Building cities in "super-blocks" as the Romans did way back in the day seems to be making a comeback. You see, Cities used to be built by pedestrians for pedestrians. They invented the whole "shop local" movement and Henry Ford ruined it all. Whatever you needed was literally steps from your front door. You worked, played and shopped where you lived.
