Welcome to Traders Point church of Christ! Each week we explore what the Bible has to say about different topics and passages of scripture through sermons and Bible studies. Our goal is to grow closer to God through a better understanding of His word!
Traders Point Church of Christ

The last three of these seven letters, found in Revelation 3, are written to churches that are all in very different places. Sardis might have looked the part from an outsider's perspective but it's reality was very different, Philadelphia may not have been the most impressive looking church but was persevering in an admirable way, and Laodicea was a church that needed to rediscover its passion and zeal!

Amidst the turmoil and destruction of Jerusalem at the hand of the Babylonians, was God's desire still to save His people? John Morgan thinks so, and he talks about how that's still God's desire for us today. This and two other points we can learn from Israel's Babylonian Captivity on our latest episode!Part five of our monthly series, Preaching Through the Bible. Watch now!

The next two letters, both found in Revelation 2, speak to churches that are both being influenced by false teaching. And both instances encourage us to look back to two Old Testament figures...Balaam and Jezebel.Â

This week we dive into the first two of the 7 letters recorded for us in Revelation 2-3. Ephesus is a church we know a lot about from Paul's journeys and the letter bearing their name. Smyrna, however, is not as well known. Both churches have some good things going for them and both are facing some challenging circumstances. Sound familiar?

Jeremy's got back-to-back lessons on this series! This time, what can we learn from the largest of the books of Poetry--Psalms.What title does Psalms have in Hebrew? What are three takeaways can we have from this book of praise? Give a listen to find out some important reminders!

In Nehemiah chapter 1, after receiving news that the people back in Jerusalem aren't doing well, Nehemiah prays. He confesses sin, showcases repentance and asks God for mercy. It is a wonderful prayer with lots to learn.

You simply can't do a study on Old Testament prayers without spending some time with Hezekiah. Not only was he was an important king in the nation of Judah but he left behind two great examples of what it means to seek God's guidance and blessings first.

Sunday morning Sermon, 4/12/26

In this episode we look at two prayers by Hannah; the first in 1 Samuel 1 and the second in 1 Samuel 2. Both of these prayers give us insight into the faith of Hannah and provide us some strong application that we need to consider making to our prayer lives today.

Jeremy is inadvertently continuing a "series" on wisdom. Listen in as we dive deep into James 3:13-18!

John reminds us that because Christ was raised, we will be too (1 Cor. 15:23), and some other reminders that come when we think about the Resurrection!

Jeremy continues the series of Preaching through the Bible, pulling out applications we can make by looking at King David's family.

On a Wednesday night special service, John and then Jeremy take some time to dive deep into what we can learn from two hymns!March 25, 2026

"Moses, Moses"; "Samuel, Samuel"; "Martha, Martha"--Jeremey recounts these and other double names in the Scriptures. What can we learn from them? Listen to the latest episode from Traders Point church of Christ to find out!Sunday PM, March 1, 2026
