Jordy Bogguss is with us to wonder what Derick is watching that makes Police Squad! not that great.

"The Naked Gun" movies were huge in the late '80s to mid '90s but what most people don't know is that we first met Detective Frank Drebin years prior with the short lived show "Police Squad!". Police Squad! is a classic comedy television series that originally aired in 1982. Created by the renowned duo Jim Abrahams and brothers David and Jerry Zucker, the show parodies the popular police procedural genre. Starring Leslie Nielsen as the bumbling and clueless Detective Frank Drebin, the series follows his misadventures as he tries to solve various crimes alongside his eccentric colleagues. Known for its rapid-fire sight gags, slapstick humor, and absurd wordplay, "Police Squad!" embraces a zany and irreverent style of comedy. Despite its critical acclaim and loyal fanbase, the show was met with an early demise, with only six episodes produced. Will the S1E1 boys agree with the network's decision to end this show early? Listen as they deep dive Police Squad's pilot episode, "A Substantial Gift (The Broken Promise)" www.S1E1POD.com Starring: Leslie Nielsen, Alan North, Rex Hamilton, Lorne Greene, & Kathryn Leigh Scott Instagram & Twitter: @S1E1POD

In episode 12 of ANOTHER TIME, MACLEOD! (19:31-21:14), Robs Daniel (@rob_a_daniel) and Wallis (@robertmwallis) talk about the arrival of Highlander's female lead, Brenda Wyatt (played by Roxanne Hart), at the crime scene beneath Madison Square Garden. Topics of discussion include another memorable scene transition, appreciation of some late greats (RIP, Alan North, Jon Polito, and Edward Wiley) bowdlerised movie quotes, some more fan-fiction ideas, lots of Simpsons references. NOTE: Please be aware that the audio quality is pretty grisly in this episode - though not, we can promise, in the next one.
