   The Olathe City Council approved a 165 acre area for a local STAR bond district to be the new corporate home and practice facility for the Kansas City Chiefs.  This was a no-brainer for Olathe.  Officials held a meeting in WYCO as well on Tuesday and will vote to approve their local area for STAR bonds on Thursday.  They say it's small and only includes the new Chiefs area.  We'll see how bit the state of Kansas bond district is somewhere down the road.    It's ticking me off that KSU media and fans are just now on board with what I told them three years ago... Jerome Tang is an awful basketball coach.  Nothing personal, I wouldn't be any good at it either.  But with an $18 million buyout, these people are focusing on the wrong man. AD Gene Taylor is the person that should be fired and they should cut off all funding to Tang and let him lose horribly for at least another year.  Oh, I've got the right plan for KSU but who knows if anyone in charge is ballsy enough to pull the trigger. And all the KSU media types that have ripped me for three years over this... Today's Headlines: The federal government is currently shut down after Congress failed to pass a spending bill by Friday's deadline, though Speaker Mike Johnson claims the shutdown could end as soon as tomorrow. Even so, the funding lapse barely registered amid a flood of other major news. On Friday morning, journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort were arrested following their coverage of an anti-ICE protest at a Minneapolis church, despite both repeatedly stating they were there in a journalistic capacity — a development that raised serious press freedom concerns. Around the same time, federal records identified the two immigration agents involved in the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, adding more scrutiny to ICE and CBP operations. There was at least one rare piece of good news: 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos and his father were released from an immigration detention center in Texas and returned home to Minneapolis after a judge ordered their release. That decision stood in stark contrast to reports that ICE allowed a suspect in the $100 million Brinks jewelry heist to be deported while continuing to detain families with young children. Elsewhere, the DOJ released more than 3.5 million pages of heavily redacted Epstein files, signaling that no new indictments are expected. President Trump also sued the IRS for $10 billion over leaked tax returns, promoted new Trump-branded savings accounts for children, announced plans to shut down the Kennedy Center for two years, and capped off the week as Democrats scored a surprise victory in a deep-red Texas state Senate district. LAPD Robbery-Homicide arrested Neo Langston—D4VD's close friend known online as NeoTheAsian—at his mother's home in Montana for failure to appear before the grand jury investigating the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. He's now in an LA jail on $60,000 bail. He's not the first witness prosecutors have had to chase down. A female witness went into hiding in December and faced a body attachment order. Manager Robert Morgenroth admitted under oath his priority was keeping D4VD's tour going, not calling police. The grand jury continues hearing witnesses through February 2026, and sources say prosecutor Beth Silverman is building toward murder charges. But what does the physical evidence actually reveal? A chainsaw still in its protective sheath. A burn cage incinerator capable of 1,600 degrees—boxed, unopened. Both discovered inside the Hollywood Hills home where D4VD was living when Celeste's dismembered body was found in his Tesla last September. Private investigator Steve Fischer's assessment: "Whatever happened here, this wasn't a finalized plan. She was not meant to be left in that Tesla. The plan got upended." Stephen is a member of Holocaust Survivors Against Genocide. Stephen lost 15 members of his extended family in the Holocaust and his father was interned in Belsen & Theresienstadt. He settled in London but when he visited Israel was “shocked” by the racism exhibited by Israelis, including his relatives who had also survived the Holocaust. Stephen joined The Labour Party in 1997, becoming an activist and office-holder at various local levels. Stephen resigned from the Labour party, after penning a widely circulated letter, after the Labour party warned him they would “investigate” him if he spoke at a leftist organization on Holocaust Memorial Day. He is a member of Camden branch of PSC (Palestine Solidarity Campaign), Camden & Islington Momentum (affiliate of the Labour Party) and lately of the small network ‘Holocaust Survivors and Descendants Against Genocide.' Haim Bresheeth Zabnner was Professor of Media and Cultural Studies at University of East London and then a Professorial Research Associate at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).He is Filmmaker, photographer, film studies scholar, and historian. His films include “A State of Danger,” a documentary on the first Palestinian Intifada. His books include "An Army Like No Other: How the Israel Defense Force Made a Nation." Haim is the son of two Holocaust survivors and was raised in Israel. He is a member of Holocaust survivors and Descendents Against the Genocide and a founding member of Jewish Network for Palestine. On November 4, Haim was arrested over a speech he gave at a pro Palestine demonstration outside the residence of Israeli ambassador Tzipi Hotovely in north London. Greg Stoker is a former United States Army Ranger. He has a background in special operations and human intelligence collection. He conducted 4 combat deployments to Afghanistan during the unfortunately named “Global War On Terror” and is now an anti-war activist, host of the Colonial Outcasts Podcast, and analyst at MintPress News. Mouin Rabbani is a researcher, analyst & commentator specializing in Palestinian affairs, the Arab-Israeli conflict & the contemporary Middle East.
