Dearest Listeners,Post Lunar Eclipse in Pisces CommentsThis episode has really taken awhile to present itself.  I recorded it three days after the actual eclipse occurred.  What happened?  For a short time all of my files disappeared.  In a Neptunian fashion, coupled with Uranus in Gemini affecting my ability to communicate through technology, I was in deep water, and my ship was not moving.In this episode, I talk about what needs to be released, and I see that it's not only my physical environment, but how my computer has to be considered in terms of things that I emotionally have an attachment to, that holds my life in the past, in one way or another. This recent Lunar Eclipse served as a powerful reminder of how we can be bound by the past.Pisces is one of the three water elemental signs.  It is the final sign of the zodiac, and is a repository of our life and soul journeys.  It is associated with the 12 house, and is under guidance of the contemporary rulership with Neptune, and ancient rulership of Jupiter.Interestingly enough, I felt and still feel a strong pull toward the energetic direction of this Lunar Eclipse.  Personally, it occurred in my 10th house, and was placed directly on top of my natal Mars, which means a conjunction.  As I glance in the "rearview mirror of my life"  I'm reflecting on what kind of current and  past undertow needs to be recognized.  Using the symbology of water( literally bodies of water), it represents where experiences are collected.  Pisces as a water sign represents the emotional, intuitive, liminal, and often those experiences that hover at the edges of consciousness.  Sometimes we can get a glimpse of what is hidden in our sub/unconscious through dreams, or of a fleeting remembrance of feelings surfacing to awareness.On August 27-28, the Full Moon in Pisces and Lunar Eclipse presented us  with the  ability to look deeper at what is, and the opportunity to experience the illumination of what was started in the dark of the new Moon. The energetic attunement of the Moon actually started at the Solar Eclipse. Do consider this  as a fabulous opportunity, to call on your own inner Muse for some deep insight and life guidance. Maybe you might just find what you've been seeking.Symbolically and literally, this Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse offered and continues to offer  a chance to peer into our own psyches with discernment about  the inner nature of one's personal past, and perhaps gain some understanding of future possibilities for yourself. The Lunar Eclipse continues to move like an energetic time continuum. It is a portal between our conscious outer self, while the Moon gives a light beam and illumination into the collective unconscious realm.We're each being invited to look, and step into the unconscious as the Moon Goddess, Herself becomes our Guide, Protector  and Illuminator. By definition, the Moon symbolizes the aspect within us that nurtures the essence of our soul being.If you are a person who has natal Moon in Pisces, you are already somewhat familiar with intuitive, empathetic  feelings, intense dream states, creative-artistic insights, spiritual and sacred revelation. In addition, you probably live with puzzling experiences of psychic pain and sometimes disturbing hidden forgotten memories that are submerged just below conscious awareness. With this recent  Full Moon and Eclipse, if you choose to journey deeper into the unconscious realm, there is the potential for some major life healing and change.  The combined power of these cosmic events  have provided an opportunity to see how current life experiences, past actions, re-occurring questions, patterns, challenges, and problematic situations are rooted in the multi-layered unconscious of unhealed parts of self.  Where in your astrology chart, “Life Map”,  did the Moon and Eclipse happen? By finding your Moon/Eclipse position you may be able to gain deeper clarity and increased self awareness and understanding.  There won't be another Lunar Eclipse in Pisces until,  the year 2043.It is also extremely important to note that if an individual has been willing to trust the inner wisdom of the Moon, and venture on this journey, there are gifts to be had that are associated with the Pisces sign, 12th house and Neptune.  There are hidden treasures that come out of the willingness to recognize what needs to be healed both for self, and in turn will serve as  healing space for others.Pisces is the sign that represents collective awareness and understanding, that all beliefs of separation at the Soul Core level are an illusion.  The Moon represents the part of self that connects with the night, the unconscious, the inner realm of intuition, instinctual patterns as the Divine Soul connector . Since this was a Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Pisces, it is important to acknowledge those ancient, hidden aspects, parts and patterns that have circled the edges of your awareness/consciousness for a long time. When we look closely, we will see life issues, experiences, challenges, or problems that have been experienced before, but have probably been pushed aside. In psychological discussions those negative but potent disembodied aspects of self are termed the “Shadow”. In descriptions from astrological writings  the hidden but active unconscious parts, which often, can and do sabotage a person's life, are called the “hidden enemies”.   The 12th house is often referred to as the house of “undoing”, things we refuse to acknowledge which keep us mired in “problems, situations and just plain misery”.If you only used your astrological chart to gain some awareness of yourself by way of this Full Moon and  Lunar Eclipse, you would be doing yourself an immense favor. Wondering about the lunar eclipse meaning as it relates to the August full moon in Pisces? Late night on August 27 and into the wee hours of August 28, we had a full moon and a deep lunar eclipse. If you’ve been hearing that this is intense or life-changing, relax. Here’s what’s actually happening in the sky and how to use this moment in a calm, practical way without drama or dire predictions. What Happened in the Sky The lunar eclipse and the full moon are just one event, happening within a couple of hours of each other. It’s called a deep eclipse, although still a partial one, because the Earth’s shadow covered about 96% of the Moon. Not quite total, but close. That’s  why the celestial messages sound so generic, because they are written to appeal to everyone.  Back in the day, astrology offered monthly horoscopes which were still sort of general but at least were tailored to your sun sign. This just adds more negativity to an already overloaded nervous system. A planetary alignment is not an emergency alert. An eclipse is not proof that your life is about to fall apart. If astrology leaves you feeling uneasy, powerless, or convinced disaster is unavoidable, take a step back. That’s not astrological wisdom, it’s factually more like fear-mongering marketing. Many use dire language  simply to get your attention and make you click. The Hoax of Barbault’s Basket First, let me explain who André Barbault was. A French astrologer, he first identified the four planets aligning in this basket shape back in 1955. He studied how this configuration corresponded to specific turning points in history. The most recent “Barbault’s Basket,” just happened on July 15–24, 2026. Many writers pointed this being a dramatic time for a new world order and that created a lot of catastrophic headlines. Guess what I learned after reading several, very long astrological discussions about the Basket? Nothing! That’s right, these long articles never drew a conclusion about what it actually meant. I also did an international review of the news for that July period and NOTHING big happened in the news. Some things escalated but those events had begun earlier. It was just a lot of hype and no substance. Red Flags of Fear-Based Astrology When a video or post says a transit will definitely cause a breakup, financial loss, illness, or catastrophe, there’s no need to continue engaging with it. The same is true for content that insists you must do something or offers the same alarming prediction for everyone. If it leaves you feeling panicky, that’s a red flag. A responsible astrologer says, “this may be a demanding period,” then explain what area might need extra attention. That’s very different from “disaster is coming.” If a post makes you feel scared or helpless, turn away and return to the facts of your life. Think about what’s actually happening and one sensible action you can take to improve your situation. JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ FOR THIS WEEK'S ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING PODCAST WHICH DROPS SEPTEMBER 19 @https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speakingToday's podcast explores that fact that this month's waning third-quarter of the lunar cycle—which leads us to the September 21 Virgo New Moon solar eclipse--has been a time to wake up & smell the coffee that our constitutional rights here in the U.S. are under threat.So, before we even reach this second eclipse in this fall's series--which began with the Pisces Full Moon total lunar eclipse on March 7--we're asked at the end of the monthly lunar cycle to adjust to several realities. Doing so allows us to better recognize what seeds we're being called to plant at the Virgo New Moon solar eclipse on September 21.Since the assassination of prominent right-winger Charlie Kirk on September 10, we experienced the September 13 Sun/Mercury superior conjunction in Virgo. And since then, Mercury has moved ahead of the Sun to become an evening star, meaning he's more prominently visible in the night sky.In turn, this B symbolizes it's now time—between September 13 & November 9 when Mercury once again stations retrograde—for clear observation & rational, logical, organized, & pragmatic thought that leads to ultimately to action.I often point out that my astrological philosophy is that the universe is benign & that it has no interest in making any of us suffer. Rather, it simply provides opportunities every moment of everyday for us to grow in consciousness. And if we don't recognize these moments, the universe doesn't give up!With that in mind, we're tasked right now with recognizing the pain of injustices that curtail the rights of both individuals & groups. And to begin to recognize we must push back against such injustices, or we'll continue to be subjected to additional onslaughts against our rights, such as the right free speech.We've witnessed an outpouring of grief on many different levels since the Pisces New Moon total lunar eclipse & during this monthly lunar cycle's last week. But the main one was the silencing via murder of an outspoken conservative who used religion as a shield to justify his prejudices against those he did not like. The aftermath of his murder brought grief, pain, & suffering to both those who followed him AND those who KNOW that killing someone because of his speech is morally WRONG.And not only wrong, it's unconstitutional, at least here in America. As Kirk's death began to sink in amongst the masses of both his followers & his critics, the powers that be began to curtail the speech of his detractors which has resulted in the stifling of voices such as late-night comedic talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.So what began with an outpouring of pain & grief has culminated in a discussion of how our current political polarization has wounded us—as evidenced by September 16's Mercury quincunx wounded healer Chiron, Venus's trine to Chiron, & Mars' opposition to Chiron.By September 17, however, the pushback against allowing anyone other than conservatives to speak freely began as Mercury in Virgo opposed Saturn retrograde in Pisces on September 17. Mercury then entered Libra & opposed Neptune retrograde in Aries, & trined Pluto in Aquarius September 18. In addition, Venus in Libra quincunxed Saturn in Pisces & the Virgo Sun quincunxed Chiron in Aries then too.GRIEF OVER THE ASSASSINATION OF FREE SPEECHQuincunxes are 150-degree aspects between planets, which makes them so far apart that they do not recognize or “see” each other. Most astrologers agree they are indications that an adjustment must be made. Like needing to turn your head to see what's out of your immediate range of peripheral vision, a quincunx alerts us it's time to look both ways before proceeding.In this case, as these quincunxes begin to register, they are waxing us toward this next solar eclipse. Mercury also trines Uranus & Pluto, Venus enters Virgo & quincunxes both Neptune & Saturn, squares Uranus, & quincunxes Pluto. In addition, the Virgo Sun opposes Saturn in Pisces, & ALL of these aspects occur between September 18 & September 21 in the lead up to the upcoming solar eclipse. Instead of parsing each of these individually, let's simply analyze what's occurred in the collective as we reach the end of this month's lunar cycle, shall we? What we have in fact seen--& are in fact experiencing now--is a rude awakening to the extremes that divergent political stances can bring. Even to the point where ignoring—or worse yet, excusing--gun violence by rationalizing it as a necessary by-product of such polarization because conservatives believe it's an expression of our rights as American under the Second Amendment.So, as we approach the 29'05” Virgo New Moon solar eclipse at 12:54 p.m. PT & 3:54 p.m. ET on September 21, it might then be a good time to engage in meditation, prayer, or mindfulness about what Mercury, the Sun, & the Moon's oppositions to Saturn & Neptune at this eclipse are asking us to do.Again, the collective is mirroring the answer back to us right now, and that is to resist pressure against our constitutional rights, most importantly the right to speak out. On September 15, as we waxed toward Mercury's quincunx & Mars' opposition to Chiron September 16 & Mercury's opposition to Saturn September 17 Pam Bondi, the Attorney General of the U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ) said the following in an interview posted on Youtube:“There's free speech, and then there's hate speech,” she announced while declaring that federal law enforcement will “go after” Americans for hate speech.The problem? There is, in fact, no hate-speech exception to the First Amendment. The First Amendment in the U.S. Constitution says the following: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”The fact is that the First Amendment was set up by America's founders to restrain the government, not individuals. In other words, the Supreme Court has parsed out in many cases what is acceptable under the First Amendment & what is not when it comes to both the government & individuals. Speech inciting “immediate violence” is prohibited under this amendment, but political speech is protected. For more on this--& remember, it pays to know the facts--see: https://constitutioncenter.org/the-constitution/amendments/amendment-i/interpretations/266In any case, it's now time to adjust our thinking as per all of these quincunxes & to push back against these oppositional threats to our constitutional rights—including that of free speech as it exists under U.S. constitutional law. By the time Mercury entered more negotiable & comprisable Libra on September 18, Bondi was forced to “walk back” her words about “going after” Americans for constitutionally protected “hate speech.” TIME TO FIGHT BACKThe other important transits happening around this solar eclipse is that Mars, which moves into Scorpio just before the Sun enters Libra at the fall equinox on Septembers 22, is waxing toward its third quarter “crisis in consciousness” waning square to Pluto in Aquarius on September 24. This podcast explores the history of this Mars/Pluto cycle from its  beginning in February 2024 until now, so tune in for more!But basically, in the common parlance of a born & bred New Yorker, the response to Pam Bondi's threats against free speech--& as a trained lawyer & the Attorney General for the state of Florida before being appointed head of the DoJ Bondi CLEARLY knows better—“dem's fightin' words!”All of these oppositions & quincunxes point now to this solar eclipse's culmination. That's because, according to astrologer Ronnie Dreyer, it's energies technically began when the transiting true nodal axis reached the 29'05” Virgo South Node position circa January 22/23 only days after the inauguration of President Donald Trump.In total, the question now is can we plant seeds that lead to the further clear sighted analyzation of what's occurred since January of this year that's blocked us from being protected by established constitutional law? And, can we muster up the energy necessary now to fight back before it gets even worse?U.S. history tells us we can. But it's going to involve leaving behind any confusion about what's going on now, calling a spade a spade, & formulating a pragmatic, logical plan to uphold our rights as Americans. As astrologer Ronnie Dreyer noted in early September, when Uranus stations retrograde along with an eclipse, the week or two leading up to & after these astro events can be filled with all sorts of shocking events. It's common knowledge among astrologers that the themes of eclipses often make themselves felt prior to when they are exact. Combined with the retrograde station of Uranus, it seems that the chaotic, violent events of the past two weeks certainly prove this to be true.This podcast explores the nature of this past week's shocking events--from earthquakes in Afghanistan that killed 2,200 people & ones off the coast of Oregon, to the fall of prime ministers & other high-level officials in France & Japan. And then there's the protests by Gen Z members that torched a government building & killed 22 in Nepal, leading to their prime minister's resignation. From Russian drones violating NATO's airspace in Poland to Israel's attempted assassination of Hamas negotiators by targeting them in Doha, Qatar, to the murder of right wing political activist Charlie Kirk in Utah, such shocking events illustrate a whole lot of violence in a short period of time.Of course it doesn't help that transiting Mars in Libra has been waxing closer to its exact opposition to dwarf planet Eris, the goddess of chaos, discord, & strife, & wounded healer Chiron—both in Aries—which perfect on September 15 & 16, respectively. Goes a long way to explaining the current chaos—much of it born of violence, not only in the U.S. but around the world.We explore these details, along with a look at Charlie Kirk's untimed birth chart to determine how Mars was conjoining his natal Libra Sun/Jupiter conjunction as Eris & Chiron opposed them. And then there's the fact that the upcoming 29'05” Virgo New Moon solar eclipse—activated circa January 23 when the transiting nodal axis hit that degree--falls on his 28'23” Venus in Virgo on September 21. Part of the theme of this fall's eclipse series is linked to concerns about the health of someone young—as per traditional astrologer Bernadette Brady in her book “Predictive Astrology, The Eagle And The Lark.” I think we can all now see the veracity of this given that Charlie Kirk was only 31 years-old at the time of his murder on September 10.And let's not forget that on September 11 the Brazilian Supreme Court convicted former President Jair Bolsonaro of overseeing a failed conspiracy to overturn the 2022 Brazilian election in a coup plot that included disbanding courts, empowering the military and plotting to assassinate the then president-elect. SUN/MERCURY SUPERIOR CONJUNCTION: THERE'S STILL HOPE TO DEVELOP A BETTER FUTURE PLANWhen the Sun conjoins Mercury in Virgo for their superior conjunction on September 13, between now & Mercury's next retrograde station on November 9 is a time “when a completion of action stage dominates,” according to Jungian astrologer Erin Sullivan. “The maturity of projects, ideas, & actions has arrived & the…direct phase is an opportune time to recap the full rewards available,” she explains in her book “Retrograde Planets, Traversing the Inner Landscape.” “Though still a forward moving time, it is a thoughtful time, too, one which requires more deliberation before initiation.” During this period “Mercury says there is still hope to develop a better plan than the one from the past.” Hopefully democrats will feel this energy & heed the message from Brazil that something similar may happen here in the U.S.—eventually…Meanwhile, this eclipse series is also associated with potential “important paperwork,” according to Brady. It should not surprise us then that the public has become privy this past week to never before seen documents related to sex trafficker & pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. And to his convicted co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell. And that these include not only the Epstein Foundation-released now infamous “birthday book,” but also a trove of 18,000 emails between Epstein & Maxwell (& others) made public between September 8 & 11.As we await the September 21 Virgo New Moon solar eclipse, which opposes Saturn retrograde in Pisces & Neptune retrograde in Aries, we first have the Mercury/Saturn opposition on September 17. And this month's eclipses—including tomorrow's September 7 Pisces Full Moon lunar eclipse which occurs at 15-degrees & 23-minutes of this empathic sign of collective energies at 11:09 a.m. PT & 2:09 p.m. ET—clearly illustrate this.It's been at least since February 21 when Attorney General Pam Bondi promised to release the Epstein “list.” Subsequent actions & reactions have taken place since, but the interest in bringing justice for the perpetrators of Jeffrey Epstein's sexual abuse of hundreds—if not thousands—of young girls & women—has been prominent in the news since.This month's set of eclipses—both the September 7 Pisces Full Moon lunar eclipse & the Virgo New Moon solar eclipse on September 21—carry the same themes. Eclipses generally belong to a set of two (sometimes three) which occur twice annually & are defined as a part of the longer-term Saros Series. Each series has its own interpretation.“This Saros Series appears to be concerned with the bringing to the surfaces of long-term worries about loved ones, health, or issues to do with paperwork or communication,” according to astrologer Bernadette Brady who's analyzed the meanings of Saros series eclipses in her book “Predictive Astrology, The Eagle And The Lark.”“This could manifest as a worrying piece of news about a loved one or responsibilities with paperwork coming home to roost. Any news will have a sense of destiny or fatedness about it,” she concludes.As those of us who pay attention know, “release the Epstein files!” has been a cry heard throughout the collective for months. However, it's as the themes of this eclipse series began to manifest that these cries have grown louder, to the point where survivors of Epstein & Maxwell's abuse whose health has suffered from it, have now decided to make themselves known the world.The survivors of Jeffrey Epstein & his convicted accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell took to the steps of the U.S. Capitol on September 3--only days before the September 7 lunar eclipse--it was to implore Congress to pass the "Epstein Files Transparency Act." Doing so would “force the release of all unclassified records related to the disgraced financier held by President Donald Trump's administration,” according to Reuters. "This is about ending secrecy wherever abuse of power takes root," said Anouska De Georgiou, a former model and actress who was one of about ten self-described Epstein victims who spoke about her experience at a press conference outside the U.S. Capitol." Newsweek ran this story after reporting on what was said during this Epstein survivors' press conference on September 3, starting with this headline: “'We know the names'…Victims threaten to compile own list of abusers” The article continues: “ Jeffrey Epstein survivor Lisa Phillips said that she and fellow victims planned to compile their own list of abusers from within the disgraced financier's friends and associates, after the Trump administration denied the existence of an Epstein "client list." "We know the names. As we're doing this, more numbers—statistics & data—are emerging making us more consciously aware of using our ability to discern what's fact & what's fiction.As always, this podcast looks back before moving forward to better see clearly in hindsight what energies have triggered what might come next. So, as we waxed toward the Sun/Uranus square August 24, Venus entered Leo August 25--& then exact opposed Pluto in Aquarius August 26/27—we've experienced some shocks & surprises.One related to the plan to infiltrate of federal troops into Chicago, others related to firings of top officials at the Federal Reserve Bank, & the Centers for Disease Control (CDC)--& yet another violent school shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota.As we move toward a more “tell it like it is” phase of discernment as part of this Virgo New Moon monthly lunar cycle, we're experiencing also the intensity of emotions around such events. This podcast looks at the factual events that have occurred this past week, including the Venus/Pluto opposition's position in the U.S. Sibly natal chart & its relationship to capitalism as we're still undergoing the U.S. Pluto return's already triggered energies.This podcast discusses the intensity of the backlash by blue state's governor's against President Trump's current power grabs, as well as the VE/PL opposition's repercussions to limit the foundational freedom of governmental agencies & others.We also witnessed the firing by President Trump of the Federal Reserve board member, Lisa Cook, on a “non-proven” claim of mortgage fraud, thus endangering the independence of the U.S. federal bank which its had since its inception.Likewise for Trump's firing of the head of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) now under the control of vaccine denier Health & Human Secretary Robert F. Kennedy's control. More children will now contract & possibly die from Covid, which is currently rising now as we approach the fall, as the CDC, now filled with kooks & non-medically trained sycophants. Measles diagnoses, once thought under control in the U.S., has also been rising slowly but steadily in the recent past too.All of this as we approach the upcoming wounded healer Chiron's conjunction to Eris, the goddess of discord, chaos, & strife by October 9. That these two, both now retrograde in Aries, will conjoin again next year, does not bode well for calm & continuity in the short term as we finish out this year & begin the next one.  Then there's the horrible mass school shooting in Minneapolis, MN, after the Venus/Pluto opposition perfected on August 27 that sparked yet again the call for “thoughts & prayers” for the two children shot to death & the 17 others wounded in the church of the Annunciation Catholic school there. Reality bites, as they say, & when Uranus sextiled Neptune August 28, we received the opportunity to grow in consciousness, assuming we recognized the facts that led to any revelations born out of reliable Virgoan statistics & data. The question becomes: Are people waking up to not only the creeping authoritarianism in this country AND that it's time to FINALLY legislate effective gun control. This sextile notes that the universe can lead us to the waters of consciousness, but it cannot make us drink. Meanwhile, the first quarter monthly lunar square of the Sagittarius Moon to the Virgo Sun August 30/31 reveals the tension between Sadge Moon's urging expansion of our critical thinking skills to “call a spade a spade versus the quest of the Virgo Sun for “perfection.” The latter represents “telling it like it is,” while the former is wishful “pie in the sky.”When Saturn retrograde reenters Pisces September 1, we've the opportunity to review what truly makes us feel secure & to ask ourselves whether we find security only in our material world. Or whether, deep down in our soul, we have the security of knowing that—no matter what happens we can always take care of ourselves & survive.Mercury then enters discerning Virgo on September 2 (until October 6) & promptly squares Uranus in Gemini September 3. Are more sudden announcements coming—perhaps ones that precede or precipitate more communication around movements of federal military troops into our cities. And will that that spark an even more intensely explosive reaction than those from Governor's Pritzger & Newsom of IL & CA, respectively, to date, as Mars in Libra exact squares Jupiter in Cancer on September 4?Keep an eye on the fact that Mars in Libra first squares Jupiter in Cancer exact @ 18'35” on September 4, but then begins to wax into an opposition to Eris at & then Chiron. That happens on September 15 when Mars in Libra opposes Eris at 25'28” Aries, & then Chiron @26'12 Libra to Aries on September 16.That we are in for a longer period of chaos & discord—both born of our previous wounds & potentially causing future wounding—seems clear since the exact Chiron/Eris conjunction in Aries won't occur until October 9.
