Swedish based deejay and techno producer Markus Axelsson aka MarAxe, has established himself as one of the top techno exports from the Swedish techno scene. He has his roots in the early 90´s techno scene were he also started his deejay career. His productions are driven and hard, often with hypnotic influences and he has had a slew of releases entering the Beatport top 100 techno chart. Senga Ep (Planet Rhythm, 2023) and Zulu Ep (Hydraulix, 2024) both made number 1 on the Junodownload bestseller chart just a few days after release. MarAxe is the founder and manager of STØK Recordings. Ever since he was featured on the NL 500 compilation from Naked Lunch records early 2020, he has had releases out on a variety of labels such as Hydraulix,Naked Lunch, Planet Rhythm, Soma, Sway, Kne´Deep, Remain records - Just to name a few. My guest this week lives in Dresden, is a DJ, is a producer and for me is clearly behind the legendary club ‘Strasse E' to which even DJ Rush dedicated his own track at some point. So my guest today is Clark B. He started out in the early 90s as DJ X somewhere in the hardcore and gabba scene, but later changed his mind and discovered trance and techno for himself. At the end of the 90s, he came to house music, a clear change in musical style at the latest. As a result, he specialised somewhere around house and techno and changed his name from then on to ‘Clark B', which he still uses today. Some people, like me, remember events at the legendary Club Strasse E with names like Claude Young, Alan Oldham or DJ Rush. Clark B was behind all of these from 1999 to 2004. Schon als Kind war ich künstlerisch sehr begabt und interessiert. Habe mich in jungen Jahren schon für Kunst & Musik begeistern können. Mit 14 Jahren fing ich an mich für das Auflegen von Elektronischer Musik zu interessieren und fing mit den ersten Schritten zum DJ an. Das Musizieren gab mir vom ersten Augenblick an die Möglichkeit, mich zu verwirklichen, kreativ und frei zu sein. Einfach „Ich“ zu sein! Von der ersten Sekunde an, wurde mir eine neue Welt eröffnet. Meine Begeisterung zur Musik an alle weiter geben zu können. Die Musik wurde schnell ein Teil meines Lebens und ist seitdem auch nicht mehr weg zu denken. Mein erster Club Auftritt war 2010 im Klangkeller Fulda. Sofort war ich begeistert von dem Vibe! Diese gefühlte grenzenlose Freiheit und Energie von den Menschen welche auf die Beats jubelten & tanztenhat mich gefesselt. Kurz nach meinem ersten Auftritt in einem Club folgten schnell weitere Gigs. Ich lege zwei Genres auf einmal Techno & Hard Techno. Mein Sound besteht aus einer Mischung von treibenden, harten, dreckigen, groovigen und Energie geladenen Elementen sowie eigene Produktionen.Ruhr in Love, Rave Rebirth und Nature One (Camp) sind meine größten Bühnenerfolge. Künstler wie DJ Rush, N.O.B.A., Chris Liebing, Ochs & Klick, Tommy Libera, Timo Mandl und viele mehr inspirieren und begeistern mich. Mit dem ein oder anderen der Künstler habe ich die Bühne schon ehrenhaft teilen dürfen wofür ich unendlich dankbar bin.   Erste Schritte zum Produzenten machte ich im Jahr 2012. Die erste Track Produktion kam im Jahr 2014bei „Schallwellen Rec.“ als Reales raus. Nach den ersten Reales, verfeinerte ich mein eigenes Wissen und meinen eigenen Style. Im Jahr 2022 gewann ich mit einem Produktionspartner einen Remix Contest. Der Beworbene Track ist bei „Sinope Recordings“ als Reales veröffentlicht worden. Dezember 2023 kam eine weitere Produktion über„Tunnel Factory“ heraus. Ende 2023 habe ich einen Gigi D´Agostino „bla blabla“ Bootleg veröffentlicht. Dieser Track wurde von N.O.B.A. in den Niederlanden, sowie von Dj Choonin einem Set gespielt.   Aktuell arbeite ich mit „Audio Appear“ zusammen an einem neuen Track. In Zukunft werden weiter Tracks von mir und / oder in Kooperationen erscheinen.   All meine Tracks findet man auf Soundcloud, Spotify, Amazon, Beatport und anderen Anbietern. Wenn ich nicht grade am auflegen oder produzieren bin, leite ich mein Kollektiv Techno Session Hessen.Im Jahr 2019 startete ich dieses Projekt ursprünglich als Techno Session Fulda welches seit Januar 2023 in Techno Session Hessen umbenannt wurde, zur Förderung von Jugend & Kultur. TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ DJ RUSH Isaiah Major aka DJ Rush is an American DJ, producer and entertainer from Chicago. Known for his alias Major Rush, Russian Roulette and The Drum Major. Rush made his way into the DJ business and never limited himself. He quickly found his way to Berlin, Germany and his career kicked off into high gear. Not only have his DJ skills and music selection moved and impressed fans all over the globe, his songs have made such a big impact on the dance scene with anthems like “Mutha Fucking Bass”, “Get On Up”, “I Believe” and the list goes on and on. Starting off with Dance Mania and running the gambit of most every techno label including his very anticipated Vigorous Digital and Kne' Deep Rec.. It becomes obvious why Daft Punk consider DJ Rush a hallmark in the industry, placing him near the start of the list in their seminal track “Teachers”. Rush combines all styles of music he loves, from Jazz, Disco, Funk and Soul to make the events more interesting and keeping the people on their toes. This happens not just within the music, but DJ Rush is the total package. Sometimes dressing up to show his sinister alias Russian Roulette; this what make the big man a strong entertainer and not just a standard disc jockey. Art, Depth, Combination and Future. Carlos Gómez AKA A.S.Y.K from an early age his musical taste leans towards House, then at the age of 13 he begins to experiment with Techno, discovering new sounds. This boy, linked to the electronic scene from a young age by his relatives who served as a great drive and motivation for him, means that he currently manages to have and stand out for a unique style based on House and Techno. He began playing in 2016 at private parties and made his move to local clubs in 2017. At his young age, he has played throughout his short career in the best clubs in the City of San José, Costa Rica to mention a few: Antik, El Wok, Utopia, Cantina SCCA, El Sotano, Amón Solar, CASA House of Beers, Quantico among others and in several regional festivals such as Chepe Joven, NT Festival and Ocaso Festival. His greatest boom was in 2019 when he began to be the Resident DJ of El Wok; with the New Ground Booking collective at the Famous "Clandestinos del Techno" standing out in their presentations with industrial and Detroit sounds. In addition, he shared the stage with Dj Klang who was booked in a special edition of said show. Then at the end of that year he is booked in Mexico City to share the stage with none other than one of the techno legends DJ Rush and other big name artists such as J.Fernandes, Sintoma, Quecho. He has currently been a member of New Ground Booking for 4 years, was a resident of Fnoob Techno Radio with a podcast show and in 2019 he started a small project called Reverbase focused on Deep House - House and Minimal - Breaks. Without a doubt, this multifaceted boy and lover of vinyl who has different Singles on labels such as Lets Techno, Teoría Perfekta, Partyholics, House Box Records and Induxtrial Records, is a new school artist to follow closely. We premiere new techno from one of the most exciting dance music producers coming out of Los Angles right now, 1morning. The rising star releases his debut EP on Fixed Rhythms, showing his innovative production techniques as he harnesses a loop-driven sound that is oozing with 90's flair & syncopated funk. LA based 1morning has been turning heads within the American techno scene as of late, and he's set his sights on conquering European dancefloors. A recent stint on Hör alongside some dates around Europe and some notable appearances across Basement New York, Nowadays and more have been impressing dancers and promoters alike. The young producer has only sprinkled a small bit of music across the techno world but his debut self-released EP ‘TRANSITIONS' was the perfect introduction to his vintage and locked groove style of production. 1morning also boasts a forthcoming split EP with Irish native Céilí on his impront Mála Ádh. Taking inspiration from the likes of Robert Armani, DJ Rush, and more, he captures an old-school style of production that focusses on rhythm, funk and grit. This is no-bullshit, no-business, all-thriller techno for the real ravers. We premiere ‘Signal Flow,' a high-octane and driving piece of 90's inspired techno funk. The surging minimalistic style that 1morning has crafted allows each elements to not only breathe, but shine. This intricate approach to sound selection provides an infectious call & response that makes the loop completely contagious. Sharp stabbing synths that leave traces of vintage Joey Beltram take centre stage, with shuffling high-hats and delayed claps keeping the rhythm pulsing and gripping. Electronic Germany ist zurück – Neue Staffel nach 3 Jahren Pause! DJ Eastenders und Christian Arndt hatten die Ehre und das Vergnügen, zwei sehr unterschiedliche, aber gleichermaßen großartige DJs zu treffen. Am Nachmittag des 1. April – nur Stunden vor ihren Sets bei der Time Warp in Mannheim, standen Rødhåd (Berlin) und DJ Karotte den beiden Hosts Rede und Antwort, und zwar an einem sehr angemessenen Ort, nämlich dem MOMEM, das dieser Tage seinen einjährigen Geburtstag feiert. Wir veröffentlichen die beiden Interviews separat, der Berliner Mike Bierbach aka Rødhåd ist zuerst an der Reihe. Der 1984 in Berlin-Hohenschönhausen geborene Mike Bierbach machte seine ersten Gehversuche als DJ um die Jahrtausendwende mit zwei Versandhaus-Plattenspielern und einem billigen Mixer aus dem "Elevator"-Katalog. "Schranz" heißt das musikalische Gebot der Stunde, Ben Sims und Speedy J sind Vorbilder, die harten, schnellen Beats von Chris Liebing und DJ Rush inspirieren den Teenager bald zu eigenen Tracks, erst am Computer, später dann auf amtlichen Hardware-Synths. Mit seiner "Dystopian"-Clubnacht im Arena Berlin erspielt er sich ab 2009 eine wachsende Fangemeinde, 2012 erscheinen seine ersten EPs auf dem eigenen Label, das ebenfalls Dystopian heißt. "1984" nimmt Bezug nicht nur auf sein Geburtsjahr, sondern mit Tracktiteln wie "Newspeak" und "Thoughtcrime" auch sehr direkt auf George Orwells gleichnamigen Roman. Zu dieser Zeit spielt er bereits im Berghain, das er weniger wegen der legendären "Funktion One"-Anlage, sondern seiner einzigartigen Akustik besonders schätzt. Auf der Time Warp in Mannheim spielt er erstmals 2015. 2017 gründet er sein zweites Label WSNWG, auf dem er Kollaborationen mit befreundeten Künstlerinnen und Künstlern veröffentlicht. In Frankfurt hat er auch schon gespielt, u.a. im Tanzhaus West, und am 1. April 2023 hatte er seine entspannt freundliche Attitude, gute Laune und exklusive neue Edits für die Time Warp im Gepäck.
