Hold on to your pointy hats! A whole series on witches, witch craft, fiber, and folklore! What more could you ask for this Fall? Here at the Rumpel and the Frog Show we have some burning questions at stake (see what I did there?) about everything we ever wanted to know about witches, their craft, and how it might relate to ours. We plan to take these questions wherever they lead us throughout the whole season. Rumpel begins with a historical overview of good witches and bad witches: which witch was it? Tune in to to find out! Next, Frog explores the iconography associated with witches, too. Plus, we warm up this episode with our WIP's, a fun game of association, and some swooning over the yarns we've been stitching with. So, here's to a season full of witches and stitches! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/no353l5/message
The 2021 Ohio State football season has been much more unpredictable than most previous ones in Columbus. The emergence of young stars has completely changed the Buckeye team in the span of a month, but not every older player is necessarily happy about it.And the defense has been a lot more effective after a big change to the coaching staff, but that could lead to significant fallout after the season as well. Buckeye Scoop's Tony Gerdeman joins host Tom Orr to tackle five burning questions about this years Ohio State team, including some that could impact a number of future seasons to come.

This week, you get the second ever Spotty Awards as we look at our game of the year 2021 (so far) picks, it's time for the last ever Mystery Steam Reviews, and we've got a load of Burning Questions to get through. The PC Gaming Weekspot was the only PC video games podcast you needed in your life if you were looking for some lovely PC gaming news and some wonderful PC gameplay. Thanks for listening and watching. After countless Xbox Game Pass plugs, a lot of Dooming, and the arrival and subsequent disappearance of Greta Surname, The PC Gaming Weekspot is coming to an end. But, before we go, there's time to highlight some of our favourite games of 2021. While our very fancy awards show makes up the majority of this final episode, it would be a shame not to include Huw Edwards. This week's Headlines & Hot Takes focuses on all the rumours surrounding some Konami comebacks. Silent Hill, Metal Gear, and Castlevania are all slated to be returning, so we chat about that for a bit. And then we talk about being used... Tech Corner really is a haven for hardware news. Because we won't be around at year's end, the second ever Spotty Awards has been brought forward a few months. So, listen to us chat about some of our favourites from the last nine or ten months. This week's Mystery Steam Reviews focuses on video games that were released in 2021. And we round out the show by opening The Weekspot mailbag to answer your Burning Questions on loads of stuff. But it's mainly you lovely listeners and viewers saying nice things. One final note: if you did happen to listen or watch any episodes of our little podcast, thank you very much. The Colorado Avalanche have struggled to get beyond the 2nd round of the playoffs in the last three years. Last year they had their best opportunity to do so and fell flat against Vegas. The Golden Knights aren't going anywhere and likely will be the Avs biggest challenge in getting to the Cup Finals. Is this the year the Avs finally make it and potentially win the Stanley Cup? Also the Avalanche were in action for their 2nd game of the preseason against the Minnesota Wild. A lot of people want to tag the Avalanche as a not so physical team, which an argument can be made for that, but there is a difference between being a physical team and being the most physical team in the league. The Avs don't need to be that team. They aren't built that way. But having a more physical presence is something they needed to address. Did they? Next, The Hockey Writers discuss three bold predictions for the Avalanche this season, one that is sure to get a discussion going. I throw my own bold prediction into the mix for this upcoming season and it's a good one. Finally, all our thoughts are with Peter McNab. The color commentator for the Avs announced he was diagnosed with cancer, but he will battle through and continue to call games for the Avs this season. We are ALL pulling for you Peter. Welcome to the brand new season of Practice Leadership focused on the burning questions that the physical therapy industry is facing today. On the first episode, Larry Benz is joined by our very own Adriaan Louw, PT, PhD, to discuss digital therapeutics in the physical therapy industry. They define what exactly digital therapeutics is, how digital therapeutics can impact your clinic and how to make digital therapeutics effective. Dr. Louw's favorite ways to utilize digital therapeutics in your practice are mobile apps and virtual reality as follow ups and homework after physical therapy sessions. Will, Ty, and Brantley dive in to their list of questions heading into training camp and preseason, including Jaren Jackson Jr.'s extension and upside, starting lineup decisions, Ja Morant's trajectory, Brandon Clarke + De'Anthony Melton's potential, Ben Simmons talk, and much more!
The Avalanche trotted out a handful of their up and coming prospects to face a Vegas Golden Knights team that was playing their second preseason game, and thus, more predominant players. But the rookies held their own and held a 3rd period lead that they gave away in a 4-3 loss. Some things to work on (0-7 on the PP) but a lot of good things to take away from a hard fought loss. Also, today is day three of our Five Burning Questions facing the Avalanche this season. Today, ironically, I'll talk about how much the Avalanche will rely upon their prospects. So, the main point of discussion on this week's podcast is the Outer Wilds: Echoes Of The Eye DLC. Talking about it is tricky, because saying pretty much anything about it feels spoiler-y. Christ, I'm trying to be careful writing this blurb in case I say something that I shouldn't. But, somehow, I think we managed to talk about it, without talking about it. Know what I mean? We're thankful for the Outer Wilds DLC, because it sure was a quiet news week. There's a bit of chatter on the Deathloop stuttering issues, and whether Titanfall 3 will be a thing or not, but it's all a bit muted until the Donkey Konga bongos are brought up, really. So, Matthew's put a decent few hours into the Echoes Of The Eye DLC, and as already referenced, is able to tell me what he thought of it without telling me much about the game. In return, I tell him about my time with the very stylish Sable. This week's Mystery Steam Reviews focuses on video game spinoffs. Like any off season, players will come and players will go. The Avalanche had a close knit group of players but even that is not enough to keep guys together. The Avalanche lost guys like Philipp Grubauer and Brandon Saad to free agency, Joonas Donskoi to an expansion draft and Ryan Graves to a trade. Are the guys they brought in good enough to replicate what guys like that offered? I also take a look at Nazem Kadri, who made his first press conference of training camp. The hit that got him suspended was obviously brought up and Naz talked about putting it behind him. One thing for sure is he has the support of his teammates and his coaches. While I'm not so concerned about his physical play, there is one thing I am concerned about. Finally, the Avs worked a lot on their special teams during practice Monday. One surprising addition to the top power play unit was J.T. Compher. Why that may be the Avs only choice. Tune in and subscribe! Each day this week I will be taking a look at 5 burning questions facing the Colorado Avalanche this season. Today we start with the Avalanche and injuries that have hurt them more than any other team the past couple years.....or have they? Injuries happen in all sports, but for the Colorado Avalanche they seem to find their players more than others the past couple years. The Avs will have injuries again this season. It's inevitable. But can they keep those injuries to a minimum and not lead the league in missed games due to injury? I also get you updated on how things are going with the Avalanche training camp thus far. The top line looks...like the top line. Nichushkin is ready to step into a top 6 role, and what youngsters are ready to step in? Finally, I want to hear from you on who you think the Avs rival is outside of the Wester Conference. Is it still the Red Wings or is it a team that is on the same standings level of the Avs? After getting a taste last week, both myself and Matthew have spent the last few days in Blackreef. We've been enjoying doing the same things over and over. Yeah, Deathloop is pretty good. Before we chat about our looping adventures in Arkane's FPS, we discuss the recently leaked Nvidia GeForce Now list. You're not going to win any prizes for guessing that some of these games will come to PC, but the prospect of others is a little bit more exciting. I mean, I know I could really go for some Titanfall 3. But, it is all pure speculation at this point. But, everyone loves a bit of that, anyway, don't they? For the second week in a row, the game that makes up the majority of our conversation is Deathloop. We've both played it now and mostly agree it is a belter. There are a few minor caveats, but overall it's one you should definitely make time for. Also, I've been playing Kena: Bridge Of Spirits. And, yeah, The Rot are definitely the highlight. Yes, we all know the game has a very cool look, and all of us enjoy playing a good time loop game, but what actually is Deathloop? Thankfully, Matthew's played the first few hours and is here to enlighten both you and I. But, before we chat about Colt Vahn's day, we get into the biggest news stories over the last week. The most notable thing, really, is that there was a PlayStation Showcase filled with lovely PC-related tidbits. We're getting a KOTOR remake, Forspoken seems decent, and the two most recent Uncharted games are on their way to PC. Also, Alan Wake Remastered is out quite soon. That's nice. Deathloop dominates chat in this week's Show and Tell. While Matthew hasn't played through the game yet – the two of us will be playing it over the next week – he's really enjoyed his first few hours. A lot more stealthy sneakiness in this one than the trailers let on. Matthew also goes through his thoughts on musical platformer The Artful Escape, and I chat a bit about my time with pleasant photography game Toem. No Mystery Steam Reviews this week sadly as the recording went haywire, but we'll have a make good next week. Welcome back to another episode of the Not So Wimpy Entrepreneur Podcast! Have you ever thought about creating a course? What stopped you? Feeling like no one would buy it? Teachers couldn't afford it? You not being qualified? I dealt with all those thoughts too, and guess what? None of them turned out to be true! I want to tell you the story of how I decided to create a course in the hopes that it helps you to create yours, and I've brought my friend Bobby Klinck along to help me. In this episode, we're switching things up, and he's interviewing me! We're starting back before I ever thought about creating a course and then going through what led me to create a course, what that was like, and what I learned along the way. Episode 85 Takeaways: + If people ask you a lot of questions about something, it might be a sign that you could create a course about it. + Just because something seems obvious to you, doesn't mean it's obvious to other people. + Your audience needs your help. + It's natural to experience imposter syndrome. + You don't need to write at a high academic level. + You don't need to be good with tech to launch a course. + Your audience needs you to go back to basics. + Don't base your price off of other people's prices. Base it off of your audience. + Get the right people in your audience and build relationships with them. Chatting with Bobby is so much fun. I hope that you enjoy getting to know him a little bit in this episode all about courses. If you've been on the fence about creating a course, I hope that my story is inspiring to you! Double Fine did it: they made a sequel to Psychonauts that's great. And different, too. It's a follow-up with modern day sensibilities that plays much better than the original. Given that it was one of our most anticipated games of the year, it's fair to say we're quite pleased. Another enjoyable thing is that news happened over the last week. Great for anyone that does a podcast that revolves around current events in video games. While Volition haven't officially announced it yet, Geoff Keighley appears to be gearing up to reveal a Saints Row reboot at Gamescom, so we go into what we imagine that might look like. And Sledgehammer Games is going to World War II with Call Of Duty: Vanguard, but it sounds like they haven't totally concerned themselves with historical accuracy. Psychonauts 2 chat takes up most of the runtime on this week's show, though. It's not like we didn't have issues with the game, but those quibbles pale in comparison to how much we enjoyed it. It's a cracker that you should most definitely play. Another game we talk about that you could probably skip is Twelve Minutes. A cool idea, but not marvellous in execution. This week's Mystery Steam Reviews is all about video games that are either set on the moon or have a moon level. And we round out the show by opening The Weekspot mailbag to answer your Burning Questions on underrated gems, conventions, and cartoon games. 00:00 Intro 03:25 Information Snacks For Your News Gobs 07:38 Saints Row Reboot News Coming At Gamescom 20:04 Call Of Duty: Vanguard officially announced last week 31:25 Psychonauts 2 Review 56:37 Twelve Minutes Review 1:12:53 Mystery Steam Reviews 1:36:46 Burning Questions

We tackle a variety of your questions today including how Jesse felt leaving his job as an attorney, which of us handles the bills and budgeting, how arguing between us pretty much always indicates a deeper issue, and our personalities. The cuties asked their followers for questions to answer on the pod, and once again, the Riled Uppers did not disappoint. We're getting into everything from tramp stamps to mental health to wake-up songs to mini sandwiches. But first, Matt shares one of the drunk stories submitted after last week's episode, and it leads to a very important question: why do drunk people just love getting naked? There is lots of motorboating involved in our first drunk story submission and it will make you want to go on a trip with your friend group immediately. Matt and Arielle also get into PDA on social media, what Matt looks like while he's peacefully sleeping, and why zero gravity tattooing is their next hot business idea. See you next Tuesday! You can find Arielle on the 'gram @Arielle and Matt @MattCutshall. Please be sure to rate, review, and follow so we can continue to get riled! Thank you to our sponsor for this week's episode!
