According to the National Center for Education Statistics, for the 1970-71 academic year, the average in-state tuition and fees for one year at a public non-profit university was $394. By the 2020-21 academic year, that amount jumped to $10,560, an increase of 2,580%. This is a cumulative price increase of about 567% during the last 50 years. What are parents and students supposed to do? The world says "take on as many student loans as you need! Everyone is doing it and you'll pay it off eventually..."Greg Gipp joins us today to both offer help and hope that we don't need to go into a mountain of debt to achieve the goals and dreams God has laid on our hearts. We have options! And, we can avoid becoming a slave to the lender, which impacts every part of our lives. This is a must-listen for parents and students who are in their upper high school years. To get a hold of Greg Gipp, please e-mail John at jvanne@gracepres.org Additional resource we recommend parents and students watch:Borrowed Future: How Student Loans are Killing the American Dream
