A sombre edition of The Tip Sheet opens with the boys commiserating the passing of Craig's father, Leo. It is understandably a hugely difficult time for the bastion of TCT and we are hugely appreciative of him finding it in him to join the show. On the Parramatta front, it was a rough weekend for the club. The Jersey Flegg bowed out of the finals following an error riddled second half against the Roosters. Our NRLW team got thumped by the Sharks and ended a tumultuous season on a low note. There was happenings on the signings front with the Eels moving to secure Kelma Tuilagi from the Sea Eagles on the remainder of his current 2-year deal. Tuilagi bolsters the backrow stocks for the club with uncertainty surrounding the future of Andrew Davey following a bad concussion late in the season. The boys review the results from the NRL finals and run through the latest news and gossip from across the code. The show wraps up with a breakdown of the two grand final qualifiers. Can anyone stop Penrith? Can the Warriors keep the dream alive? Listen and find out!
Big episode as Buzz addresses his NRL360 debate with James Graham over the Bulldogs. Buzz, MC and Mobbsy discuss anonymous player sources and the fallout for Andrew Davey telling his story. They talk Dragons moves, break down the finals matches and Buzz tells a story about Scott Morrison and Lachlan Ilias, and another one about his fence. Yes, his fence.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In episode 5, I discuss the ongoing vendetta of Buzz Rothfield against the club and Gus Gould. In his search for validation of his own lies, he knowingly puts out comments from brief Bulldog Andrew Davey, which questioned Cameron Ciraldo as a coach. Buzz has been around. He knows why this was a real bad move for Andrew Davey. I explain why. I discuss this from another angle and explain why Buzz continues to try and lead all roads back to Gus Gould and Belmore. Including his inappropriate lies tying all players leaving or potentially leaving Canterbury-Bankstown to the leaked reports of players being unhappy for training schedules etc. Buzz has to be very careful as he is also linking stories of mental health to responses made about other questions. Its the constant misrepresentation and melding of these stories which if anything is the main protagonist in assisting in poor mental health of players. I also discuss emergence of rival ticket who are of course feeding buzz stories. Check it out and remember, mental health and feelings are for the individual. They are valid and should be supported no matter what. Disagreement of their opinion or criticism of their performance isn't attacking their mental health. Their own assessments are likely to have a way worse effect. Usually beating themselves up more than any coach, trainer or fan could. Buzz and others focussing on naming players is putting them in a negative light. It's hurting their careers and potentially their mental health. Its united Canterbury fans and all ex players are on same page. He should know better! Check out the podcast.

A return, a re-signing and a rousing SG Ball title lead the way for the Eels in this week's edition of the NRL & News on The Tip Sheet. Sixites, Forty20 and Clint get right into the weekend of action against the Newcastle Knights. From big wins in the NRL and NSW Cup to the stirring win in the SG Ball grand final, the boys break it all down. Andrew Davey is back and Sean Russell has re-signed while the NRLW have been busy building up their 2023 squad. The show looks at all the roster moves for the Blue & Gold before scoping out which junior Eels earned representative honours for City. Magic Round is back and so are concerns about the state of the turf. With the Eels and Titans playing the last game of the round there are legitimate concerns - the show asks what can be done? Does Magic Round need to be split across two venues? The Tigers ended an awful drought with a gutsy win over the Penrith Panthers. Can they build on that momentum? Josh Reynolds and Zac Lomax find themselves in different spots of trouble while there is some bad blood at Manly.
Aaron Woods, Anthony Maroon & Wade Graham are back to preview some NRL clubs as we approach the footy season! Today the boys have a look at how the Panthers, Bulldogs & Warriors will travel in 2023! ------
The Official Coleraine Podcast was delighted to welcome referee Andrew Davey on this week's show. The episode - hosted by Damian Mullan and Johnny McNabb - asks Andrew about why he got into refereeing, his highs and lows and his current injury. Furthermore, Andrew explains the shortage of referees throughout the Province, officiating in Europe and which former Coleraine player asked him about wearing fake tan. The trio also discuss about the possibility of VAR being introduced into the Irish League and the emergence of social media in rating referees' performances. Damian and Johnny recap the goalless draw against Linfield and look ahead to Saturday's derby clash against Ballymena United. Once again, we would like to thank our Podcast sponsor, Radio Taxis, for their ongoing support.

The Eels were well off the pace when they faced the Manly Sea Eagles in Round 10 of the NRL and they were made to pay as they succumbed to a back-breaking first-half blitz. Sixties and Forty20 dig into the post-mortem to explore where it all went wrong and in doing so they also find a few commendable performers. After breaking down a few of the more controversial moments in the game, Sixties delves into the fascinating backstory surrounding the debut of backrower Andrew Davey. From there the boys talk about training and game preparation before taking a look ahead to the Thursday night where the Eels meet the Tigers.
