Steven Koecher's disappearance on December 13, 2009, remains one of the most perplexing unsolved mysteries. A devout member of the LDS Church, Koecher was struggling financially and working a modest job when he inexplicably drove to Henderson, Nevada, and was last seen on security footage calmly walking away from his parked car in a suburban neighborhood. Despite extensive searches, no trace of him has ever been found. His abandoned vehicle contained personal belongings, but no signs of foul play. Multiple theories, ranging from foul play to mental health crises or voluntary disappearance, have been proposed, but none offer definitive answers. Over a decade later, his family continues to search for closure, while investigators remain baffled by the total lack of evidence, leaving Koecher's vanishing an enduring mystery.Crystal Rogers has now been missing for 7 years and even though the authorities have a suspect, no arrests have been made and no closure has been provided to the family. In this episode, we hear the story about how she went missing and the toll it has taken on her family in the aftermath.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/the-mysterious-2015-disappearance-of-crystal-rogers/ar-AA10WqJ7?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=fade2379f9c840ef9e75f6e8e72f3f10

We've received more questions in the first half of this season than in any other season prior. So, I decided to sit down with Charlie Worroll (Crimelines) and Bob Motta (Defense Diaries) to answer questions, discuss the investigation, get legal perspective from Bob, and case perspective from Charlie. We discuss new info in the Steven Koecher case, a new theory about all of Keyes's hits on Susan Powell media, an update on Burger King Guy, Somewhere in the Pines, the FOIA process and working with law enforcement, comparisons between Keyes and John Wayne Gacy, attorney-client privilege, and more.Featuring: Charlie Worroll from CrimelinesBob Motta from Defense DiariesSponsored by:Magic Mind: Get 48% off your first subscription or 20% off one time purchases with codeTRUECRIMEBULLSH20 at checkout at www.magicmind.com/truecrimebullshBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/true-crime-bullsh--3588169/support.

Steven Koecher disappeared near Las Vegas, Nevada, in December 2009. Steven's 2003 Chevy Cavalier was found parked on a cul-de-sac in a planned development called Sun City. December 13, 2009. Henderson, Nevada. A security camera captures 30-year old Steven Koecher arriving in a residential neighbourhood, where he parks his car and is seen walking down the sidewalk before he vanishes without a trace. Earlier that day, Steven had made a 135-mile trip to Henderson from his residence in St. George, Utah, but never told anyone why, and in the days prior to his disappearance, Steven also made multiple unexplained road trips through Utah and Nevada. Since Steven was struggling financially, it is theorized that he might have travelled to Henderson in order to seek employment or make a delivery to earn some money, but there is no conclusive evidence of what happened to him. Did Steven Koecher disappear voluntarily or end his own life somewhere or did he become the victim of foul play? On this week's episode of “The Trail Went Cold”, we explore of the most perplexing missing persons case of the modern era. The disappearance of Steven Koecher is a very interesting one, most people leave some sort of trail, or evidence behind that something happened, but besides a vehicle that looked like he intended to come back to it, and some cell phone tower pings, we have nothing that points to where Steven disappeared to. He drove himself to Nevada, parked and left his car alone, and hasn't seen sense.

We kick things off with a "stabby book" update from O'Dell (he is enjoying "Home Before Dark" by Riley Sager). Erin feels we need a stabby book club. Maybe? Our virtual true crime road trip continues, and O'Dell kicks off this episode with the story of the disappearance of Steven Koecher, a devout Mormon man whose abandoned car was found in a retirement community in Henderson, NV in 2009. Eleven years later, Steven is still missing. There are many theories, but very few answers.Erin is in Virginia and tells the story of transgender woman, Sage Smith who went missing after leaving for a date in 2012. She said goodbye to her roommate, and was spotted by her step sister the night of the date, but no one has seen her since. Two of the suspects are also missing. The case was reclassified as a possible homicide in 2020, but there are still no answers as to what actually happened. To close things out, Erin gives an update on 14-year-old Aiden Fucci who has been accused of stabbing 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey 114 times. O'Dell then provides an in memoriam about two 21-year-olds who died after falling from the roof of an office building while having "relations".Chapters:00:00 - Intro00:42 - Stabby books: Home Before Dark04:22 - O'Dell's Story: The Disappearance of Steven Koecher37:46 - Erin's Story: What Happened to Sage Smith?01:04:46 - Update: SPL #5 - The Stabbing of Tristyn Bailey01:06:48 - In Memoriam: I Tumble For YaSend us a tip: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/LEPodcastsSupport us by becoming a member: https://someoneprobablydied.com/index.php/become-a-member/Check out our website at https://sixdegreesofwtf.com for more information on this week's episode, including links to resources and videos mentioned during the show.If you have a creepy story or unsolved mystery that you'd like to share with us, send us a message to killerstory@sixdegreesofwtf.comCheck out our social media: https://beacons.page/sixdegreesofwtf
