Retired police Sgt. John Mattingly sits down to share the unfiltered truth about his decades in law enforcement. From working narcotics and violent crimes to running postage interdiction, Mattingly has seen it all — and some of those cases still haunt him to this day. In this powerful interview, he opens up about his early years as a police officer, the dangers of working narcotics cases, and the emotional weight of investigating violent crimes. He also talks about the unique world of postage interdiction and the major arrests it led to. But the case that changed everything was the Breonna Taylor raid, where Mattingly was shot and nearly killed. He discusses how that night ended his career, how the media shaped the public narrative, and what he says really happened during the raid. This is a raw, honest conversation about the realities of police work, the trauma that comes with it, the impact of media coverage, and what life is like after walking away from the badge. #JohnMattingly #BreonnaTaylorCase #LawEnforcementStories #PoliceInterview #TrueCrimePodcast #MediaTruth #NarcoticsUnit #LockedInPodcast Thank you to BLUECHEW for sponsoring this episode: Visit https://bluechew.com/ and use promo code LOCKEDIN at checkout to get your first month of BlueChew FREE & pay five bucks for shipping. [This week, I was given another opportunity to collaborate with my brothers from "Nephilim Death Squad," TopLobsta, and David L Corbo (AKA The Raven). Join us as we descend into darkness if only to shine a light on the sinister machinations of this permanent establishment, seemingly insulated from accountability, relentlessly pursuing the deliberate degredation of society at large.]Are modern “Manchurian Candidates” real? Today we sit down with researcher Austin Picard to dissect MKULTRA, Project Monarch, Operation Gladio, and the media machinery that grooms patsies, manufactures outrage, and accelerates the culture war. We trace how trauma, pharma, and frequencies intersect; why “programmed to patsy” often beats “programmed to kill”; and how the Artichoke documents, LIBOR parent connections, and high-impact events fit the pattern. We also unpack the online dox-and-destroy economy, why reaction is the real payload, and how to build psychological armor against next-gen psyops. If you're into deep dives on mind control, false flags, media ritual, and the tech that turns citizens into signals, this one's stacked. In this moving episode of Domestic Dad: Cleaning Up the Mess, Nick sits down with evangelist David Ursin to unpack a life shaped by faith, tested by trials, and transformed by grace.   David grew up in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the son of a Methodist pastor, learning early what it meant to be a “PK.” Yet despite being surrounded by church, he admits he lived in a lukewarm faith—outwardly devoted, but inwardly unsure what true surrender looked like. That all changed at 19, when a simple trip to Memphis opened his eyes to believers on fire for Jesus. In that airport, he made the decision to give God everything—and he never looked back.   David shares how fasting, Bible college, and unexpected mentorship under evangelism legends Reinhard Bonnke and Daniel Kolenda propelled him into global ministry. From learning the foundations of scripture to organizing gospel crusades for tens of thousands in Pakistan and India, David opens up about the miracles, the challenges, and the very real risks that come with preaching in hostile environments—including persecution, terrorist threats, and even moments of radical conversion among those once opposed to the gospel.   But this isn't just a story of global missions—it's also one of family. David reflects on meeting his wife Natalia, a widowed mother of two whose husband was tragically murdered. He shares how her radical act of forgiveness just one week after the killing became one of the clearest pictures of Christ he has ever seen. Together, David and Natalia built a family rooted in redemption: he legally adopted her twins earlier this year, giving them his name as their father, and they recently welcomed their first biological daughter, Evangelina, whose birth carries a powerful tie to Romans 1:16.   Throughout the conversation, David and Nick dive deep into themes of faith, forgiveness, and fatherhood. They talk about the challenges of blended families, the responsibility of spiritual leadership in the home, and why spending daily time with Jesus is the only way to lead with strength.   This episode is both inspiring and practical—a reminder that faith isn't passive, it's a verb. Whether you're wrestling with forgiveness, searching for direction, or simply navigating the everyday chaos of parenting, David's story will encourage you to trust God with everything. 00:00 Introduction and Guest Welcome 00:59 David's Early Life and Upbringing 01:56 Struggles with Faith and Youth Group Experiences 04:13 Turning Point: Encounter in Memphis 11:48 Bible College Journey 19:21 Evangelism Training and Mentorship 26:23 Organizing Mass Gospel Events 37:06 Personal Life and Meeting His Wife 41:03 Introduction to Natalia's Story 41:48 The Power of Forgiveness 42:23 A Tragic Murder and Its Aftermath 43:27 Reflections on Forgiveness and Faith 51:02 Challenges of Blended Families 57:59 Adoption and Legal Parenthood 01:00:47 Becoming a Biological Father 01:06:30 Faith and Parenting 01:16:42 Final Thoughts and Advice   YouTube: www.youtube.com/@DomesticDadProject   Website: www.domesticdadproject.com    Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DOMESTICDADPROJECT   Insta: https://www.instagram.com/the_domestic_dad_project   Making Jesus Known Website: www.makingjesusknown.org   David on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/evangelistdavidursin/   Donate to Making Jesus Known: https://pushpay.com/g/makingjesusknown?src=hpp

Art of Investing

Our teacher today is Steve Mandel, founder of Lone Pine Capital, one of the defining investment firms of our time. For starters, Steve is, without question, among the most important leaders in the investment management industry. Consider that Seth Klarman once called him, “the best industry analyst I've ever met, who became the best long short hedge fund manager of his generation.” In our opinion, the magic of Lone Pine resides in the principles that form its foundation and the people that animate its culture. But to understand the organization, you really need to first understand its master builder, a man of unusual integrity whose reputation across every dimension of his life and at every chapter of his life is so consistent and compelling when it comes to investing. Steve has an infectious Buffett-like love for the craft, and he's someone who seems more rooted in an orientation of service than any investor we've ever met. And one of the great paradoxes of this story is that from day one, Steve deliberately architected Lone Pine so that it would always be about more than just him. Beyond Lone Pine, we also discuss the value of having heroes and mentors, how relationships can enrich an education and a career, the art of doing great research, and what is important when investing in periods of accelerated change. John Gardner once said, “There are men and women who make the world better just by being the kind of people they are.” It's truly an honor to bring this conversation to you with one of those kinds of people. Please enjoy class with the one and only Steve Mandel. Julie takes listeners on a journey from her upbringing in rural Alaska—surrounded by wild forests and medicinal plants—to her global studies in botanical medicine, and ultimately to the creation of a skincare line that celebrates the intelligence of plants.Long before “clean beauty” became a buzzword, Julie envisioned formulations that go beyond the usual staples. Leaf People integrates powerful botanicals like reishi, rhodiola, ginkgo, burdock root, and horsetail, capturing the full spectrum of each plant's chemical and energetic properties. Her approach is holistic, emphasizing whole-plant synergy and honoring the subtle energetics of each ingredient through practices like meditation, Reiki, and blessings by Tibetan monks.Julie also shares her philosophy of ally pairing, inspired by how plants naturally grow together in communities, and how this principle shapes her formulations. In this episode of Gangland Wire, retired Kansas City Intelligence Unit detective Gary Jenkins dives deep into the life of James “Jimmy the Gent” Burke. Prompted by listener Paul Blackwood of Edinburgh, Gary explores Burke's world beyond the headlines of the Lufthansa heist. From his turbulent childhood in foster homes and orphanages to his rise as a feared and respected mobster in the Lucchese family, Burke's story is one of violence, loyalty, and paranoia. Gary traces Burke's early years of crime, his ties with Henry Hill and Paul Vario, and the meticulous planning of the Lufthansa heist that netted millions—and left a trail of blood in its aftermath. The episode also covers Burke's role in gambling and drug rackets, his eventual downfall in the Boston College point-shaving scandal, and his complicated legacy in mob history. Was Jimmy the Gent a loyal operator, or a ruthless killer who trusted no one? Tune in for a gripping exploration of one of organized crime's most enigmatic figures. So thank you, Paul. Hope you're listening to this.  I will try to remember to send you an email just before I release this one. However, Paul suggested that I do a story that focuses more specifically on Jimmy Burke, also known as Jimmy the Gent. And I looked around, and I agreed with Paul. Burke is mentioned on many podcasts because we all want to discuss the famous Lufthansa. I want to talk about Henry Hill, some of the other mob people in the Lucchese family, but it seems like I wasn't really finding a show that was just focused on Burke. So, James, Jimmy the Gent, Burke and where he came from and where he went. [0:43] Oh, and don't forget to hit me up on Venmo, buy me a cup of coffee once in a while, or maybe go donate on the podcast. I appreciate it. It helps pay the bills and keep me going. Now, Burke may be one of the most famous mob associates of all times, I would say. Oh, there's some in Chicago. They had a lot of associates in Chicago. But because of, of course, Henry Hill and Robert De Niro playing him, [1:07] why, he probably would be the most famous mob guy who is not a made man. If Henry Hill had not gone into witness protection, if Henry Hill had not done that book with Nicholas Pelleggi, Wise Guys, or if the famous filmmaker Martin Scorsese hadn't taken Wise Guys and Pellegi's book and got Pellegi to help write a script and titled it Goodfellas. And when Robert De Niro took the part of Jimmy the Gent, his place in history was assured, I'll tell you that, especially in mob history. In my humble opinion, this book and film were arguably the best depictions of day-to-day mob life ever that I've ever seen. I thought it was amazing. He did a heck of a job at the casino. [1:55] And to see the egos of these guys, once they turn, are just amazing. When Lefty Rosenthal heard Robert De Niro was going to play him, he told Pelleggio, oh yeah, I'll work with you, I'll work on this. And I'm not sure what brought Henry Hill around,

Have you ever wondered how one writer could change French literature and politics at the same time? That's the story we tell in Émile Zola: The Life, Legacy, and Scandal of France's Most Influential Writer. In this episode of the Join Us in France Travel Podcast, host Annie Sargent sits down with Elyse Rivin to explore the extraordinary life of Émile Zola. Zola was not just a novelist. He was a social critic, a scandal-maker, and a public voice for justice. His Rougon-Macquart series, including the famous novel Germinal, revealed the lives of miners, shopkeepers, and workers in 19th-century France. His friendship with Paul Cézanne shaped his early years. His relationship with Jeanne Rozerot brought private scandal. And his article J'Accuse made him a hero during the Dreyfus Affair, even though it forced him into exile in England. Annie and Elyse take you through the highlights of an Émile Zola biography in plain language. You'll learn about his role in shaping the Naturalist movement, his courage to stand up against injustice, and why he rests today in the Panthéon in Paris alongside France's greatest figures. This episode isn't just about books. It's about history, politics, scandal, and courage. It's about how one man's words still echo in France today. If you're curious about French literature, Paris history, or the Dreyfus Affair, this episode is for you. You'll walk away with stories you can share and a deeper understanding of France's cultural heritage.
