On this edition of Redleg Roundtable, Seth Shaner is joined by Riverfront hosts Christ Garber, Nate Dotson and Chad Dotson. Garber was raised in Ohio and was a Reds fan from birth and later became an encyclopedia of baseball knowledge. Nate Dotson learned to be a Reds fan at the feet of his older brother, Chad Dotson, who began following the Reds while growing up on the outskirts of Reds Country alongside his parents and grandparents, who were fans of the Big Red Machine. One common denominator for fans of a certain age seems to be the remnants of the glory years of the 1970s, despite not being old enough to have witnessed the greatest era of the franchise. Redsfest is a great event held every year by the Reds. It's not just a way for Reds fans to interact with the team but also there are so many activities to do with the family, and also a great way to meet other Reds fans. For 2024, due to the Duke Energy Convention Center going through renovations, there will not be a Redsfest in 2024. The question is, with other convention centers within a close distance to downtown Cincinnati, should the Reds still have found a way to have their annual event as a thank you to the fans? Tim and Ben discuss this topic with Chad Dotson as well as their thoughts on how the MLB playoffs are going, Arizona Fall League, and more. It has been a wild week for the Cincinnati Reds, so we're bringing you a second episode. Chad Dotson and Chris Garber got together to discuss the news of the week, including a bunch of trades and some completely nonsensical remarks from Reds general manager Nick Krall. Enjoy! Chad Dotson of the Riverfront and Cincinnati Magazine joins the show to discuss the off-season for the Cincinnati Reds.
The Cincinnati Reds dropped their 8th-straight series, this one to the Los Angeles Dodgers, though for a moment it seemed like they could win it. Jeff breaks down what happened to a late-game comeback attempt by the Reds and why it seemed like it was managerial malfeasance. He also welcomes Chad Dotson in to talk about the departure of the entire player development staff for the Reds and what that means for the future. They finish up the podcast by talking about playoff hopes and the TJ Friedl story that was so awesome, thanks to Mookie Betts.*FOLLOW* the podcast on your favorite app and on Twitter and Instagram @lockedonredsAlso follow @jefffcarr on Twitter and @carrjefff on InstagramCall or text (513) 549-0159Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar.
