Every kid feels like they are an artist and creative….  How honest are kids? Brutally honest. Based on key passages in the Bible, particularly the teachings of Jesus and Paul, here are three ways believers are encouraged to be like children: In Humility: Jesus explicitly links becoming like a child to humility and greatness in God's kingdom. Children in that culture had very low social status and were dependent, not seeking power or position. Scripture: Matthew 18:3-4 (NIV): "And he said: 'Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child 1 [or humbles themselves like this child] is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.'"   1. www.worldvision.org www.worldvision.org Meaning: Believers should abandon pride, self-importance, and the quest for status, instead adopting a humble dependence on God, recognizing their need for Him just as a child depends on a parent. In Trust and Receptivity: Jesus taught that the Kingdom of God must be received with the simple, trusting faith of a child. Children often trust readily and accept gifts freely without feeling they need to earn them or fully understand them. Scripture: Mark 10:15 (NIV): "Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." (Parallel in Luke 18:17) Meaning: Believers should approach God and His offer of salvation with simple, open-hearted trust, accepting His grace as a gift without relying on their own merits or overly complex reasoning. It implies a dependence on God's goodness and provision. In Innocence Regarding Evil: The Apostle Paul distinguishes between mature thinking and child-like innocence concerning malice and evil intentions. While believers should be mature in understanding, they should retain a child's lack of guile and ill will. Scripture: 1 Corinthians 14:20 (NIV): "Brothers and sisters, stop thinking like children. In regard to malice be infants, but in your thinking be adults." Meaning: Believers should strive to be innocent of plotting evil, holding grudges, or engaging in malicious behavior, much like an infant who is incapable of such things. It calls for purity of heart and intention.

The movie received mixed reviews at the time, but has since achieved cult status in the US, after appearing on television regularly. In 1985, Signet Books re-issued Cycle of the Werewolf under the title Silver Bullet in an edition that included King's screenplay alongside the original novella. This re-published edition also included a foreword by King, recounting the impetus of the novella and the background of the film adaptation. In this episode of Weird Darkness, however, I will be narrating the original novella. The book, at 127 pages, is technically a novella rather than a novel, but there is no shortage of scares, I assure you. The novella wasn't even supposed to be a novella at first. The entire concept started out, believe it or not, as a calendar by the Zavista company, with illustrations by renowned comic-book artist Bernie Wrightson. Each month of the proposed calendar featured a drawing by Wrightson complete with a short vignette by Stephen King. But King found the size of the vignettes, which were both small and extremely limited, to be problematic for his writing style. So he proceeded instead with the short novel and had it published by Land of Enchantment in 1983, but kept Wrightson's illustrations for the publication because they were so beautifully or horrifically brilliant. In the author's notes at the back of the novella, King admits to taking liberties with the lunar cycle. For example, if a full moon was on New Year's Day, another one wouldn't occur on Valentine's Day, but these dates are widely recognized in January and February. He explains that this was done to focus the relevant months more clearly in the readers' minds. Delusional Family Cheers On Son In Court Who Just Brutally Ended The Life Of Other Son A 17-year-old boy is behind bars after allegedly fatally shooting his 20-year-old brother during an argument at their Fall River home. Prosecutors say Jaylen Lambert shot and killed Jaleale Simmons on Saturday afternoon after the two brothers began to fight, leaving Simmons with a single gunshot wound to the chest. Officers with the Fall River Police Department responded to the 900 block of Rodman Street and discovered Simmons suffering from a life-threatening injury. Emergency personnel transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. According to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, the confrontation began as a physical altercation, with the brothers' mother attempting to separate them and pushing Simmons into a bedroom. Lambert allegedly left the home but returned shortly afterward, this time carrying a firearm with an extended magazine. Prosecutors said he then fired a single shot into his brother's chest. During Lambert's arraignment, the teenager stood quietly, shaking his head as prosecutors detailed their case. Supporters in the courtroom reportedly yelled words of encouragement, including “We love you” and “It's all right!” Lambert faces charges of murder, possession of a large capacity firearm, and possession of a firearm without a firearm identification card. Under Massachusetts law, juvenile courts cannot handle first- or second-degree murder cases if the defendant is over 16, meaning Lambert will be tried as an adult. Defense attorney Frank D. Camera expressed sympathy for the family while also indicating that he believes Lambert has been “overcharged,” calling the case “a manslaughter.” He said he intends to examine what led to the tragic event and noted that a witness claimed the brothers often argued.
