Today, we're going to talk about planners. This is one of those things that early on. When things get really complicated on our house. I leaned on different ways to keep track of things and keeping things straight in my head because I found that when things restraint in my head. Then I would know where to go look for the answers. Plus I wouldn't have to use my brain as a filing system! Which would never work out! Discussed: Parentcaregiversummit.com Plum Paper Survivingthewaitingroom.co

A free 3-Day event to give Parents + Caregivers of children with disabilities a plan to ease daily stress and exhaustion with simple systems. Running from September 20-22, 2021 I'm answering the questions that you have. I've found speakers to answer the questions or to give you help and guidance in the areas that you're asking for. I am so excited about what is coming up. Our first summit was specifically for moms, but I knew something was missing. It didn't encompass the whole scope of who cares for kids with special needs; chronic conditions; with disabilities. And so I wanted to really make a point and expand it. And I wanted to make it something special. So I decided to create the Parent + Caregiver Summit: Children with Disabilities Edition. People, moms especially want to be more intentional. Our lives are fast-paced except when we're fried which is when we wish we had taken the time to do certain things. It is really important for moms to connect with who they are connecting with. It doesn't take much and is always welcome. It is also as important to release those people, groups, etc. who are sucking the spark out of you. I'm hearing moms caring for kids with extra-ordinary needs telling me they want to live more intentionally. Their lives are hectic and chaotic - time seems to be slipping away and they have no idea where all the time has gone. When I ask people what they think of when they hear the word intentional they immediately go to accomplishments, tasks, and goals. To them living intentionally is making sure all the things they wanted to fit in, made it. I will have another podcast all about that! but for today let's stick with the IDEA of the intention. Go with me on this. Listen in and tell me if I've changed how you think of things. Facebook Instagram SurvivingTheWaitingRoom.co
Seasons a word that describes our moment in time wrapping the struggles, weight, schedules, and daily lives all up in a neat bow. When there is nothing neat about it. In this episode, we'll talk about the connection I've seen between certain seasons and how we feel about our personal freedom. As well as the interesting correlations I've seen over the years that make a huge difference in my client's lives. I'd love to connect: Facebook Instagram SurvivingTheWaitingRoom.co
It's not glamorous, mysterious, or even fun. But it's oh, so important. Is a difference between feeling lost in grasping for lifelines or making decisions because they feel right from a place of strength and confidence. It doesn't mean that everything will turn out as you plan. And it doesn't mean that you'll feel more comfortable with the outcome because it was your choice. So, what do I mean? I mean when you make a choice based on other people's opinions without exploring if it's right for you. Then you give your power away. It's like when we were kids. And you did what your parents said, even if you didn't feel right to you
Hearing from the speakers over the last week, reminded me starting small is starting. Hearing from attendees also reminded me of the season that I was once in. The season of getting up each day and committing my life to their care, in the beginning, was just what I did. Right. It's just, just what you do. I did it, but over time it wore on me. It drained me. I had lost my spark for my life. So what do we do? Tune in and let's talk!
So your child with health issues has made it through high school. Just about finishing it. It was most likely a struggle. We have come to the point of the year that either we've moved on from our shiny new year idea. Or we're putting things in place to make them happen. I'm excited to bring to you the episode that gives you a little bit more insight into who I am and a little bit more about why I do what I do. So when I was raising my daughters, they had so many different medical issues. We were definitely known as that family, that if it was something strange and something uncommon, it was definitely going to happen to us. I'm sure you can relate to that in some way. Hey there, I'm Moira Cleary and I'm excited to bring to the Surviving, the Waiting Room Podcast. My goal is to focus on you and your needs as you navigate life while raising a child with challenging needs. If you're listening after the official launch, then thanks for tuning in, and be sure to check out the rest of the episodes. If you're hearing this before the official launch, be sure to subscribe so that, you're the first to know when the episodes begin to drop, I'm pretty excited about it. So I hope you do. You might be a single stay at home homeschooling or a working mom. Whatever the case is, I'm here to remind you that you matter and deserve more out of life. In case, you don't know me. I'm a practical realist, Professionally Certified Coach, mindfulness practitioner, and the mom of two beautiful, smart, funny teenagers who have over 14 chronic often debilitating invisible conditions. And if you're curious, I'm an INFP and an Enneagram 9 This show is for moms raising kids with chronic illnesses and needs who find themselves holding off from doing things, even question themselves. And maybe if you're like me, you felt like all of a sudden your whole life has become one big waiting room. I want you to remember that you matter as much as your children do and that we can get through this together. For the last three years, I've thought about launching this podcast. There are so many amazing podcasts of strength and encouragement, triumph out there. All within the special needs community. All created to remind us that we're not alone. And inspire us to hold on. But I needed help understanding what to do. How I could make changes in my own life to get there. What did I need to change to get to that point? So when I got the help and I became healthy, it dawned on me. That as a coach and a mindfulness practitioner, I was actually in a unique position to help other moms find their strengths so that they could shut for themselves and their families the way they want to. And not just with the leftovers. In this show, we'll be covering areas like mindset shifts, practical self-care boundaries. Organizing and a whole lot more. I'll do my best to keep the information short and to the point, which means mainly solo episodes. And perhaps some short interviews scattered throughout the year. I fully believe that we all need help remembering that we're women first and mom's second. The stronger we become as women, the stronger we become as moms. Through this podcast. My hope is that you'll begin to move out of the waiting room of life. And begin to feel like yourself again. Our first episode will come out just after the Mom.
