[00:30] Crime Crisis (47 minutes) The United States is sick from top to bottom. Rampant crime fills our streets, while secret crimes are exposed in the highest levels of government. White-collar political criminals are paid millions to appear on mainstream news networks and write tell-all books. In the UK, children as young as 4 are sent home from school for “racism,” and police turn a blind eye to Muslim rape gangs targeting young British girls. What is the cause of this crime crisis? Calls have been made for the permanent installation of working CCTV at a popular Clare amenity, in order to curb a spate of anti-social behaviour. It follows a number of recent incidents at Shannon Town Park, including allegations of substance use, open drug dealing ,fires and littering. Although cameras are in place at the site, it's understood the system is not active or monitored by Gardaí. Shannon Sinn Féin Representative Shane Doody says it's urgently needed.
Charles, Ian, Jamie and Paul are together for our next deep dive as we turn our attention to the AFC North. This time we're looking at the Pittsburgh Steelers as they come into the season with the oldest starting QB and one of the youngest offensive lines in the league. Changes in the running and receiving room could tell, but how good could that defence be?

President Trump, justifying his temporary federal takeover of policing in the nation's capital, claimed at a press conference Monday that the violent crime situation in Washington, DC, “is getting worse, not getting better.” But violence in the capital is actually falling. On this episode concerned West Dublin residents voiced their anger and concern following an alleged assault of a teenager by a large gang at a sports ground in Adamstown, near Lucan. Gardai say no complaints have been made about the incident.
Washington, DC is coming under federal, perhaps even military control, because the president is claiming, falsely, that crime is out of control. (It's far from perfect, but it's not at its worst.) The irony is that DC's most violent crime actually occurred on January 6, 2021 and its mastermind is now the one in charge of its police. What could go wrong? We'll also ride another wave as the Brewers again reach a double-digit winning streak. Villages in west and north Clare are said to be "suffering" with no means of retaining their young population. An action plan is being sought following the publication of new data revealing two of the county's five local electoral areas aren't experiencing population growth. In the Ennistymon LEA, 176 births and 173 deaths were recorded in 2022, giving it an almost neutral increase rate of 0.2. The region is often purported to be at the coalface of construction constraints, with the lack of adequate wastewater infrastructure as well as prohibitive planning legislation creating obstacles to development in many settlements. Ennistymon Fianna Fáil Councillor Shane Talty claims it's especially difficult to build one-off homes along the Wild Atlantic Way.

Whether or not you believe in God, no doubt you believe in a better tomorrow...and these songs yearn for just that. (This podcast was previously recorded and published on May 3, 2020) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... The more people talk, the wiser they get in their own eyes ... and pride of man abounds. James 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. What the Bible says about this ... == Proverbs 10:19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise. Psalm 63:11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by HIM (by God) shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped. 2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. John 10:10 Jesus says ... The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Matthew 5:37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. James 3:5-8 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. 7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: 8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

In this podcast, we discuss its key findings and recommendations.

Gout is a form of inflammatory arthritis caused by high levels of uric acid in the blood - 'once called the disease of Kings' because only rich people got it - and over the last decade or two, new cases have exploded across all social, cultural and financial demographics (so not just rich people). Historically, it was believed that gout was caused by eating too much red meat, seafood and dairy but of course, Gillespo is here to dispel that thinking and talk about the real culprit. It's been a deadly start to the year in Peru. The country has already seen more than 700 homicides: a 20 percent increase compared to last year. These murders are often the result of extortion attempts, a crime that is also on the rise and affects all sectors: business owners, bus drivers and even private schools. To deal with the violence, the government declared a state of emergency in the capital Lima on March 18, but that has done little to help. Across the city, residents are exhausted and frightened. FRANCE 24's Agathe Fourcade and Martin Chabal report, with Wassim Cornet.
