On May 4th, 1945, something impossible happened on an Austrian mountainside. Americans, Germans, and even an SS captain joined forces in what military historians call the strangest battle of World War II. But this wasn't about politics or ideology—it was about honor, survival, and an alliance forged in the final desperate hours of a dying war. The Battle of Castle Itter is a story so extraordinary that most people have never heard of it, yet it proves that even in humanity's darkest hour, unexpected heroes can emerge. Captain Lee and his small band of American soldiers infiltrated deep into hostile Austrian territory on May 4th and 5th, 1945, discovering something the Nazis had kept hidden: French VIP prisoners held at Castle Itter. These weren't ordinary captives—they included top-ranking French officers and dignitaries of immense strategic value. But when fanatical SS Waffen units launched a desperate attack to prevent their rescue, something remarkable unfolded. With German defenders and American soldiers fighting side by side, and with an extraordinary German ally—Major Ysef Gangel—providing crucial intelligence and firepower, an impossible defense was mounted. Despite waves of fanatical SS assaults and heavy artillery barrage, Captain Lee's men held the line. Austrians waving white flags offered wine and flowers as they passed through villages, symbolizing a region ready to break free from Nazi tyranny. This incredible true story challenges everything we think we know about WWII's final days. It's a tale of soldiers choosing principle over propaganda, of enemies becoming allies in seconds, and of a moment when the fog of war cleared to reveal shared humanity. The Battle of Castle Itter remains one of history's most overlooked yet pivotal moments, and for the first time, we're telling the complete story with vivid detail and historical accuracy. Todd Curtis and John Goglia share their real time research into unapproved parts in aviation. They use the NASA Aviation Safety Reporting System (ASRS) database to do their research. See what they uncover as they investigate unapproved parts in aviation. They search reports from 1995 and later years to find instances of suspected unapproved or counterfeit parts. Most of the five cases they dive into are found to be paperwork issues rather than actual fraudulent parts. John adds some historical context, discussing how events like Eastern Airlines going out of business and the U.S. leaving behind a substantial amount of aviation assets after the Vietnam war led to many undocumented parts and helicopter engines entering the global aviation market. Learn about the history and issues surrounding unapproved parts in aviation maintenance from two aviation safety insiders. The Man who Fought For 3 DIFFERENT ARMIES in WWII, but did he exist? The Incredible Story of Yang Kyoungjong During World War II, there emerged a legend so improbable it reads like fiction: the story of a man who allegedly fought for three different armies across continents—and yet historians still can't confirm he ever lived. This is Yang Kyoungjong, and his tale challenges everything we think we know about WWII history. In this deep dive, we explore one of history's most controversial figures: a Korean soldier allegedly conscripted into the Japanese Imperial Army, captured by the Soviet Red Army, forced into the Nazi Wehrmacht, and finally captured by American forces on D-Day. It's a story of impossible coincidence, wartime chaos, and the power of historical mythology. But here's where it gets interesting: despite decades of claims and a famous photograph supposedly showing Yang among captured German POWs, historians remain deeply divided. Some respected authors like Antony Beevor cite his existence as fact—without providing sources. Meanwhile, historians like Martin K.A. Morgan argue Yang Kyoungjong is a person who "never existed because he certainly never left us any proof that he ever existed." A 2005 Korean documentary investigation concluded there was no convincing evidence of Yang's existence. The iconic photograph long attributed to him has never been verified, and the soldier's true identity remains a mystery. Some experts believe he may have been a Georgian, not Korean at all. So why does this story persist? Why do we believe in Yang Kyoungjong despite the lack of evidence? And what does his legend tell us about how history gets written, especially the histories of ordinary soldiers from marginalized nations? Join us as we separate fact from fiction, explore declassified documents, and uncover the truth behind one of WWII's most intriguing and elusive figures. Whether Yang existed or not, his story reveals something profound about the forgotten soldiers of World War II and how easily historical narratives can be created and spread. Perfect for history enthusiasts, WWII buffs, and anyone interested in how legends are born. Can artificial intelligence (AI) make aviation safer? In this episode, Todd Curtis and John Goglia explore ways that AI tools are being used to analyze safety data, identify trends, and improve communication across the aviation industry. Todd shares a project that uses the AI platform Claude along with reports from NASA's Aviation Safety Reporting System (ASRS) database to create a customized safety report modeled after the ASRS CALLBACK publication. The discussion highlights how AI can help aviation professionals uncover valuable insights from large volumes of safety data. Todd and John discuss how aviation professionals can get better results by understanding how to guide AI tools and evaluate their output. The conversation also explores how safety management system (SMS) managers can use AI to better understand organizational risks, identify emerging issues, and improve safety decision-making. Todd demonstrates how AI can transform written content into concise, media-ready sound bites and shares a downloadable resource that viewers can use to create their own custom audio clips. Whether you're an aviation professional, safety manager, mechanic, pilot, or simply interested in emerging technology, this episode offers practical examples of how AI may help shape the future of aviation safety. Also in this show, John calls out the disservice of incorrect information being shared by one commenter on the UPS crash in Louisville, Kentucky. A prominent aviation safety podcaster who is also an airline pilot repeatedly talks about the #2 engine being affected by foreign object digestion (FOD), a fact not directly supported by the NTSB preliminary report. What if a single battle could collapse an empire, reshape a continent, or alter the destiny of millions? Throughout history, certain military confrontations have transcended mere combat—they've become the hinge points upon which civilizations turn. In this episode of Echoes of War, we celebrate reaching over 100 episodes by diving deep into the battles that fundamentally rewrote human history. From the clash at Zama where Scipio defeated Hannibal and ended the Punic Wars, to the Battle of Hastings that brought Norman conquest to England, each confrontation shaped the trajectory of civilizations. We explore how Tsushima revolutionized naval warfare, how Lepanto challenged Ottoman dominance, the conquistador siege of Tenochtitlan that ended the Aztec Empire, and the brutal island-hopping campaign of Guadalcanal that turned the Pacific War. These weren't just military victories—they were pivotal moments that altered the course of human history. Join hosts Craig and Gareth as they bring historical analysis to life through genuine conversation and storytelling. Rather than dry recitations of facts, we explore the human drama, strategic brilliance, and consequences that made these battles transformative. The Battle of Zama shifted power in the ancient Mediterranean. The Norman Conquest at Hastings reset the course of English civilization. Tsushima showed the world that traditional naval power could be challenged. Lepanto demonstrated Christianity's capacity to unite against the Ottoman threat. The Fall of Tenochtitlan marked one of history's most consequential collapses—a civilization brought down by disease, diplomacy, and military innovation. And Guadalcanal proved that Pacific island warfare would define World War II strategy. Whether you're a history enthusiast, military strategy buff, or simply curious about how pivotal moments shape our world, this episode delivers the analysis and narrative depth you crave. We don't just tell you what happened—we help you understand why it matters. De esa claridad que duele muchísimo, pero que también puede ser el inicio de algo nuevo. What if Japan had stabbed the Soviet Union in the back while Germany tore through its western front? In the summer of 1941, that decision was agonizingly close — and it had a codename: Kantokuen. As Wehrmacht divisions thundered toward Moscow during Operation Barbarossa, Imperial Japan secretly mobilized over 700,000 troops in Manchuria, drawing up detailed invasion plans to strike Soviet Siberia from the east. The Kwantung Army was ready. The window was open. And yet — Japan hesitated. In this deep-dive episode of Echoes of War, Craig and Gareth unpack one of World War II's greatest "what ifs": why Japan ultimately chose not to execute Kantokuen, what the actual war plans looked like (including the ambitious Hachigo Plan A and Plan B), the fierce internal debate between Japan's army, navy, and imperial leadership, and what a two-front Soviet collapse might — or might not — have meant for the outcome of the war. This isn't armchair speculation. The logistics, force ratios, Soviet defensive posture, and the brutal realities of Manchurian geography are all on the table. With 22 maps and two historians who refuse to cut corners, this is the definitive treatment of Kantokuen. Whether you're a veteran of Pacific War history or discovering this forgotten chapter for the first time, this episode will change how you think about 1941. New York City eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft test flights and global commercialization efforts are making headlines. Special guest Mike Borfitz, CEO of Kilroy Aviation and a safety certification engineer with more than 40 years of experience, explores critical technical challenges including battery limitations and software integration. Mike, Todd Curtis, and John Goglia address regulatory hurdles, safety concerns, and urban integration challenges. They discuss the unrealistic market expectations being promoted by manufacturers. Mike predicts that accidents involving these aircraft are inevitable. Ground-based air traffic management will be essential for safe operations in crowded urban airspace. Emerging advanced air mobility (AAM) transportation revolution will likely succeed, but not in the way some companies in this sector are promising. There are moments in life where we can feel that something larger is trying to move through us.More abundance.More visibility.More creativity.More love.More embodiment.More life force. But expansion amplifies everything:Old survival patterns.Boundary distortions.Over-giving.Creative burnout.Nervous system overwhelm. The fear of truly receiving what we say we want.In this podcast episode, I share the deeper philosophy behind the body of work I've been developing over the last several years around shadow contracts, rhythmic creation, life-force stewardship, embodied abundance, and what it means to consciously expand our capacity to hold more. This episode is for conscious creators, spiritually-led entrepreneurs, healers, visionaries, artists, mystics, and people who can feel themselves moving through a major energetic initiation into their next level.Inside this episode, I talk about:✨ The Lack Matrix vs. the Abundance Matrix✨ Why abundance is resonance✨ Shadow contracts and unconscious energetic depletion✨ Expanding your capacity to hold wealth, love, visibility, and creativity✨ Rhythm as a pathway to embodied abundance✨ Creative life force and regenerative living✨ The importance of preference, sensation, and nervous system coherence✨ Rhythmic “anomaly” practices and embodied creation✨ Finding your own unique rhythm with your craftI also share more about my new mentorship container:✨ Abundance by Craft ✨A 3-Month Wealth Rhythm MentorshipA space for people who are ready to consciously steward their life force, stabilize expansion, and create from resonance instead of depletion. If you'd like more information about the mentorship, you can join my email list or reach out directly. With love,Amanda✨ WANT TO GO DEEPER?

"9/11 WAS AN INSIDE JOB"| Pentagon First Responder Adam Eisenberg PT.1For nearly 25 years, the events of September 11th, 2001 have shaped modern America — but for many, critical questions still remain unanswered. In this explosive episode of Total Disclosure, Tyler sits down with Adam Eisenberg — firefighter, military serviceman, Pentagon first responder, and independent 9/11 investigator — for a deep dive into what he personally witnessed during the aftermath of the Pentagon attack on 9/11.Adam spent nearly 240 hours on-site at the Pentagon following the attacks, participating directly in operational response efforts during one of the darkest moments in American history. But according to Adam, the deeper he investigated the events surrounding 9/11 over the years, the more disturbing the inconsistencies became. From alleged non-disclosure agreements signed before deployment… to missing military records… unanswered FOIA requests… whistleblower suppression… and questions surrounding the Pentagon itself… Adam claims there are still critical aspects of the official narrative that demand further investigation.Drawing from both firsthand experience and his professional background in the aeronautical parts industry, Adam discusses why he believes certain evidence surrounding 9/11 has never been properly examined — and why asking questions about that day became so culturally taboo.

Todd Curtis and John Goglia discuss the details in the NTSB preliminary accident report about the March 22, 2026 fatal collision between an Air Canada Jazz regional jet and a fire truck at LaGuardia Airport. The preliminary report offers a detailed timeline of the key events in the minutes before the accident. The airliner struck a fire truck that was leading six other emergency vehicles across an active runway to deal with an emergency situation. The fire truck had been cleared to cross the runway. Shortly before the truck entered the runway, a controller ordered the fire truck to stop, but the truck entered the runway and collided with the airliner. John has four key questions that he wants the NTSB to address in the final report: 1. Why didn't airport authorities equip their emergency vehicles with transponders that would have given the controllers a more precise location of every vehicle? 2. Could the fire truck have stopped before reaching the runway? 3. Was the control tower communicating effectively? 4. Are the warning lights on the runway effective for separating aircraft from vehicles crossing the runway? Todd Curtis and John Goglia did some digging beyond the official investigation of the tragic March 22, 2026 collision at LaGuardia Airport involving an Air Canada regional jet and an airport fire truck operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. This incident raises serious questions about airport ground safety—and what they have found may surprise you. John digs into critical factors that could have contributed to the accident, including: - Why the fire truck may not have been visible on radar - How the lack of a transponder on emergency vehicles can create blind spots - Whether runway lighting and visibility played a role - The potential impact of color vision on interpreting critical warning signals Despite having ground surveillance systems in place, air traffic controllers reportedly saw only two targets instead of seven separate vehicles. So what went wrong? Could something as simple as visibility—or even color perception—have made the difference between a safe crossing and a fatal mistake? This is a must-watch breakdown for pilots, aviation professionals, and anyone interested in how complex systems can fail under pressure.

Controversial proposed landing fee increases at two airports in Mesa, Arizona could have ripple effects nationwide as more airports adopt user fees. What may look like a routine pricing update could significantly impact flight schools, student pilots, and the overall pilot training environment. John Goglia, Greg Feith and Todd Curtis dive into a critical safety concern. As costs rise, pilots may shift training to less expensive, uncontrolled airports where they will miss out on essential real-world experience communicating with air traffic control. That tradeoff could have real safety implications. John brings insider perspective from his work with airport authorities, revealing how fee structures don't always align with the needs of pilots and aviation businesses. Together, the hosts explore how local financial decisions can unintentionally alter training quality, traffic patterns, and ultimately, aviation safety. If you care about the future of flight training, airport policy, or aviation safety, this is a conversation you don't want to miss.
