Hoy os traigo el caso de un paciente que llegó a consulta con un malestar constante en el estómago: ardor, digestiones pesadas, sensación de hinchazón y cansancio continuo. Decía sentirse “siempre con el estómago revuelto” y sin energía para nada. Había probado protectores gástricos y alguna pauta médica puntual, pero sin cambios duraderos. Al final, decidió buscar ayuda porque sentía que su calidad de vida estaba empeorando.Tiene 39 años, trabaja en una oficina con horario partido y muchas comidas fuera de casa. Vive con su pareja y no tiene hijos. Su día a día era bastante sedentario: trabajo de escritorio, pocas horas de sueño y mucho estrés acumulado. Al llegar a casa por la tarde, lo habitual era “desconectar” con una cerveza y una bolsa de patatas chips. Los fines de semana salía con amigos y bebía alcohol con frecuencia. Por las noches, a menudo picaba frutos secos en grandes cantidades “porque le apetecía algo salado”. ⚕️ Motivo de consulta El motivo principal era el malestar digestivo constante. Describía ardor, reflujo y una sensación de “pesadez eterna”. Además, había ganado unos 6 kilos en el último año. Dormía mal, se levantaba sin hambre y notaba que su estado de ánimo iba decayendo. La palabra que más repetía era “incomodidad”: tanto física como mental. Su diagnóstico médico era gastritis, probablemente agravada por el estrés, el alcohol y los hábitos alimentarios.

Caso real: “Cuando tu cuerpo no responde”PresentaciónHoy os cuento el caso de una paciente de 28 años que vino a consulta completamente frustrada. Me dijo la frase con la que empezamos tantas historias:“Hago dieta, voy al gimnasio y no bajo ni un gramo. Mi cuerpo no me obedece”. Hasta entonces, nadie le había dado una explicación real. Solo había recibido consejos sueltos: “come menos”, “haz más cardio”, “quizá estás estresada”. Pero detrás había algo más: un síndrome de ovario poliquístico no diagnosticado hasta hacía pocas semanas. Contexto personalTrabaja en una oficina, pasa ocho horas al día sentada y, aunque se esfuerza en cuidarse, arrastraba un sentimiento constante de culpa. Vive con su pareja, que no entendía por qué ella estaba siempre tan cansada o tan irritable antes de la menstruación. Sus amigas la animaban a hacer más dieta o a probar suplementos milagro que veían en redes.Motivo de consultaLo que más le dolía no era el acné ni el vello facial —que también—, sino la sensación de perder el control de su cuerpo. Su ciclo menstrual era un caos (entre 40 y 50 días sin regla) y cada intento fallido de perder peso reforzaba la idea de que “no valgo para esto”.Desarrollo en consultaAl revisar su dieta descubrimos que:Había pasado por mil “dietas detox” que solo empeoraban su hambre.Comía bien de lunes a viernes, pero los fines de semana el cansancio y la frustración la llevaban a atracones de pizza y dulces.Su entrenamiento era solo cardio intenso, lo que aumentaba el estrés en lugar de mejorar la sensibilidad a la insulina.El plan fue:✅ Cambiar la visión: no contar calorías, sino equilibrar hormonas y energía.✅ Introducir fuerza progresiva para ganar masa muscular.✅ Regular horarios de comida sin prohibiciones extremas.✅ Reforzar proteína, verduras y grasas saludables, dejando sitio para lo social sin culpa. EvoluciónA los tres meses, la báscula apenas marcaba 4 kg menos.
