Venus enters Aries on 31 May, and Mars moves from Cancer into Leo on 6 June, joining Ketu. These transits begin to heat things up, potentially triggering political and/or economic upheaval due to some sort of attack or natural disaster.Saturn and Neptune move closer together, indicating further destabilisation, perhaps because of a major attack and conflict indicated by Mars and Ketu. There's likely some sense of disappointment and sadness that sweeps through the world. Whatever happens, the knock-on effect may lead to some necessary changes.The Mars-Ketu meeting in fiery Leo may result in a major attack on a world leader, for example. But it may also show a leader themselves starting an attack. Expect increased risks of water-related disasters, revolutions, terrorism, and cyber warfare. Rising summer temperatures could intensify both climatic events and violent incidents around the world.While this brings disruptions to the world beginning in June, because Mars moves into an opposition to Saturn and Neptune in August, the intensity doesn't let up for some time. In episode 488 astrologers Chris Brennan and Austin Coppock look at the astrological forecast for May of 2025! May opens with the tense Mars-Pluto opposition separating but still in close alignment, and this gets reactivated when Pluto stations in Aquarius and the Moon swings in and acts as a trigger at various points. Venus returns to Aries where it retraces its steps and begins the process of fully winding down its long retrograde period, and Mars is similarly finishing up its broader retrograde cycle as it makes its way through Leo. The most important transits this month is that Saturn moves into the sign of Aries on May 24, and this marks the beginning of a three year transit through this sign, where it will meet up with Neptune this summer and early next year. The month ends with an auspicious stellium of planets all meeting up in Gemini, which provides us with one of the best electional charts of the year. You may feel a readiness to move forward now, especially on relational themes that were on your heart in February and March (since Venus was already in Aries in Feb 5 – March 27 as a part of its retrograde process).- Venus conjunct Neptune in Aries: Both Saturn and Neptune have been an integral part of this Venus Retrograde this March – April. The conjunction becoming exact this week symbolizes a further re-enchantment of your capacity for love, union, and enjoyment. There's potential for full immersion into relational or creative things . . . as well as possibilities for enmeshment, blurring of boundaries, or illusions to arise. Neptune often helps us see our idealizations first by experiencing them unconsciously (i.e. being “in it” first). Over time we get to see people and situations as they are (rather than how we want them to be). There's beauty in the ideal as well as the reality when we hold it softly.- First Quarter Moon in Leo on Sun 5/4 at 6:52am PT: This point in the lunar cycle marks a crossroads for decisions. You may feel drawn to focus or reorient your energy toward what is most pressing right now. This First Quarter Moon in Leo emphasizes your relationship to giving and receiving affection, attention, and your magnetic pull on others. It provides opportunities to embody your inner spark. This First Quarter Moon also punctuates the dissipating Sun-Mars-Pluto t-square, so there may be additional insights or clarity around your autonomy, power, and control.- Pluto Stations Retrograde: This is a subtle component of the astrology this week. Pluto (along with the other outer planets) is retrograde about half the year. It's retrograde means that over the summer and fall, Pluto will slowly and slightly shift back a few degrees in the zodiac to about 0 degrees Aquarius.
