October looks radically different than September. In general there's just more happening, with 26 major aspects or planetary motions, compared with September's 16. Mercury and Venus will finally change signs, after both having extended transits due to retrogrades. Mars and the Sun are also on the move. We'll be navigating Eclipses and Eclipse season. If you weren't enjoying the slower, same same pace of September, October brings plenty of shifts and changes. Or if the mutability of Virgo season was the kind of busy you're not a fan of, Libra season may provide better balance and a sense of momentum. I think this is usually said about March, and in the reverse, but September is really doing a whole, in like a lamb out like a lion thing. Nothing really jumped off the calendar quite like the events of the 29th and 30th. We've got a near-Eclipse Full Moon in Aries, two Uranus activations, and Mercury clearing the shadow of its retrograde all within 2 days. We've had other clusters of activity in September, but this is by far the most active, the most flashy. It's also potentially a little destabilizing, but nonetheless very exciting in how it might get things moving and shaking. This week, we're taking a look at the Sun's movements through the Zodiac. It's a busy few days for the daytime luminary, as it makes its way through the final degrees of Virgo, meeting up with Neptune and Pluto along the way, and then heading into the sign of Libra. It's not the most challenging week for the Sun, but it's not the easiest breeziest one either. We'll explore the differences between a Neptunian influence and a Plutonian one, and how that might manifest here on Earth. August ends in much the same way it began - with a weighty Full Moon marked by the influence of Saturn. It's a much different energy here at the end of the month, however. We've swapped the animated and vibrant energy of Leo season, for the more reserved and systematic energy of Virgo season. We're navigating the mishaps and miscommunications of Mercury retrograde. And with Mars about to move into Libra, a sign of its detriment, this final week of August just feels a little less exciting and electric than the start of the month did. The last few days of Leo season are upon us! Soak up the Sun at its brightest while you can! Virgo season will begin midweek, which feels extra fitting for a mutable sign that takes us from one season of nature to the next. Overall, this week feels like a week where we say a big yes to things that bring freedom and spaciousness, that encourage authenticity, that allow us to shake things up, and try something new. There's a lot of Uranus in the mix, and we've also got a New Moon in brave and daring Leo. It feels like a week when we're inspired to be a little more bold than we're used to. To take some risks. To jump into something because it feels so deeply in alignment with who we are at our very core. And if you've got planets and/or points at 23˚ of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) this is a big week for you. There's going to be some growing pains and some frustrations in getting what you want, but just keep saying yes to what you know is right for you and you'll make it through. August comes in like a lion - it is Leo season, after all - kicking the month off with a big and bright Full Moon in Aquarius, a rare-ish Mars-Jupiter aspect, AND an opposition with Mercury & Saturn. Whew! The biggest focus of this time period though, is Jupiter. These may be the final days of July, but one of the most anticipated and talked about transits of 2023 - Venus' Retrograde in Leo - is just getting started. It's kind of a “big deal” week in the cosmos with the Nodes of the Moon changing signs, something that only happens every 18 months or so. Mars and Saturn will make an opposition, which only happens every other year, so the last time was in 2021. And then we also have our annual New Moon in Cancer, which I always think is extra special since the Moon itself rules Cancer. Mercury is really in the spotlight this week, as it forms aspects with both Neptune and Pluto, changes signs into Leo, and has Mars visiting its earthy domicile of Virgo. All of which is taking place within a 3 day window, so the 9th, 10th, and 11th of July might have a more mentally stimulating energy. And with both Mars and Mercury changing signs, there could be some loose ends getting wrapped up in certain areas of life, while new beginnings arise in others. I won't sugarcoat it - the final week of June might be fairly challenging for some folks. It kicks off with some uncomfortable and potentially spicy square aspects. Mercury leaves its home sign of Gemini, swimming into the ever-changing tides Cancer. Our lightest aspects of the week both involve serious Saturn. And then on the final day of June, Neptune begins its annual RX, which, depending on your chart, may or may not be a big deal. Kind of a wishy-washy way to end the month, which feels on point for Neptune being in the mix. This second full week of June feels transitional in a way. Like we're moving ahead in certain areas, while taking a step back in others. It's a definite shift in energy from the first 10 days of the month, which started off so bold and bright. Pluto is heading back into Capricorn, ending its first run through Aquarius. Mercury is moving on to Gemini, where mental stimulation is turned up to an 11. And by the end of the week, Saturn will begin its yearly retrograde cycle. It does feel a little like we're building towards the Gemini New Moon, which will kick off next week's forecast, but for now let's bring our attention to June 11...
