The Bookmarked Podcast is an absolute gem that I stumbled upon serendipitously, and it has brought so much joy to my family. From the very first episode, we have been hooked and excitedly anticipate each new release. Even the stories that don't have a deeper meaning or message are incredibly fun and entertaining. One of my personal favorites is "Go Dog Go," which never fails to make us giggle uncontrollably with its hilarious rendition.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is how it captivates children's attention. My 3-year-old insists on listening to it whenever we're in the car or when we go hiking and he needs some motivation. Previously, I had tried numerous audio stories and books, but my boys just weren't interested. However, this podcast changed everything! They now ask for stories every time we're in the car and even go around quoting their favorite lines (and noises). It would be wonderful if someone big could sponsor Paul so that we can have more new stories!
Another great aspect is how it keeps children engaged with active listening while also providing laughter and helping them wind down before bed. Many story time podcasts available for kids are slow-moving and fail to hold their interest for more than a couple of minutes, but Bookmarked is different. It perfectly fits the bill by keeping them still and attentive while also giving them a good laugh. My boys, Daniel and Samuel (nicknamed Tito and BB), highly recommend "Just Because You're Mine" by Sally Lloyd Jones as a great book suggestion.
As for any negative aspects of this podcast, I honestly can't think of any. It has been a game-changer for me as a parent who always struggles to come up with creative bedtime stories for my 4-year-old when she asks for one. Paul's Bookmarked podcast has become a lifesaver in those moments, providing much more entertaining content than my long, rambling made-up stories that often go nowhere.
In conclusion, the Bookmarked Podcast is a blessing for families with young children. It has become a staple in our nightly routine, and my kids absolutely adore it. Whether we're on the road or simply need some downtime at home, this podcast never fails to entertain and engage. Paul's talented voice acting and the selection of books make it a must-listen for any parent or caregiver. I can't thank him enough for creating such a wonderful show that brings joy to my family day after day.
