It's 2020, Amy is pregnant, Rory is a country doctor, and the Doctor is visiting. But is it real? Jimmy, Dom, and Fr. Cory discuss the Dream Lord (is he real?) and the moment in this season when Amy has to definitively decide whether her feelings lie with Rory or the Doctor.
The TARDIS Crew is given the challenge of choosing between death by herd of village pensioners or death by cold star. The Dream Lord has arrived!
Don't forget to check out our awesome sponsor, The War For The Tower Podcast, at www.warforthetower.com! You can also find them by searching "war for the tower" in your podcatcher! In this episode, Amy is finally put in a position that forces her to make a commitment to either leaving Rory for good, or deciding that he is who she wants to be with. Overall, the whole thing seems like it's a choice between the Doctor and Rory, but it's much more about Amy than it is about either of the men in her life. There's also a mysterious baddie who has placed them in two different scenarios, and they have to figure out which one is real in order to resume their normal lives. But he's not at all what he seems to be, and neither are these scenarios. Thanks for listening and we will see you next week!

The Married Crew gathers to react to Amy’s Choice! We forgot to plug our sound board into the computer, so the whole thing is recorded through the laptop microphone. It’s not the best sounding episode, so feel free to give this one a miss!
This 2010 Doctor Who episode features a dilemma of realities and dreaming. The task is up to Amy and it could mean life or death for the TARDIS crew. We take a closer look at this one and make a choice of if it is excellent or not so much. Give us a listen and let us know what you think - thanks! On this episode, I start my foray into my new Falling-in-Love-with-Doctor-Who-Again series -- called 'Spark Joy', because I'm a dork – with a squeeful review of my favorite new series story, "Amy's Choice". Now, to be honest, I didn't really have a clue how truly controversial this episode was until I heard the new-ish Verity! Podcast episode chatting about it very recently. And unfortunately, I'd already recorded my own episode at that point when I did hear theirs (I was taking a break from editing it to check it out, in fact), so I couldn't/didn't really talk about or address their particular impressions here in mine – though I did make a comment or two on their blog post for the episode. But anyway, because of that, obviously this episode is just my own personal feelings on the story, untainted by Other Fandom Feels and as different as they apparently might be for other people! And also in the spirit of my joy about the diversity of opinion in our fandom, I'll definitely plonk a link to the Verity! episode below in my show notes, if you're interested in hearing some contrasting opinions on things. #yayfandomdiversity Anyway, aside from my massive squee about 'Amy's Choice', also included in this episode is some squee about conventions (both my recent visit to Wholanta 2019, as well as some exciting guests planned for DragonCon 2019), some squee about other podcasts (as I'm often wont to do), and some squee about listener feedback. And so yeah, this is overall a pretty squeeful episode! So, hold onto your hats, everyone, and enjoy the ride! Come dream with Colin, Shelby, Kelsey, and Michael as we wake up in a world of dreams. Amy Pond must choose which reality is the correct one in a story where the only reality is that there isn't any reality. In a spooky way, we must tackle topics such as the elderly, pregnancy, and THAT pony tail. Hopefully we don't all fall asleep rating this unreal story. Chirp Chirp! ZZZZZZZZ
You'd think choosing between a time traveling alien and a grown man with a ponytail would be easy. But when you throw in an entity that controls dreams, a cold star and elderly aliens... things get complicated. This week we're talking about Amy's Choice. Join us as we welcome author Marcia Strykowski and her new book "Amy's Choice." We will be diving into Marcia's new young adult novel appropriately titled, "Amy's Choice." Amy's Choice dives into the life of Amy Henderson and her cast of friends. Amy's freshman year starts with a new best friend, Cat, and a newfound confidence. But she misses her crush, Craig, who has gone to live with his aunt in Boston. Craig has promised to write, and Amy checks the mail on a daily basis, but to no avail. There are plenty of distractions, however. Cat's brother, Ricky, seems interested in Amy, but is she interested in him? And a new friendship with Finn, the lighthouse keeper, who Amy discovers is a talented artist, keeps Amy and Cat busy as they arrange for him to exhibit his work. But things get complicated when Craig returns from Boston and Finn is accused of arson. There are more questions than answers for Amy as life becomes as turbulent as the cold and stormy ocean of her coastal Maine town. Ideal for preteens, this novel is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Call Me Amy and touches upon issues of friendship, boyfriend troubles, and the power of believing in oneself. Tune in as we dive into "Amy's Choice" by author Marcia Strykowski. Stay tuned and keep it locked.
Amy is torn between two realities, and the wrong decision will kill everyone she loves ("Amy's Choice"). Then, the Silurians return to reclaim the planet, again ("The Hungry Earth" / "Cold Blood"). The lads continue to plough on with the series 5 retrospective with one of their favourite stories from that series, Amy's Choice. Try as they might, they both felt they were struggling with this one as they both agree that this is still one of the best episodes of series 5 but there was nothing to moan about! And an episode of the Who's He? Podcast just isn't the same without someone whinging about something. Oh I forgot, they whinged about one of this weeks news items, which is the announcement of an official BBC Doctor Who Convention next year which is going to cost the punters £99 per ticket! Still, aside from that, they'll see you there!
The Series 5 Commentary series rears its head once again as the Three Who Rule tackle fan favourite Amy's Choice with much glee and delectation. More fan enjoyment came this past week in the form of Death of the Doctor, featuring Matt Smith's return as the Doctor in the latest installment of The Sarah Jane Adventures. Fans awaiting the Christmas special got not one but two pieces of good news this week as it was announced that the BFI will be holding an advance screening for the episode while the rest of us have to suffer with a Children In Need clip next month. Join the fandom fun with the whole gang in this episode of Radio Free Skaro before it's gone gone gone! Check out the show notes at www.radiofreeskaro.com.
In this week's episode, the TVZ team discusses the third season of True Blood so far. Also, Doctor Who, the news of the week, and a commentary about the Doctor Who episode, "Amy's Choice."

Disclaimer: Now here's the part where we list some of Eric's pathetic factual gaffes in this week's ep, or as we like to call them: 'Intentional' production errors or Easter Eggs: 1) Eric incorrectly refers to actor Toby Jones (The Dream Lord) as Tom Jones. 2) Eric calls her Mrs. Potter rather than Mrs. Poggit. 3) When Eric was referring to the wonderful violin piece composed by @murraygold he incorrectly pointed toward Rory's exit scene. While it too contains a wonderful piece of music, it is a piano which is heard prevalently at that point. Given the mixed reactions that The Three Who Rule have had about past attempts of surrealism in Doctor Who, one wouldn't expect the latest noodle-scratcher to be an episode for them to agree on. But that's just what "Amy's Choice" was, a daring and bold step into a world of dreams featuring pregnant Amys, awkward Doctors, and rampant elder abuse. Really, what's not to love? And there wasn't even one hint of The Valeyard making a return appearance. Or was there....?Check out the show notes at www.radiofreeskaro.com.
