Super Bowl Sunday has come and gone, and the crew is here to cover all the angles from the Chiefs remarkable victory. The current (and depressing) state of Cyclone basketball was also discussed, including future bright spots (Zion Griffin, Trae Jackson) and current concerns (George Conditt, inability to finish games, fan anguish). This week’s Wide Right Moneyline covered betting on the Super Bowl in all facets - how you should have bet the big game, interesting proposition bets, bad beats, and how us “experts” made out on our betting. You’ll also love this week’s Movie Minute, where a robust discussion of Quentin Tarantino films was had. This included analysis (and spoilers?) of his newest film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”, debating the merits of Jackie Brown, and a “top 3 Tarantino movie” discussion.Last but certainly not least, the crew tried to decide which was more embarrassing to our great state of Iowa: Kelsey from the Bachelor or the Iowa Caucuses. Tune in to find out!
Jake and Matthias sit down and talk all things NBA, including the Raptors winning their first NBA title. What does Kawhi do from here? Is he packing his bags to head to Los Angeles already? Matthias thinks that maybe Talen Horton Tucker can fit in with Toronto. The NBA Draft is tonight and three Cyclones will be hoping to hear their name called. Talen Horton Tucker looks to be the only one who will be drafted and he could be anywhere from a late first round pick to an early second round pick. Jake really hopes that he does not end up on the Bulls and he has a few teams in mind that may be able to help his game out.The guys touch really quick on the first weekend of the Cap City League. Matthias thinks that George Conditt may be developing a jump shot that could propel his game to new heights next season. Matthias also asked Jake if he though Terrance Lewis was going to make an impact next season for Iowa State and if he doesn't, is it the end for him at Iowa State? As always, thanks for listening and we also want to thank our sponsor Es Tas Bar and Grill.

These podcasts during the fall months are meant to be heavy on football conversations. Steve Prohm didn’t get the memo. He left Levi and Austin no choice but to discuss the recent recruiting news. Three out of the last four weeks we’ve been able to welcome a new member to the 2018 Iowa State basketball recruiting class. This week it was George Conditt, a 6’10” center from Illinois. Prohm finally got the e-mails, tweets and messages from fans telling him to recruit tall guys! It worked! Just kidding, you weren’t the reason they reeled this one in so stop sending him notes you creeper. We discussed how big it would be for Prohm to finish off the 2018 class with Talen Horton-Tucker. National Championship or bust in our honest opinion. Finally, we shifted gears to our Iowa State Cyclones football team. What the hell happened Thursday night and were there any positives you should take from that game? We’ve predicted wins in every game to this point, did either of us have the cajones to call our shot against Oklahoma? Not so fast my friends. Don’t forget to join the WRNL Gamewatch Saturday morning at Es Tas. There will be beer and tacos. What more could you want? As always thanks for listening.
