The nuclear family is the backbone of a strong society—without it, we will crumble. In this episode, we're talking about Elon Musk's latest love child with Ashley St. Clair and why Conservatives cannot fall into the trap of normalizing single motherhood and reckless men who create broken families. Strong individuals come from strong families. When the family unit collapses, people become weak, directionless, and ultimately easier for the government to exploit. The more broken the home, the more dependent the individual. And guess who loves that? The people in power who want control over your life. So, we are talking biblical gender roles, marriage, family, and why morals will always matter—even if they stop mattering to everyone else. A father's leadership and a mother's nurturing aren't interchangeable, and no amount of modern delusion will change that. Children need both a mother and a father in the home. And no, morals don't change for you once you're rich. Wh*re culture needs to die because the next generation is at stake.--https://policecoffee.com/?srsltid=AfmBOooc599VmOCGa3oE2DnVcJ4uLA69XDoBZf8ChiOpFqVfKc_BASiR

This week's focus is the second item listed on the card, “obedient children.” This description will strike many as weird or “cringy,” but why? What is it doing on this list, and what does it tell us about this church's views on gender, the family, and its vision of proper social order? And how does it relate to the focus of the previous episode, “Smiling Wives”? Check out this week's episode to find out. Church bulletin photo HERE. 1 Peter 1:13-25 ESV Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one's deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile, knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God; for “All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever.” And this word is the good news that was preached to you.
As we continue studying through our theme for the first trimester of "God and Family First", we spent time Sunday on the topic of raising godly, obedient children who honor their father and mother. This conversation is a recap of the discussions we had in our group Sunday evening. The questions we discussed are below for reference. 1. What is the long-term impact – in the church, in our homes, in our communities – of framing, or reframing, godliness, honor and obedience as the norm for our children as they grow up? (Ephesians 6:1-3, Judges 2:8-12)2. As parents, how can we best deal with the immense pressure to cultivate faith within our children as they grow? And, how can we (the church) support one another in those efforts? 3. What does Godly discipline within a home that helps lead a child to honor and obey their parents look like? What does it not look like? (Josh 4:19-24, Prov 29:15, Prov 13:24)4. Titus 2:4 says “…that they (the older women) admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children…”. Doesn't loving our children just come naturally? Why, and in what ways, does it need to be taught from one generation to the next?

Ephesians 6:1-4 teaches children to obey and honor their parents, while fathers are urged to fulfill their responsibility of disciplining and instructing their children in the Lord.
- 1 Pet 1:13-14 ESV 13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, AS OBEDIENT CHILDREN Our position in Christ is eternally secured. Still, even for those of us who believe, it is difficult for us to keep our hope set on that day, is it not? We are told to make a deliberate choice to set our hope. Instead of setting our hope on things that cannot truly satisfy, such as money, pleasure, or prestige, we should obey this command. That, we should not be conformed to the passion of our former lives. We have still problems with our flesh, haven't we? So Peter writes that we should stay alert, "preparing our minds for action and sober." We must take control of where our thoughts go, and what our minds dwell on. Otherwise, we would be easily distracted by false hopes. Previously, we lived in ignorance of what was real and what mattered. Hence, we followed our own desires instead of God's. These desires were evil wanting gratification and relief at any cost. These past sinful desires need not control us. Peter referred to us as His ‘obedient children' and we should be. This means more than what we do but who we are by His grace. We are created anew to obey our Father, are we not? We must stop conforming to the passions we followed "before." That's not us anymore but newly set apart people for God. ------------------------- Visit and FOLLOW Gospel Light Filipino on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram

In this episode I discuss one of the things I'm most thankful for on this Memorial Day. And I also share some shocking stories about kids that I've heard about or seen for myself. Hope you guys enjoy and have a blessed week.
Join us with Pastors Joel and Cheryl Splawn as they continues the series on the Power of the Tongue in Part VI - Obedient Parents Yield Obedient Children
We all want healthy kids, and kids want clear boundaries. We want our kids to flourish. We want them to thrive in this world. And our kids want to know they are safe, loved, and led—even when they aren't acting as if they do. How we relate to them and how they relate to us is integral to that flourishing. Thankfully, parents, we are not the first people trying to figure out how best to have a healthy relational dynamic with our children. And thankfully, kids, you are not the first kids who had to think about how to respond to their parents' love and leadership. Here in Paul's letter to the first church in the ancient city of Ephesus, we see the most important aspect of this relationship outlined for us: Obedient Children flourish under the discipleship of Godly parents. This idea is central to having healthy kids, who respond well to our (parents') love and leadership.Relationship: Messy and Marvelous | Kids & Parents | Ephesians 6:1-4
