Husker Doc Talk
2022 Episode 28: Can A Week Off Fix The Problems?

Husker Doc Talk

Play Episode Listen Later Sep 25, 2022 71:45

The Nebraska fan base seemed to be a lot less stressed this past week.  Maybe the week off was as much needed for the fan base as it was for the players?  In this week's Doc Talk Podcast presented by BetFred Sportsbook, Dr. Rob Zatechka and Travis Justice discuss if a week off can fix all the problems the Nebraska football team faces. Up next for Nebraska is Indiana. The Hoosiers are coming off their first season loss, falling to Cincinnati. Indiana didn't do itself any favors by turning the ball over three times and allowing the Bearcats to score 14-points in a time span of 10-seconds. All part of a 28-point 2nd quarter for Cincinnati.  The rumor mill was running a full speed during the off week. Many stories, podcasts, and videos discuss who would be the ideal candidate for the Nebraska job. Dr. Rob and Travis don't have a strong opinion one way or another as they both agree it's a crap shoot on whether or not one coach succeeds and one doesn't. Many people are watching Dave Aranda at Baylor, Matt Campbell at Iowa State, Lance Liepold at Kansas, Chris Klieman at Kansas State, and Troy Calhoun at Air Force. There are a lot of reasons to take the Nebraska job if you are one of these coaches. However, with other jobs opening up, one big reason NOT to move to Lincoln could be living up to expectations. Sure, most coaches want a challenge, but Nebraska has had three head coaches in the last ten years, and many could argue that the expectations of success or the time given to get there are unrealistic.  Betfred Sports presents the Doc Talk Podcast. A great way to use up very small scraps because I only ever seam 3 sides together.  Working my way from the dark side to the light side when I pulled some hexis out of the bag where I was storing them- and pulled out a huge piece which I had forgotten I'd seamed together. It was the far right column and part of the top row of the light side! At least I realized it when I did, and only had to rip back a small bit of what I had already done.  I used safety pins and paper with notes to indicate which hexi was the start/end of each column. I started taking a week off every month for CEO time. This has changed the game for me, my family and my business. I used to take a day off. Then two days off - but let's be real, it wasn't really 'time off'. It didn't really get me AHEAD. It was like partial time off and partial work. I'm so excited to share my findings of this new decision, why I am recruiting my clients to get onboard with doing this in their businesses and all the things... Let's dive in!

Even with that love in our hearts, it's tempting to yearn for a room of one's own with a solid, soundproof door. We asked our listeners what they would do with one entire week off, and for many of them it involved a lot of TV, snacks, and, in some cases, the cast of Queer Eye. In this episode.
