Regrets. I've had a few. Has Picard? We watched two episode of a Star Trek show and had positive and negative reactions. What kind of references worked well and which felt unsatisfying? Have the wrongs of the past been repaired?  What is this about a Dominion War? How does technobabble supplement melodrama? Wade is too excited for all the ways the show has fixed his problems.  Glen is still reeling from the pain of what's come before and is not quite ready to trust again.  Sean is down for it.

Believe it or not, we're liking this season of Star Trek: Discovery, but... Let the nitpicking minute details commence! The dinner scene, for instance.  Detmer, is this your issue? Please be no. Some parents here want these teens to keep their hands off each other.  The horrorshow of ending up with your high school relationship. And finally, we bring back an old favorite segment from the RoA 

What's going on?  Has it been a whole year? How long is that anyway? Where's Sean? Questions are answered.  Lane and Courtney Bowen come back to talk about Star Trek Discovery.  Back on Earth things have fallen apart and the Discovery crew has to fix it.  Who needs Michael?  Oh.  Have things devolved back to what they were like before?   What? 

The Discovery crew shows up 930 years later and we finally get to meet some characters.  Wade is just so happy to finally like what the show is doing. Is this a Star Trek Cartoon or a Tim Robinson sketch?  Why not both?  Lots of guest stars in this one.  Well, not the podcast. Joanie left.  Is Lower Decks making its own lore?  

Wade invited a woman named Joanie onto the show and things got weird.  Just how many of the jokes on Lower Decks are references to other Trek, and how much does that even matter?   Has "Cupid's Errant Arrow" struck?  Somebody on this episode is excited for Status Report.  References are made.  

Under the Bridge this week starts with a peek at the mess under the hood of the podcast before getting all into "Moist Vessel."  All the pedantry you expect from a Star Trek podcast, and the outrage of a host mistakenly calling it "Star Wars."

Benny's here for Temporal Edict.  Who's Benny?  Someone who knows less about Star Trek than Sean.  Are the dumb jokes starting to wear thin?  If Glen keeps saying the C-word we're going to have to yell at him.

Does Star Trek: Picard put itself in an impossible situation? How much of past Trek is necessary just to know what's going on, and does the show provide any of what older fans want from their Star Trek? Picard revisits a Borg cube and we're revisited by figures from our past.  Does this podcast do the same? Providing what its creators want, but not what the fans crave? Oh well. A full crew complement! Benny Scheckner and Kristin from Montreal (formerly from Toronto) join the podcast this week.  Finally, another person who knows Trek, and a person who somehow knows less than even Sean. What the heck, Benny?

This episode caused a lot of commotion. Is this the 7 of 9 show or Picard?   Who is Icheb and does it matter to anyone who wasn't a fan of Voyager?  Is the opening a bad thing to watch with your mom?  Easter eggs are discussed. Glen has some questions about the economics of Borg reclamation, and Sean is having none of it.  

Picard needs to make amends with some battle nuns and a boy he left behind.  We don't hold anything back in our feelings about the show.
