Meanwhile, the Klingon Empire has accused the Federation of supplying arms to rebel forces, and it's up to Captain Picard and crew to prove that this is not the case. Join us as we go boldly!

Pinnacle Entertainment Group is launching a Kickstarter campaign on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026, for East Texas University: Fresh Blood, a fully updated edition of their cult-favorite college horror setting for the Savage Worlds roleplaying game. The game, set in Pinebox, Texas, blends campus life with supernatural horror, challenging players to balance their academic lives with survival against strange and deadly forces. The new edition updates the fan-favorite setting for the latest Savage Worlds Adventure Edition and introduces a brand-new Plot Point Campaign that carries players through their entire college career. The campaign features a 228-page core book, the Chickens in the Mist graphic novel, and an accessories box. Modiphius Entertainment announced the upcoming release of the Star Trek Adventures 2E: Allies and Adversaries Sourcebook, slated for July 2026. This 128-page, full-color supplement for the Star Trek Adventures RPG is geared primarily toward Gamemasters and offers new lore and mechanics for the various factions and NPCs in the Star Trek Universe. The book provides detailed background information on major powers, including the Borg, Cardassians, Dominion, Klingon Empire, Romulans, and Tholians. Additionally, it expands on NPC content with new stat blocks and includes rules and guidance for creating original creatures. The physical hardcover version will retail for $54 USD. Wizards of the Coast (WotC) has launched a new official Actual Play show called Dungeon Masters, starring Jasmine Bhullar as the Dungeon Master. Alongside the show, WotC is releasing free Play-Along Packs, which are standalone encounters designed for home games and include early access to a monster from Ravenloft: The Horrors Within. The first pack, “Zombie Clot,” features a fight in the village of Hroth, where a grieving doctor has unleashed undead horrors. This pack provides stats for the Swarm of Zombie Limbs and the Zombie Clot, which is described as a putrid mass of rotten flesh with a singular will. Two new softcover adventures for the Mothership Sci-Fi Horror RPG are now available: Orphans and Straight Arrows. Orphans by Tuesday Knight Games is a one-shot starter adventure that is highly-regarded as an excellent introduction to the system. In it, player characters (PCs) are a corporate retrieval team sent to Imuen Station to find two missing children, who are being protected by “AUNTIE,” a terrifying creature made of moss and bones. Straight Arrows by RAC Computing is a 36-page campaign setting where the PCs are bounty hunters for the insidious Arrow Biomed corporation, performing extrajudicial abductions of privileged addicts. This module focuses on a gritty, dystopian corporate horror vibe and incorporates social issues like drug crime and a tiered healthcare system. #dungeonmasters #stal #eturpg #mothership East Texas University: Fresh Blood: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/545820095/east-texas-university-fresh-blood-savage-worlds D&D Beyond Play Along Pack: https://www.dndbeyond.com/claim/source/dungeon-masters-zombie-clot-play-along-pack Orphans: https://www.tuesdayknightgames.com/products/orphans Straight Arrows: https://www.tuesdayknightgames.com/products/straight-arrows Dune Bundles: Physical – https://humblebundleinc.sjv.io/1G1KE9 Digital – https://humblebundleinc.sjv.io/WO4PBA Warmachine on MyMiniFactory: https://mmf.io/upturned Mantic Companion App: https://companion.manticgames.com/ Use our Referral code: MCTXEE Support Us by Shopping on DTRPG (afilliate link): https://www.drivethrurpg.com?affiliate_id=2081746 Matt’s DriveThruRPG Publications: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse.php?author=Matthew%20Robinson https://substack.com/@matthewrobinson3 Chris on social media: https://hyvemynd.itch.io/ Jeremy's Links: http://www.abusecartoons.com/ http://www.rcharvey.com Support Us on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/upturnedtable Give us a tip on our livestream: https://streamlabs.com/upturnedtabletop/tip Donate or give us a tip on Paypal: https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/2754JZFW2QZU4 Intro song is “Chips” by KokoroNoMe https://kokoronome.bandcamp.com/

Episode Notes Batman! In the Pale Moonlight: Coming on the heels of Inquisition, this is SOMETHING. Personal Log. The grim ritual of the casualty logs. How do you convince the Romulans? Garak is always up for a little light skullduggery. Quark has his day. Julian puts up a fight. What an interesting development. Garak also has his day. The self-respect of one Starfleet Officer. Sisko's long descent into the moral grey. Garak's respect for Sisko. Curzon knew Romulans. BabSpace9 is a production of the Okay, So network. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Series 5, Episode 6. First broadcast on Monday 4 November 1996. Stardate: Unknown (2373) and 4523.7. This week, the crew of the USS Defiant deploy some exciting new digital video technology to travel back to 1967 and inveigle themselves into a beloved episode of Star Trek: The Original Series. It's a perfect thirtieth birthday present for the franchise, reminding us that Trek isn't about nerds watching the Romulans and the Federation shoot at each other — it's about being cool and stylish and funny. In space. With great hair.
Only so much time before we encountered John Locke, the Stepfather of the Star Trek universe. Riker meets his Captain from another Ship - the USS Pegasus - which was deemed lost 12 years ago. Well, it's back, and the Romulans want it. That's when we discover there's a lot more in Riker's past that made him the No. 1 he is today, including new phaser settings (mutiny!). A wonderfully acted and directed episode with a stellar cast. Must Watch! Please send us any thoughts on the series to LetsReEngage@gmail.com or on Bluesky, Greg's social media of choice. Historic RPG designer Ken St. Andre (Tunnels & Trolls, Starfaring, Monsters! Monsters!, Stormbringer, more) joins for this episode. The game that shall not be named. Is it wise to go into dungeons as an adventurer, or do you just need luck? The practicality of six-siders versus Platonic solids. The most powerful buttons in the universe. Who's tougher, the Romulans or the Klingons? Marbles were the collectible card game of their day. Diplomacy variants. Gary Gygax's first introduction to Tunnels & Trolls. Dave Arneson's contribution to Flying Buffalo Games. Ken's impressions of Dave. Ken's opinion on whether OD&D was an actual RPG. Ken told TSR's lawyers, and I quote, "go piss up a rope." Ken's advice to game designers. Clever solutions in dealing with a Balrog. What is "stunting" in an RPG? Tunnels & Trolls on the MetaArcade app. Ken and Shane's predictions about AI's effect on the RPG industry. Mata Hari. Ken was a pioneer in solo RPG adventures (which Shane feels is important). What game of Ken's does he think is better than Tunnels & Trolls? Some Elric discussion. The secret brotherhood of librarians (or lack thereof). A brief diversion into chicken psychology. When evidence reveals the drone pilot to be a white Andorian, Archer and Shran beam down to the polar region looking for the Aenar. But after building a telepresence chair right in the middle of sicksbay, the crew's tests eventually reach Gareb and end the Romulan attack. Who's not the easiest person to work with? When some cloaked Romulans interrupt Space-Church, Kirk feels it necessary to investigate. The Borg.Retroactively foreshadowed in the first season finale of Star Trek: The Next Generation, fully realized one season later, The Borg is easily identified as the biggest nemesis associated with the franchise, and is considered among the top three non-Human alien races along with the Romulans and the Klingons. In this episode of Twin Cities Trekkies, the penultimate - and thirteenth - part of the podcast's celebration of Star Trek: Voyager's thirtieth anniversary, Wes welcomes Holly of the Five-ish Fangirls Podcast to talk about this cybernetic race of beings, who makes the most appearances in Star Trek: Voyager. Data's Day (Star Trek: The Next Generation (TNG), S4 E11) was recommended by He/Him, who said: Speaking as someone with higher functioning autism with ADHD as a cherry on top, I've always found a kinship with characters like Spock, Data and Seven. Data more so as his efforts to become more human tended to mirror my own struggles to understand social norms that made little sense to me. Half the time I was completely clueless that I ever did anything wrong in the first place.Having an entire episode dedicated to seeing things through his eyes was very relatable to me. From completely failing to read the room with relaying Keiko's wedding cancellation to his attempts to use friendly insults. His analytical mindset also resonated with me as my ADHD basically puts my brain into turbo mode, analyzing anything and everything without stopping. Good for brainstorming and creativity, not so good when you need to shut out the nastiness of the world and center yourself. While my life experience is not a one to one with his, there is enough there that an episode dedicated to him is a welcome addition.Data's Day first aired on January 7, 1991, written by story by Harold Apter, teleplay by Harold Apter & Ronald D. Moore, and directed by Robert WiemerData gets dancing lessons from Dr. Crusher in preparation of Chief O'Brien's wedding as the Enterprise brings Ambassador T'Pel to the Romulans for negotiations. The Joy of Trek is hosted by Khaki & Kay, with editing & production by Chief Engineer Greg and music by Fox Amoore (Bandcamp | Bluesky)Send us your recommendations, or support us on Patreon.Find us at joyoftrek.com · Twitter · Facebook

The Enterprise Incident (Star Trek: The Original Series (TOS), S3 E2) was recommended by IronBoomer; He/Him, who said: This one is largely fun from start to finish, as we literally start with Kirk acting out of his regular character, ordering the Enterprise into Romulan Territory; where they're prompted confronted by Romulans, who now have cloaking devices.Where this gets fun is watching Shatner purposefully overact as Kirk not acting "normal" and Nimoy getting to lean on the whole "no-emotions" with Spock purposefully seducing the Romulan commander. It really looks like he's gonna tap that Commander at one point, even if it's a seeming ruse. The Enterprise Incident first aired on December 20, 1968, written by Edward J. Lakso, and directed by Marvin ChomskyWhile transporting an arrogant, demanding spoiled princess for a political marriage, Captain Kirk must cope both with her biochemical ability to force him to love her and sabotage on his ship.[2]The Joy of Trek is hosted by Khaki & Kay, with editing & production by Chief Engineer Greg and music by Fox Amoore (Bandcamp | Bluesky)Send us your recommendations, or support us on Patreon.Find us at joyoftrek.com · Twitter · Facebook

With heavy hearts, Anika and Liz discuss "Four and a Half Vulcans", the worst episode of Star Trek's streaming era, and possibly one of the top five worst episodes of Star Trek ever. So that's fun. Liz keeps returning to the question, "Is this worse than 'Code of Honor'?" "I understand that this is meant to be funny." Genetics and hair don't work like that "I felt disrespected as a viewer." The whole "feminist career women can't cook, amiright?" trope was tired when they did it with Janeway in the '90s and it's more tired with Chapel and Batel now Anika: the only person on the whole internet watching "Amok Time" for the Spock/Chapel Comedy mind control rape (for the second time in a season) Uhura this season generally has whatever personality is required for the plot, but using her for TERF propaganda about groomers is unforgivable Romula'an is almost a good storyline, provided you don't know anything about genetics, Romulans or how "Tomorrow, Tomorrow and Tomorrow" went Why is Marie's professional future wrapped up in a plot from I Love Lucy? Pike uses Marie's chronic condition to try to sabotage her career, because apparently their relationship is now a horror story from r/BestofRedditorUpdates You have to be really incompetent to come up with a dance-off that we hate this much!
Episode 4: Romulans What happened between Spock and Pardek? Are Picard and Data trying to get caught? Did Spock read Troi's file? Where did Shinzon get Picard's DNA?
