Reading my new book, "The Dimly Lit Star" with my Mom! We'll celebrate the launch of “The Dimly Lit Star,” a book that's a piece of my heart and a testament to the incredible strength and optimism of my mom Debi Hines, who guided me through the trials of childhood bullying. This book is my heartfelt thank you to her, my beacon of hope, and it serves as an inspiration for children everywhere to discover their light in the darkness.
Because I (Cutter) am sick and tired of getting texts to remind people to turn their lights on, so let me say it once and for all, TURN YOUR LIGHTS ON!
The Columbus police make a surprise visit to Cleveland, and one of the surviving reporters who covered the murders of Mary Petry and Bill Sproat in 1970 shares details on the cold case. A forensic pathologist reviews the autopsy and coroner's reports to reveal possible discrepancies in the case.

In a first of firsts all present hosts of the podcast are sober and completely coherent. Every now and then one of the Ladies of the Lounge will abstain simply because they are being responsible and may need to operate a vehicle. But Sunshine is always at home and rarely has to worry about the dangers of driving under the influence. Don’t worry. We still have a good time and have plenty to talk about including some local rum and syrups to help craft our next cocktails.
Andrew and Nate now review Dimly Lit for the second part of their two episode series on the album. On Part 2 they spend time elaborating on things they’ve noticed now having listened to the album more times than they can count.
My perception is deeply flawed. So I must try everyday to lay down my fear and pride and ask for help. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/this.is.M/support

Did you guys see the big cow? After Pete recovers from his awe at that absolute unit, Dane talks about being a guest on Dimly Lit. The guys discuss their plans for the movie adaptation of Kafka's The Metamorphosis with full trilogy potential, before moving on to another hot internet topic regarding a girl with an odd name, and her mother who thinks she's clever. Elsewhere, Dane admits to his former status as a Nice Guy™ with Music's Burning Question this week, ending with the guys solving the internet's biggest food related disputes, once and for all. Finally, Dane's LAME about Notoriously Bad Movies, and things get heated about one of the selections.
Due to some funk that settled in on ya boi Pete Elite, we've decided to take the week off, to rest and recover. But that doesn't mean we're totally gone, we somehow managed to talk the wonderful hosts of Dimly Lit into letting Dane in on the show. Assuming they were able to stomach his pompous demeanor, the episode should be going live on Tuesday, so check them out! http://www.dimlylit.libsyn.com/ iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/dimly-lit/id1283809231?mt=2 Twitter: https://twitter.com/dimlylitcast
The Local Wave: Conversations with the Nashville Underground
A conversation with Carson LaCava of Beggar. Carson is a fresh-faced singer-songwriter that has a relatable story. He's just a kid who is trying to make it. I feel like a lot of people could see themselves in him. My band Overwatcher had the privilege to play Beggar's release show for My Home is a Candle, Dimly Lit at that 70's house earlier this year. Be sure to check out that EP on Bandcamp Become a supporter of The Local Wave at patreon.com/thelocalwave Follow us on social media @thelocalwave BE A FAN OF YOUR FRIENDS AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER
Genghis Kahn's empire killed 2/3 of Northern China, but people under his rule knew unrivaled gender equality and religious freedom. Mother Teresa gave aid to the poor, but also encouraged their suffering. Spiky cacti sometimes contain life-sustaining water, and even the most beautiful roses have thorns. We’re all some mix of good and bad. Thanks to our special guests Dimly Lit podcast. Reach out and touch Moxie on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Music by Kevin MacLeod. The last in our series of guest shows has us talking with the wonderful ladies of the Dimly Lit podcast, Carleigh Houghtling and Katrina Schroeder! Pete takes some time to join us for the show so Dane basically geeks out on how much he enjoys their work. We talk about what makes classic literature and why fan-fiction is better, Carleigh deigns to give us some recommendations. Katrina announces the next few books coming up on Dimly Lit before trashing Twilight. Elsewhere, Dane reveals his feelings on the highly relevant Backstreet vs N*Sync debate, and shares a story of being a total nerd in high school, while Carleigh misconstrues the "60's." Pete shows up and talks D&D with Katrina and we wind down with thoughts on Harry Potter and Shia LeBeouf. Also... GAY PRETTY SKATE BOIS!
In this week's episode, the ladies give advice on what to spend on engagement rings —plus nagging from @CrazyJewishMom about Kate not being any closer to getting a ring on her finger — and taking your first date somewhere open and crowded in case they're a murderer ... or boring as s**t. Also, more Time's Up Bros!! On today’s episode, we put on our robes and wizard hats to bring you a fantasy-themed special! Villians, heroes, dragons, bards–this show has it all. This is not strictly jazz or manouche or even 'world music'. I am thinking single malt whisky, cigarette, trying to decipher a conversation two tables away, but you can only hear every other word, in French, but it sounds controversial and intriguing. This is pensive, moody, romantic, intimate, tragic. Enjoy. xx Canyella
