The guard suffered a puncture wound and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was treated and released. The inmate is serving a life sentence for murder and has been transferred to a maximum security prison.The City of St. Paul has released details about a cyberattack that began more than two weeks ago. The city shut down its computer network, which included internet access at libraries, as a preventative measure.Some state lawmakers are vowing to drop political dialogue that could incite violence. A committee updating statewide K-12 health education standards is moving forward with revisions. More than 3,000 people attended CannaCon over the weekend, a cannabis convention in St. Paul with vendors looking to enter Minnesota's new cannabis market. The state's population of blue-winged teal dropped 60 percent from a year ago, likely due to drought conditions in the southern part of the state.

In a disturbing incident at the Clark County Jail in Indiana, former corrections officer David Lowe sold keys to the female section of the jail to male inmates for $1,000 each on October 23, 2021. This led to a "night of terror" where male inmates gained access to the women's cells and reportedly assaulted multiple female inmates.Lowe has been arrested and faces charges of aiding escape, official misconduct, and trafficking with an inmate. He was immediately fired after the incident. The women involved have filed a federal lawsuit against Lowe, Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel, and other jail officers, citing systemic failures in security and staffing as contributing factors to the attack.The lawsuit alleges that no jail officers intervened during the attack and that subsequent punitive measures were taken against the women, such as revoking their "dark privileges," placing them on lockdown, and confiscating personal items. Inmate 38 year old Casey White and corrections officer Vicky White began a romantic relationship that dated back to 2020.  When Casey was brought back to the county jail after being sent to a maximum security prison after being found in possession of a shank, he cozied up to Vicky (again!) and in two months' time, the two were fugitives, on the run, as Vicky was able to successfully help Casey escape from the jail.  The two took investigators on an 11 manhunt which ended two states away in a car crash and a single shot being fired. A Prison guard is being charged with selling a key to the women's section of the lock up to male prisoners who then, it is alleged in the complaint, gained access to that wing of the jail where they abused, assaulted and even raped some of the female prisoners. Dom is the only child to immigrant parents from Italy, all about the ideas and practice of morals. He started his career in Law Enforcement in 1997 as a juvenile detention officer then became a Hudson county Corrections Officer. In 2000 he graduated from Essex County police Academy, as a Hudson County Sheriff Officer, the following year in 2001 took his oath as a  Bayonne Police Officer During his career as a BPD he encountered many stressful moments. Part 2Mike Arena began his law enforcement career in 2011 at 19 years of age starting out as a Special Law Enforcement Officer with the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department. He was then hired by The New Jersey Department of Corrections and became a Corrections Officer and worked in multiple prisons throughout the state. After a few years of working in corrections, Mike became a police officer with Prince George's County Police Department located in Maryland. In 2017, he transferred back to New Jersey where he worked as a Police Officer with the Stockton University Police Department. During that time, Mike was elected to Join the Atlantic County New Jersey Regional S.W.A.T Team. After seeking advancement, Mike made his final transfer over to the Ventnor City Police Department. While serving the citizens of Ventnor City, Mike was unfortunately involved in a fatal officer-involved shooting. Over his 10-year career, Mike has received multiple awards and commendations including The New Jersey Meritorious Service Valor Award, Life Saving award, and several letters of recognition and of appreciation from several law enforcement organizations.
