On this exciting episode of Fishing the DMV, host Thomas Arens sits down with Tom Van Atta, a passionate multi-species angler who specializes in chasing Northern Pike and Musky across the Mid-Atlantic. Together they dive deep into the thriving Pike fishery at Deep Creek Lake, Maryland — a hidden gem nestled in the Appalachian Mountains and one of the few lakes in the region where anglers can target these toothy predators year-round.Tom shares how Deep Creek's cool, clear waters and abundant forage create the perfect environment for trophy-sized pike. He breaks down his favorite seasonal patterns, lure choices, and key structure to focus on, while also offering insight into how this fishery has evolved through Maryland DNR's management efforts.Tom Van Atta bait Company: https://www.saddletrampbaitco.com/?fbclid=IwAR2jGiM2YwJyx_yfPBR_o1BDioDj-fh94so830FZzrmLttXbM36e6Ge3r7k Tom van Atta on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tom_vanatta?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw== Pennsylvania Monsters YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_DeUx3vKAw Please support Fishing the DMV on Patreon!!!https://patreon.com/FishingtheDMVPodcast If you are interested in being on the show or a sponsorship opportunity, please reach out to me at fishingtheDMV@gmail.comJake's bait & Tackle website: http://www.jakesbaitandtackle.com/ Places you can listen to Fishing the DMV audio version: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1893009 Fishing the DMV YouTube Channel: https://youtu.be/n3c-CFvmpFg Fishing the DMV Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/fishingthedmv/?utm_medium=copy_link#fishing #fishingreport #fishingtheDMVSupport the show

The NRL Richest 100 is out — and the numbers are wild. Is $1.2 million a year really value for Turbo or Ponga? Has Luai only just started earning his price tag — now that the Tigers have stopped treating him like a controlling half? Souths have 10 players on the list... but sit 12th on the ladder. That’s a roster imbalance that could become Wayne Bennett’s biggest ever challenge. We break down which clubs are getting bang for buck — and which ones are paying for reputations, not results. The Wests Tigers didn't get flogged, but it was still a disappointing night for fans on Sunday. Taking on injury-hit South Sydney, there was hope our boys could keep that important 50% win record alive heading into the bye. It wasn't to be, though, with Souths getting home 22-12. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel Helmes is joined by Steve Stretton and Eddie Otto to pull apart the most recent Wests Tigers Performance. Some of the key issues up for discussion include: Our lack of direction Our lack of impact Our poor execution Our lack of variation in most of our plays There's also the topic discussed that seems to be on most Wests Tigers fans' minds, and that is recruitment. Why are we watching a promising season slip away without strengthening some of the obvious weaknesses in the squad? There are a couple of positives on the agenda, though. It can be hard to find too many things to get excited about as a follower of the club right now, but we found a couple. These are, namely, the ongoing contributions being made by Sione Fainu and the impressive work of Tony Sukkar on Sunday evening. There's also a pat on the back for Charlie Staines and Sunia Turuva, too. We run through the many 'One Word' contributions from members of the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum, and Steve tells us about the Ambush event held before the match. That event was a little different, it included members of the rival Souths group, The Burrow. Did everyone get along? Steve has the details. Oh, and Eddie and Steve also fire their shots in a new round of calling out some rugby league columnists over their ongoing questionable behaviours. We didn't get the win, but we hope you enjoy this latest edition of the pod. Thanks for listening.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
