We've talked on the show about the sport of American Football, and how it's odd that with it being such a major sport in the United States, there historically hasn't been a lot of opportunities to play at the professional level outside of the NFL. Until the last few years however when other organizations such as the AAF, XFL, and even FCF, as well as now the newly formed USFL, have come into play to help give football players a chance to play high level football at the next level. Darnell Leslie had a chance to play in the NFL with a few teams such as the Cowboys and the Steelers, and he also was able to play in the AAF and the XFL too. Today he'll share his experiences in each of those leagues and why he believed they were great for his development in the sport of football. Find out what it was like competing in the AAF and XFL, good and bad. We'll also chat about the financial side of the sport when it comes to professional football. If you're not one of the "top dogs" in the NFL, what is it REALLY like behind the scenes as you're trying to make your way through the league? What about playing up north in Canada in the CFL? Darnell will share his experiences and life lessons, and share with us WHY he decided to hang them up when he did and what he took with him from football that he uses in his life today! Make sure you give Darnell a follow on his various social media platforms: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/darnelljamar2_/ Twitter: @DarnellJamar_ TikTok: @DarnellJamar_ Darnell is working today in Real Estate as well as in IT where he'll share certain skills he's taken from his football journey into his professional career off the gridiron.

Obum Gwacham immigrated to California from Otinsha, Nigeria when he was 7 years old, started playing football in high school and came to Oregon State in 2010. After 3 years of playing wide receiver, he switched to defensive end in 2014 and became one of OSU's best defensive players, parlaying that success into an ongoing professional career. After stops with the Seahawks, Saints, Jets and Colts, and the now-defunct AAF & XFL, Obum recently signed with the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League. He's a tremendous athlete and an even better interview. -- Dynasty in the Woods comes out this month!
