AJ and Rhys react live to the announcement of the Origin teams and have a spirited debate over the inclusion of Ezra Mam… it is a contentious talking point and we're the only podcast to present both sides of the argument.Onto club land, we look at the big comeback from Newcastle and debate whether the fans were vindicated by booing the team off the field. We also discuss how the comeback has saved Adam O'Brien while discussing the lack of finish from Manly in the second half. Friday saw Melbourne clinical against a Cowboys side that has seemingly lost direction while the Dolphins leave Shane Flanagan searching for answers after an Isaiya Katoa masterclass.Super Saturday again left us with more questions than answers for Cronulla after their second 40-point thrashing in a row. Are they just a ‘flat-track bully' team or is there anything to salvage from a shocker against the Warriors. AJ lets rip over Cronulla's recruitment after two ‘rejects' in Luke Metcalf and Sam Healey produce amazing performances. We also delve into the Broncos massive win as Rhys has a big look at his side's performance.Sunday footy saw big wins for Canberra and Penrith. Rhys tells us why Ethan Strange is equal to or even better than Lachlan Galvin. It is a major win for the Raiders as Souths lack of an 80-minute performance is examined minutely. We turn attention quickly to CommBank Stadium to discuss the ‘embarrassing calls' that the NRL cleared but look at the unsung heroes that have salvaged Penrith's season. Monday saw the King's Birthday honours go to Canterbury in a ruthless second half showing over the Eels. We also answer the charge of the media of over-exposing Galvin on club debut and if it is fair on a young teen.

Souths CEO Blake Solly spoke with Mark Levy and declared the club wants coach Wayne Bennett to remain at the club beyond his deal that expires in 2027, following rumours he could be the target for the incoming PNG franchise. Solly also doubled down on his club’s desire to return to Allianz Stadium and get out of the current agreement with Accor Stadium, declaring the Rabbitohs’ future is in Moore Park.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Chaps goes into the two signings Souths announced this week in an audio only podcast. #rabbitohs #sports #nrl #entertainment
The Wests Tigers didn't get flogged, but it was still a disappointing night for fans on Sunday. Taking on injury-hit South Sydney, there was hope our boys could keep that important 50% win record alive heading into the bye. It wasn't to be, though, with Souths getting home 22-12. On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel Helmes is joined by Steve Stretton and Eddie Otto to pull apart the most recent Wests Tigers Performance. Some of the key issues up for discussion include: Our lack of direction Our lack of impact Our poor execution Our lack of variation in most of our plays There's also the topic discussed that seems to be on most Wests Tigers fans' minds, and that is recruitment. Why are we watching a promising season slip away without strengthening some of the obvious weaknesses in the squad? There are a couple of positives on the agenda, though. It can be hard to find too many things to get excited about as a follower of the club right now, but we found a couple. These are, namely, the ongoing contributions being made by Sione Fainu and the impressive work of Tony Sukkar on Sunday evening. There's also a pat on the back for Charlie Staines and Sunia Turuva, too. We run through the many 'One Word' contributions from members of the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum, and Steve tells us about the Ambush event held before the match. That event was a little different, it included members of the rival Souths group, The Burrow. Did everyone get along? Steve has the details. Oh, and Eddie and Steve also fire their shots in a new round of calling out some rugby league columnists over their ongoing questionable behaviours. We didn't get the win, but we hope you enjoy this latest edition of the pod. Thanks for listening.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

AJ is again joined by Johnny Lew to recap Round 8 of the NRL season. A round that will be remembered for 18 sin-bins and a ‘crackdown' on high contact. We also have a fun take on all the games this week including the Bulldogs first loss of the season over the Broncos. Some ANZAC Day fun for the Roosters as they tear apart the Dragons once again. We also rip the Newcastle attack apart for a second week in a row as the Warriors improvement is once again on show for everyone to see. We look at Souths' struggles as we analyse Melbourne's improvement on a whole.Saturday football sees us go up north to Townsville to see how the Cowboys massacred a Titans side that led 18-6... to put 50 on them and eliminate the Gold Coast from the NRL finals race. We also put the cleaners through Penrith after a disastrous performance against Manly thanks to Haumole and Turbo going bonkers.Sunday footy sees the Dolphins blow a 28-10 lead while we crucify the Sharks late game management before rounding out the week with a look at the English Super League and the news of a potential NRL takeover of the struggling competition.
On a solemn, moving pre-game ceremony, Storm channelled the ANZAC Spirit in trying conditions, getting their 20th consecutive win over the Rabbitohs in Melbourne. In a game where Storm always looked to be in control, unlike previous weeks, Melbourne did not rely on their attacking flair to establish victory over Souths. Wet weather is the great equaliser, which brought both teams into an arm wrestle. But Storm were patient, built pressure and dug in defensively to notch up another win on ANZAC Day at AAMI Park. Stormy Daniel back from Melbourne covers off on your listener questions, what's making Storm news, throw back team list and who's in and who's out for Team List Tuesday en route to Brisbane for Magic Round, where Ricky's Raiders will be waiting. In 1978 Dennis Corak played well in his Reserve Grade debut for the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Penrith Park. Then Dennis was asked to sit on the bench for the First Grade clash. During that game an injury to the ‘Redfern Express' Terry Fahey prompted Souths coach Jack Gibson to put Corak on as a replacement for the international winger. Corak took the field making his NRL debut, made a try saving tackle, scored a try and was named man of the match. It was later described by commentator Rex Mossop as ‘A very impressive afternoon for the youngster'.Interact:► Website: https://bunniestv.au/► Contact us - stevem@bunniestv.auSocials:► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bunniestv► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bunniestvau/► X: https://twitter.com/Bunniestvau► TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@bunnies_tvSponsors:► The Juniors: https://www.thejuniors.com.au/► Georges Cameras: https://www.georges.com.au/► SEQIT: https://www.seqit.com.au/► Global Mouse Travel: https://www.globalmousetravel.com/#BunniesTV
