One of my favorite health and wellness companies came out with a new product that I was super excited about. That was until I learned that it was mainly geared towards weight loss with the highest benefit being appetite suppression. What a bummer! Listen in as I discuss why appetite suppressants are a definite NO THANK YOU from me. You can find me hanging out most days over on Instagram @tiffstartsliving - come say hi!
When I saw another fitness professional weigh themselves daily and post online during what they called a "mini cut," it intrigued me. As someone who has had a love/hate relationship with their weight for over a decade, I challenged the idea that I could do this and actually be comfortable with it. I also wanted to do this to see if it was a realistic idea for some of my clients who have voiced the desire to lose body fat. I took to the scales almost daily (vacations and rushed mornings got missed) and was blown away by the changes I saw not only physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. At the end of the podcast, I discuss current program promotions and products. You can find those links below. When I decided to become a certified personal trainer back in 2019, it was because I saw a big part of the population not being served by the fitness industry. Once I started my online business in 2020, I knew that I wanted to do it my way and not fall in line like all of the other online trainers. But with that being said, I know that there are some gaps in my knowledge and even coaches need coaches. So when I decided to sign up for a consultation call with a company that I thought aligned with my values and vision, I was more than happy to commit to the 90 minutes. However, it was AFTER those 90 minutes in a follow up call that things took a turn, and I was reminded of exactly why I created my business. So yes, despite them telling me that they guaranteed that I would make $15k more than what I already make, I said no. Listen in and find out why...
We've talked about fitness, nutrition, lifestyles, body image and more on this podcast. It's a lot of info to take in and start implementing. So today, I go over exactly what you need to get started on your fitness journey. It's quite simple and I bet you already have what you need lying around. Last weekend's hilly AF 5k had me really thankful that I knew my body's limits. Not only to avoid becoming injured, but to avoid leaving the race feeling defeated and frustrated. Protecting my peace when it comes to fitness has become extremely important to me. But it has taken some trial and error.
It wasn't until I became a fitness professional that I realized you can't just "train more." There are steps that need to be taken to prepare your body for more movement if you plan on staying pain and injury free. I go over these things in this episode... and yes, they are things that I am currently doing. My body is no exception. I have to take the long road approach, too! If you would like to become a client, you can find more info on Instagram @tiffstartsliving And if social media isn't your thing, you can reach me via email at contact.thecollaboration@gmail.com

This episode is about how I approached learning to love my reflection in the mirror. And why I chose now to make some changes.
As someone who struggled with undiagnosed anxiety and depression for over a decade, I am quite passionate about this topic. I went from formerly using fitness as my sole outlet for coping with my mental health to now having multiple resources to help me manage when things get tough. In today's episode, I walk you through why I think it is crucial that fitness isn't your only coping mechanism and how it can actually help improve your fitness when you seek other forms of help. If you or someone you know is struggle with mental health, please seek help from a medical professional ASAP.

Listen in as I talk you through how I actually approach goals, goal setting and adjusting for life. You can reach over on Instagram @tiffstartsliving or by email at contact.thecollaboration@gmail.com
