We kicked off Advent by exploring hope in three dimensions: today, tomorrow, and eternity. Hope isn't just wishful thinking like a Browns fan before kickoff. Biblical hope is the eager anticipation of kids stacked in the hallway on Christmas morning, knowing something good is coming even if we don't know exactly what.We dove into Jeremiah 29:11, that verse on every graduation mug, but we looked at the full context. God told the exiles in Babylon to build houses, plant gardens, and seek the prosperity of their new city because they weren't going home for seventy years. The promise wasn't escape but permission to thrive while waiting. God was planning good things even in exile.Then we met Simeon in Luke 2, who waited his entire life to see the Messiah. After 600 years of Israel's waiting and however many decades of his own, Simeon recognized Jesus when others couldn't because he held onto God's promises despite his circumstances. We need to do the same, especially when depression, anxiety, or addiction makes us feel hopeless. Combat those lies with the 7,400 promises of God in scripture.Finally, we looked at Job's restoration. God doubled everything Job lost, including his children, because the seven who died weren't gone forever. Job had fourteen kids when you count eternity. Death has lost its sting through the resurrection.As we enter Advent, we celebrate what has been and what is to come. What a power-packed and refreshing time in God's presence! Today, Pastor Femi Paul took us deeper into the revelation of “Ushered into the Good Life!” A divine reminder that the Good Life is not a fantasy, but a covenant reality for every believer who walks by faith and divine direction. Psalm 21:4-6 (MSG) reminded us that God doesn't just give life; He gives a good and long life, overflowing with blessings and joy. Quoting T.L. Osborn, Pastor explained that The Good Life is a spiritually, emotionally, and physically fulfilling life that flows from trusting in God's promises. It's the shift from: ➡️ A struggler's life to a stable life ➡️ A borrower's life to a blessed life ➡️ A hustler's life to a life of divine ease ➡️ A miserly life to one of abundance and generosity We learnt that to be ushered means to be escorted into divine purpose, guided gently and gloriously by the hand of God — just as Psalm 73:23-24 and Psalm 32:8 declare: “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advise you and watch over you.” As we walk with God, He ushers us into our Desired Haven, a place of peace, progress, and prosperity (Psalm 107:30). Truly, the Good Life has begun, and we've been ushered in!

The 2026 general election may be more than a year away, but the U.S. Senate race in Nebraska is already heating up. Dan Osborn, the industrial mechanic and independent candidate who made national waves for his closer-than-expected race with Sen. Deb Fischer in 2024, is back on the campaign trail – this time against another Republican incumbent, Sen. Pete Ricketts. Osborn may have lost to Fischer by more than 6 percentage points, but in a state that hasn't elected a non-Republican to the Senate since 2006, the close margin elevated his profile and motivated supporters heading into the next election cycle. “It just started with an idea, and we turned it into getting 47% of the vote in Nebraska,” he said Monday of his 2024 campaign, interrupted by cheering and applause from the crowd.
