While there were some audio issues in the earlier episodes, host Ed has adapted to new methods over time, retaining the charm and personable feel of the initial content. The host and assistants working on Unfound have clearly invested a lot of effort in its success, and their dedication shines through.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the Update episodes. These episodes bring each case back into focus briefly to discuss any changes in circumstances, keeping listeners informed about ongoing investigations. The research done for each episode is excellent and very detailed. Listeners get to know each character involved in the cases as people, with both their flaws and positive points highlighted.
The effort put into these cases is commendable, as many of them wouldn't receive the attention they need without this podcast. The host's ability to ask tough questions while showing compassion and respect is truly impressive. Unfound provides a voice for families of missing people, bringing attention to their cases and helping keep hope alive.
While there are some negative aspects to consider, such as occasional interruptions or perceived insensitivity from the host, these can be overlooked by focusing on the interesting and informative content of the podcast. The host's unique perspective and ability to ask thought-provoking questions make for an engaging listening experience.
However, it's worth noting that there are occasional audio issues during interviews. Improving audio quality would greatly enhance the overall listening experience. Other podcasts have been able to address this issue successfully on phone interviews, so it would be beneficial for Unfound to look into improving their audio quality as well.
In conclusion, The Unfound podcast stands out in the true crime genre with its unique format of interviewing family members and treating subject matter respectfully. It adds something valuable to the true crime podcasting world by providing a platform for families to bring attention to missing person cases. Despite some areas for improvement, this podcast is highly recommended for those interested in true crime and the human stories behind the cases.
