the expectation of the job conforming to those parameters, employees are then expected to perform according to what they said they would do.   It is unconscionable for the employer to withhold the wages of someone who worked according to a preset agreement. It is also unconscionable that a person would not show up for work and expect to be paid anyway.   But the world is full of cheaters from both ends. They refuse to do what they committed to. Other people will see this and look down on those who don't meet their obligations. But how many of us fail to meet our obligations in other ways? We treat divorce as if it were just a sad occurrence. Societally, it is no longer looked at as a failure to meet one's obligation to another.   People may steal from a store, as if they have a right to whatever it is they put their hands on. They fail to meet the obligation of paying for what someone else had to produce. Stores cost money to build or rent. Electricity, water, insurance, and many other bills have to be paid. The cost of merchandise must be considered. And yet, people steal from others as if they have a right to what is taken. This has been blown to epic proportions in liberal cities where even the government fails to protect the rights of store owners. Instead, they treat theft as a right for the poor to participate in.   All of these type of things leads to the greatest failure to meet obligations of them all. As people continue to tolerate such activities, they also move further and further from God. They fail to honor Him for what He has done. They become ungrateful, abusive, harmful toward others, etc. Unholiness abounds, and any thought of honoring God is cast out the window. In fact, those who attempt to honor Him are ignored, mocked, treated as societal offenders, etc. This pattern has repeated itself throughout history, including in the pages of the Bible. We need to be firm in meeting our obligations, resolute in standing up for morality, and firm in never accepting the unholiness of others – be it individuals, organizations, or governments.   Sometimes the hardest thing to do is the right thing, but doing right is the right thing to do. Honor God through standing fast and doing what is right at all times.   Lord God, help us to be people of integrity, even as the world moves towards ever-increasing wickedness. May we never allow unholiness to creep into our surroundings and cause us to adapt to it. Help us in this, O God. Amen.

In this message from Exodus 20:7, Pastor Jared Richard continues Bay Leaf Baptist Church's series through the Ten Commandments by turning the congregation's attention to the Third Commandment: "You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain." Using a word association exercise with names like Billy Graham, Mother Teresa, and Adolf Hitler, Pastor Jared establishes that names are far more than titles — they represent the full weight of a person's life and character. Because God's name, Yahweh, is a revealed, personal, and representative name that encapsulates all of who He is, it carries a holiness that demands our deepest reverence. As Exodus 3:15 declares, "This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations." Pastor Jared then walks through the many ways God's people misuse His name, going well beyond the obvious offense of profanity. Drawing from the Old Testament, he identifies three ancient patterns of misuse — sorcery, false prophecy, and false oaths — and shows how each has a modern equivalent. The prosperity gospel, for instance, mirrors ancient sorcery by invoking God's name as a tool to claim health and wealth, effectively turning the relationship between God and man into a transaction. False prophecy lives on whenever someone attaches "God said" to their own spiritual intuition or personal agenda, and false oaths persist whenever we use God's name to prop up promises we have no intention of keeping. Ultimately, Pastor Jared anchors the sermon in the gospel. Every person in the room has broken this commandment and stands guilty before God. But Jesus, who declared in John 12:28 that His aim in going to the cross was to glorify the Father's name, perfectly honored what we have profaned. He was condemned for blasphemy so that blasphemers could be forgiven. Because of Christ, we are now free to hallow God's name as we were created to — calling upon it in worship, prayer, and lives of genuine integrity that reflect the Lord we claim.
