Your body is capable of recovering from absolutely anything that ails you, provided you support it in the healing journey. As we age, it is very important to take time for yourself and to help your body, mind, and soul heal from previous traumas, so that you have more time to enjoy this gift called life. You will learn exactly how to do that with this course. Is it just for men, or can women join?Whilst the course was originally tailored towards men, 95% of it will also be very beneficial for women too! You might notice this male-based origin in the video modules where I refer to men or address you as "my brothers", and in the few parts where we discuss testosterone, male mental health issues etc. However, all of the advice, health strategies, recipes, exercises, stretches, mental health routines etc, can be utilised by both men and women and can vastly improve your life and health. In fact, the content in the Masterclass has already helped a lot of women in my life, including my youngest daughter who has endometriosis. The only thing missing for women is that I don't discuss female hormones or the menopause, as I'm not well versed in these areas.Do I have to be over a certain age to join?My programme has been tailored to those in their Golden Years (usually age 55+), as it is around this time that our metabolic processes change, mobility reduces, energy and hormone levels drop, and nutrition needs fluctuate (although this can happen earlier for some). I noticed changes in my early fifties and had to adapt my approach to match this new chapter in my life, which is why I aimed this course at people around this age, as the knowledge within it is particularly useful for those who are nearing (or are already in) their golden years. How long does the course take? I'm busy and don't know if I'll be able to fit it inThis course has been carefully designed to have all the information you need, without additional fluff or wasted time. There is a vast amount of content, however you choose the speed at which you go through the modules, and you can revisit them as often as you want. Basically, it takes as long or as little time as you choose to invest in it.Show lessSupport the show

Internet Fights, Reality TV Regrets & The Blower ApocalypseWelcome back to Happy Hour With Jay! But here we are.Next, let's discuss the loudest, most unnecessary menace to society—those damn blowers. Why are they always at full blast at 7 AM? Science has yet to provide an answer.Speaking of unnecessary stress, elementary school drop-off and pickup is a whole battlefield. If you know, you know. Then, for my Vegas Tip of the Week, I'm putting you onto LPM Restaurant—home to an unreal ribeye cooked in a Josper oven (fancy name for an elite charcoal grill). Trust me, you need this in your life.Of course, we're wrapping up with some real talk:

Even with strict guidelines around prescribing opioids, people are becoming addicted to the painkillers. The medical community has made efforts to reduce over-prescribing in recent years. But as Mary Jane Hampton tells us in this week's health hack, there are things we can do as well.

Is Vitamin C really the immune-boosting miracle it's often claimed to be? In this episode of the Primal Shift podcast, we explore whether it's overhyped and ineffective, or something you should actually consider adding to your supplement stack. While this powerful antioxidant is crucial for your body's defenses and supports collagen production, skin health and cellular repair, its effectiveness isn't as clear-cut as many believe. After all, while research shows that high doses of Vitamin C can slightly reduce the duration of colds, there's little evidence that it prevents them entirely. Plus, the source of your Vitamin C matters. Whole food sources like citrus fruits and organ meats often outperform synthetic supplements because they come with cofactors that improve vitamin absorption and utilization. If you're following a nutrient-dense, animal-based diet, your Vitamin C needs may already be lower, as such diets reduce oxidative stress and limit the competition between carbs and Vitamin C for absorption. But true immune health doesn't rely on one nutrient alone; it's built on daily habits that support your body's natural defenses. Sunlight exposure for Vitamin D, cold plunging to activate shock proteins, and sauna bathing to repair cells are just a few examples of powerful tools to keep your immune system functioning optimally. Pairing these practices with regular exercise, quality sleep, and an animal-based diet creates a holistic approach to staying healthy, even during cold and flu season. For me, freeze-dried organ supplements fill in any nutritional gaps when fresh organ meats aren't available. Packed with immune-supporting nutrients like zinc, selenium, and Vitamin A, they're an easy way to supercharge your diet. And while Vitamin C can play a supporting role in immune health, it's not a standalone solution. Focusing on nutrient-dense foods and consistent daily habits will always have a bigger impact on your overall well-being. So, does Vitamin C work? Yes, but the bigger takeaway is that health is about the whole picture, not just one supplement. By building strong foundations with your diet and lifestyle, you can support your body's natural ability to thrive year-round. I tried a lot of things for hormone health in 2024… Some I've shared on social media and on this podcast and some have been complete flops that I will never share. I enjoy the trial and error and being a guinea pig for these modalities. To save you a bunch of time and effort, I want to share with you what I'm taking into 2025 when it comes to health hacks and self care practices. I'll list them below in case you want a detailed explanation of each and let me know which ones you take into 2025! Crunchy moms who have spent years telling their child's pediatrician they want to limit the vaccines their child receives may soon have an advocate in Washington, D.C. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who President-elect Donald Trump has tapped to head the Department of Health and Human Services, is spending the week before Christmas meeting with Senators on Capitol Hill ahead of his expected confirmation hearing early next year. Kennedy has branded himself as the leader of the “Make America Healthy Again” campaign, or MAHA, raising concerns over the obesity in this country, the processed food in American grocery stores, and the vaccines given to children. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that in 2000, one in every 150 children had been identified with autism spectrum disorder. By 2020, this number had risen to one in every 36 children. Kennedy has voiced support for studies to examine if the rise in autism is linked to the increasing number of vaccines given to babies and children. “I'm not anti-vaccine, I just want good science,” Kennedy said in April during an appearance on “Real Time with Bill Maher,” adding, “I am against vaccine mandates.” Trump says he expects Kennedy to present him with reports on vaccines, but has assured the American people that they will still have access to vaccines. “You're not going to lose the polio vaccine,” Trump told reporters during a press conference at Mar-a-Lago on Monday. Kennedy's “MAHA” movement comes at a time when many Americans are embracing health trends. The U.S. wellness economy is valued at $1.8 trillion, according to Global Wellness Institute. From ditching seed oils to taking a cold plunge, many Americans increasingly appear interested in living healthier lives. On this week's edition of “Problematic Women,” we discuss the popular health trends of 2024, how Kennedy could change the nation's approach to health and wellness, and ways to avoid some of those Christmas goodies. Plus, God's Goop founder Justyn McAndrews joins the show to discuss the surprising health benefits of beef tallow - the perfect gift for your crunchy friend or family member this Christmas.
