If you're tired of stitching together a pricey, time-sucking podcast stack, you'll love this. Nathan Gwilliam is a serial entrepreneur whose latest exit was Adoption.com. After hosting 350+ episodes on digital monetization, he found the typical toolkit fragmented and costly—around two grand a month—and built PodUp, an AI-powered, single-login platform with 50+ integrated tools to create, grow, and monetize. For time-strapped teams, he also started PodAllies, a done-for-you agency that handles production and marketing once you hit stop. Today, Nathan shares how to go from fragmented to frictionless—and scale your show at a fraction of the cost.Nathan Gwilliam is a serial entrepreneur who has created and sold 3 digital ventures. His most recent exit was Adoption.com, which was the world's most-visited adoption site. After selling Adoption.com Nathan started hosting a podcast about digital monetization, where he published more than 350 episodes. After a few months of publishing audio, video, biogs, social, a website and a newsletter for his show, Nathan realized he was doing it the hard way. Nathan needed more than 30 different technologies that cost nearly $2,000 per month. Those technologies were missing a lot of the functionality he needed, and they had very little integration. He felt like he was duct-taping them together. And, they took way too much time and effort. Even after recording and editing the content, Nathan still had to pay someone 4 hours per day to syndicate the content. Nathan realized the need to solve this problem by creating the all-in-one podcasting platform. So, Nathan began building his fourth venture, PodUp, the ultimate podcasting platform with 50+ tools for creating, growing and monetizing a podcast venture... powered by Al. These tools are integrated, have one username and password, and are available for a small fraction of the price of licensing all the technologies individually. Many businesses and entrepreneurs want a podcast to build thought leadership, credibility and reach, but they don't feel they have time. To solve this problem, PodUp runs a podcasting agency named PodAllies that provides done-for-you podcast production and marketing services. PodAllies clients can record their episodes, and then PodAllies can do essentially everything else for them. In addition to Nathan's ventures, he's also consulted for numerous companies. For example: • He increased revenue by $5 million for a Facebook app in just 12 months. • Developed and launched the social strategy for a media company that grew social follows from less than 100k to 130 million+. This became the most engaging social channels of any publisher in the world at that time with 40 million+ monthly comments, likes, and shares (source: Unmetric). • Created a network of sites and social channels which reached 280 million monthly uniques. • Launched a YouTube channel in four languages that received 1.7 million video views in the first 2 months. • Helped grow Azul airlines' social follows from 5k to 1.6 million in 12 months and created a travel social network for them. Azul became the fastest-growing airline ever in those early days and had a successful IPO. • Created a language-learning platform that reached close to a million fans. Nathan has won numerous awards, such as: • Awarded "Best of the Decade" by the BYU Center for Entrepreneurship&. Technology. • Awarded the US Congress "Angel in Adoption". • Won two different business plan competitions. • Inducted into the "Adoption Hall of Fame".Contact Details:Email: nathan@gwilliam.com Business: PodUpWebsite: https://podup.com/ Social Media Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nathangwilliam Remember to SUBSCRIBE so you don't miss "Information That You Can Use." The crew is BACK and loaded with takes! We kick things off breaking down Super Bowl Sunday where the Seahawks dominated the Patriots — was Drake May just rattled or was the offensive line the real problem? We debate Sam Darnold's redemption arc, Kenneth Walker's MVP performance, and whether this Super Bowl lacked the aura of past matchups. Then we dive deep into Bad Bunny's historic halftime show — the first fully Spanish-language Super Bowl performance. Santo and the crew share what it meant for Caribbean and Latin culture, we rank it against past halftime shows, and address the fake outrage discourse head-on. Plus: who should perform next year? K-pop? Dancehall? Tyler the Creator? For Valentine's week, we run a "Name X Relationships Better Than Goku & Chi-Chi" challenge that gets heated FAST. In this high-fidelity conversation recorded live at the 2026 30A Songwriters Festival in Walton County, Florida, Jrod sits down with one of the most revered voices in American music: Gretchen Peters. Inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and a recipient of the ACM Poet's Award, Gretchen Peters has spent her career deconstructing the human condition. While she is the pen behind legendary hits like Martina McBride's "Independence Day" and Faith Hill's "The Secret of Life," her own discography is a masterclass in "Americanoir"—a blend of folk, country, and dark, literary grit. In this episode, we explore the "Soul and Motion" of her craft, from the viral magic of a family cake recipe to the discipline required to create masterpieces in a culture with a shrinking attention span. The Cultural Blueprint: We start with the lighthearted—the story behind her grandmother's viral cake—before diving into the "dark side" of music. The Art of the Uncomfortable: Gretchen discusses why she is drawn to the shadows of humanity and the necessity of "scratching the surface" of sadness. The Independent Pioneer: Insights into her journey as a trailblazer for independent label status and the evolving music industry. Focus in a Fast World: A deep dive into "quick attention span culture" and the struggle to maintain the ability to sit and focus on long-form art. The Legacy: What Gretchen hopes her art leaves behind when all is said and done. Live Performance: A stunning performance of her song, "Five Minutes." __ Follow Jrodconcerts: Instagram: @Jrodconcertsmedia Website: jrodconcertsmedia.com Learn more about Gretchen Peters: gretchenpeters.com Learn more about your ad choices. Roland Martin is one of the most influential and successful figures in the history of professional bass fishing. A nine-time B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year and winner of 19 Bassmaster tournaments (19 times runner up as well), Martin helped define competitive bass fishing during its formative decades. Known for his versatility, consistency, and deep understanding of bass behavior, he was a dominant force across multiple fisheries and techniques. Beyond competition, Martin expanded the sport's reach through television, most notably as the longtime host of Fishing with Roland Martin, educating and inspiring generations of anglers. Inducted into the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame, his legacy extends far beyond trophies—he is widely regarded as a pioneer who helped turn bass fishing into a modern professional sport. Martin's impact goes well beyond his tournament resume. He developed a scientific, pattern-based approach to bass fishing that was far ahead of its time. Roland became known for adapting quickly to changing conditions and mastering a wide range of techniques, from shallow vegetation to offshore structure. His sustained success helped him become one of the first professional bass anglers to exceed one million dollars in career tournament prize money, a milestone that reflected both his dominance and longevity in the sport. Off the water, Martin played a major role in shaping bass fishing's legacy and credibility. He became the first angler ever inducted into all three major fishing halls of fame: the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame, the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) Fishing Hall of Fame, and the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame. Through television, seminars, and decades of competition across multiple generations, Martin helped elevate bass fishing into a modern professional sport. Today, he is remembered not just as a champion, but as a pioneer whose influence continues to define professional angling.

It's hard to believe after such a successful toy, but Coleco Industries were bankrupt by 1989. The Hartford Courant published numerous full-page stories about what had gone wrong. The Courant reported that "With its revenues dropping and its debt mounting, Coleco faced some critical decisions. Toy industry analysts said the company should have slowed its spending, cut expenses and waited for sales to improve. Instead, Coleco chose to borrow more and spend more, trying to develop a product to rival Cabbage Patch Kids. But the new toys it introduced-Rambo action figures, Furskins stuffed bears, a talking Cabbage Patch doll and Starcom space toys for boys sold only moderately well."
