Welcome to DRR Podcast 102, this week we are pleased to present Dorbachov, Dorbachov is Damien O'Reilly, a London based Techno DJ and Producer from Northern Ireland. Damien's musical journey began from listening to hardcore and techno cassette tapes in the Northern Irish countryside throughout the 90s, to becoming a regular across Ulster's quickly emerging rave scene. Bitten by the bug, Damien knew he needed to be on the other side of the DJ booth - ‘Dorbachov' was born. Several bookings followed and, with his ‘90s influence clearly evident in his sets, it wasn't long before he was offered a residency at the Dublin hotspot ‘So Loco'. After a move to London, Dorbachov changed his focus and direction to the studio. Heavily immersing himself into production, he realised his true potential in formulating clever and energetic live sets. His vocational background was electrical engineering and this is clearly evident in his industrial and calculated sound that would not be a stranger in the clubs of Berlin. Dorbachov's next move was to present his releases to a wider audience. His debut track releasing on the rising label ‘Haute' in 2012. Several further releases followed on favoured labels such as Clutch Trax, Renesanz, Terminus Audio, and Gobsmacked. In 2015 Dorbachov set up ‘Carbyne Records' and released his own album ‘Free State Propaganda' on the imprint with solid reviews including an interview in Ireland's 'Hot Press' magazine. It was in 2016 that Dorbachov moved into the niche area of Live Modular sets. He took these sets and effortlessly formulated them into tracks which were quickly picked up by several reputable labels including Distrackt, Wunderblock, UKR Special series, and Room 2. Dorbachov's talents in the studio have also spread into publishing with a remix for Channel 4's acclaimed cult-series ‘Utopia'. Dorbachov has made a steady return to playing out, with both his Live Hardware and DJ sets of engaging, intelligent heavyweight techno gaining popularity, with bookings across the UK including North London techno institution ‘The Cause'. In 2019 Damien launched his ‘Carbyne Live Transmissions' Radio Show. This has given him an outlet to showcase not only his own talent and personality, but an opportunity to showcase the talents of guests from around the world. It has been a real show of restraint and maturity to enter the industry in the route that he has. Letting his music speak foremost, it is this that has rightly opened the door. With an ever busy release schedule, it is guaranteed to be another huge year for Dorbachov. After our winter break we're back in full flow with Mr ...rude not too himself Stevie Webster, supplying us with his latest studio mix recorded exclusively for us. Stevie fell in love with dance music at an early age after acquiring his first set of turntables at the age of 15. From then, over the following 5 years he spent most of his time (and money) discovering music, collecting a substantial vinyl collection and developing quite a talent for mixing. After getting together with his friends and doing a few small gigs, Stevie was soon recognised and given a massive opportunity to warm up the legend Pete Tong for Radio 1's essential selection after party. He did it well and impressed enough to gain a weekly residency at the once legendary Ice Factory nightclub. It was here that over the following 4 years, Stevie would be exposed to some of the biggest names in the industry, regularly mixing along side the Radio 1 roster, Cream, Hed-kandi, excentric, inside out and the immortal Rhumba Club. He gained the ability to warm up and do it well, under pressure and in front of massive crowds and refined his musical taste to today's more recognisable form of Techno. Now and looking forward to the future you can find Stevie doing his popular "rude not too" podcasts which gain listeners from all around the globe, working on his own music productions and of course Djing with his current, technology embracing set up of Traktor and Maschine. Stevie released his first Original production on Clutch Trax in 2013 with his massive track Origin, followed up by 4 original and remixed tracks on GS records in 2014. https://pro.beatport.com/artist/stevie-webster/312731 https://www.facebook.com/rudenot.too http://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/steviewebster Thanks for listening

Welcome back to the rude not too Podcast. This time we have a special guest mix from Dorbachov taking us through the dark realms of Techno! DORBACHOV (A.K.A.- Damien O Reilly, DOR, DORMAN-8) started Djing in 2000. Starting out as a hard Trance DJ after just nine months of djing he graced the pages of IDJ Magazine's Readers Mixtapes as a runner up under the moniker of Dj DOR. Drawing on influence from such super-clubs as Shine, Thompson's Garage and the excellent Paragon nights in the Art College in Belfast, not to mention Lush (Portrush) and The Met (formerly The Arena) (Armagh) It was not long before he adopted a more forward thinking attitude to his dj sets and music in general and before long fell in love with all things Techno. After playing in some bar/club venues and parties in Belfast he was given a slot in the 2002 Coach, Banbridge Dj Competition and after winning his heat on the first night was beaten in the semi-final. Dorbachov drew on the experience and ever gaining in confidence it wasn't long before he earned a fortnightly residency on www.londonliveanddirect.com which saw him make his way to the English capital on deck duties to host the sunday morning come-down. After a spell away from the scene 2012 saw Dorbachov back with a vengence, since then he has released tracks on; Haute, LW Records, Clutch Trax, Renesanz Records and Direct Drive Digital, receiving support from the likes of: Slam, Sasha Carrassi, Joseph Capriati, L.A.W, Dave The Drummer, Morgan Tomas, Stefano Infusino, Bodyscrub, Forest People, Replikant, D-Kult, Jon Rundell, Christian Kionke, Dani Sbert, A-brothers, MicRoCheep & Mollo, Gabeen, Hefty, & Bas Thomas. From "Spectroscopy", the study of the interaction between matter and radiated energy. Quantic Spectroscopy is the study of the fundamentals of what matter and energy produce in Techno music. For Quantic Spectroscopy, Techno is analyzed as a spectrum of sounds and different types of matter that together combined do the sounds of their mind. Dark ambiences mixed with small rays of colorful sound in other dimensions, creating textures and new physical relations in sound. Scientific, absolute, analytic and above all different in a kind. The dynamic duo is based in a long relationship of two guys (WireTap and Stig) from Oporto, Portugal who want to create and make a difference in the Electronic Music scene with their own specific vision of Techno. They have a lot of influences from well known artists filtering what they most like and giving it a new shape in another dimension just bringing the fundamentals of Techno music. You can find QS in labels like Transmissions, BCR, Heaven to Hell, Gobsmacked, Brickwork, The Zone, Freitag, TMMR, Mechno, Shout Records, Voodoo Records, Impact Musique and a lot more to come!
