Hour 1 We're used to Feel Good Fridays around here but today is a Feel Good Monday with the Rangers advancing, the Knicks taking a 3-1 series lead and the Mets and Yankees both winning on Sunday. Jalen Brunson and Boomer's guy Precious Achiuwa were big factors in the Knicks win. Tom Thibodeau has pushed all the right buttons in this series and proven all the doubters wrong. Gio says Joel Embiid is like a boxer who knows he is about to get knocked out so he starts to fight dirty. Embiid's reputation has taken a tremendous hit in this series. Boomer is happy and giddy today. Boomer says Jalen Brunson's game 4 was a top 5 Knicks playoff performance of all-time. Boomer expects a big change for the Rangers if they play the Hurricanes in the second round. CLo is in for Jerry today and is here for his first update. The Knicks took a 3-1 lead in Philly with plenty of Knicks fans in the building and the style of play reminded Boomer and Gio of the 90s. Boomer says Brunson also reminds him of Walt “Clyde” Frazier. The Knicks finally have “the guy” in Jalen Brunson and nobody saw that coming. Gio says Joel Embiid is a losing player and Boomer says he is closer to a whiner than a winner. Boomer isn't  happy about a tweet from WIP. Artemi Panarin's PP goal was the winner as the Rangers swept the Capitals. In the final segment of the hour, Gio shares how he was a guest bartender during the Knicks game and the crowd was awesome while Boomer discusses final preparations for the bike race this Sunday. Hour 2 Gio asks Boomer if he'd rather see the Hurricanes have a long series against the Islanders or win game 5 and have a similar amount of time off as the Rangers. Boomer points out that the favorites are dominating in the Eastern Conference playoffs as the Islanders will try to buck that trend. Boomer and Gio can't wait to see how the Garden crowd treats Embiid tomorrow. Nick Nurse, Joel Embiid and the Sixers have classic loser's mentality. This is a throwback series because of how much these teams dislike each other. Gio says Richard Jefferson is a clear Knicks hater on the broadcast but Boomer isn't so sure. CLo returns for an update and starts with Jalen Brunson giving credit to his teammates defense rather than his offense in Sunday's win. Brunson has Boomer so excited he's thinking about Mark Messier. Kevin Durant and the Suns got swept. The Rangers are onto round 2. Would Boomer go to an Islanders playoff game? Mark Vientos walked it off for the Mets. In the final segment of the hour, the guys discuss how Knicks and Rangers fans traveled well in the first round. Hour 3 Daniel Jones will be the Giants starter this season. Gio says he's prepared for the situation because of the uncertainty he dealt with before proving himself in 2022. Boomer and Gio agree that the Giants will need a little more leadership from Jones this season. They could end up in QB no-man's land after this year. CLo returns for an update but first we hear from a caller who admits to Boomer he was wrong last week. Jalen Brunson commented on the crowd and Tom Thibodeau got back on track after almost sounding like he was taking a victory lap too early. Mark Vientos walked-it off for the Mets. The Yankees scored 15 runs for the second game in a row and Aaron Judge homered in both games. In the final segment of the hour, we wonder if Daniel Jones can win comeback player of the year this NFL season. The Rangers have what it takes to win. Hour 4 It's natural for Knicks and Rangers fans to think ahead right now. The Bucks are dealing with injuries so it looks like the Pacers will advance. Boomer expects to see Filip Chytil back for the Rangers in the second round. We get more details of how Knicks fans took over Philly but did they cross a line? Boomer has some big show announcements. He has extended his contract with Audacy, our agreement with CBS Sports Network has been extended and Boomer has stepped away from The NFL Today. Boomer thanks all of the people he worked with over the years. CLo returns for his final update of the morning and starts with the Knicks fans getting very loud when Joel Embiid missed a big free throw late in the game. Gio is a big fan of Anthony Edwards and sees shades of Michael Jordan in Ant-Man's game. Colts GM Chris Ballard ranted about sources who anonymously rip the character of players in the pre-draft process. New Giants QB likes to refer to himself in the third person. Chris “Mad Dog” Russo had trouble pronouncing Rome Odunze. The Moment of The Day involves Gio comparing CBS Sports Radio's Andrew Perloff to something you would see outside of a car dealership. In the final segment of the show, Boomer and Gio discuss the awkward situation they just experienced with a visitor during the break.

Spike Eskin is the VP of programming for WFAN and CBS Sports Radio and the host of a popular basketball podcast called “The Rights to Ricky Sanchez”. Given the proliferation of ultra-trail running media coverage in recent years, I figured this would be a good time to talk with an expert in sports programming and commentary from the major sports world that we can take lessons and insights from to bring back to our growing world. Whether you're an athlete, a fan, a race director, a brand manager, or a media operator yourself, I think you'll have many takeaways from this one. And as always, I'd love to continue the conversation and hear those thoughts. Hour 1 Once again we are coming on the air after a terrible performance by a NY football team. The Giants lost to the Seahawks 24-3. Boomer heard something disturbing on the broadcast. Troy Aikman said he talked to Brian Daboll and he said that he's always fired up for the games, he just has to get Daniel Jones fired up. We all thought Daboll could turn Jones into Josh Allen, but they are completely different types of guys. Daniel Jones got paid based on the playoff game against the Vikings, who had the worst defense in the league. Boomer called last night a Daniel Jones non-leadership game. Gio said Daniel Jones ‘has been a wet noodle ever since he got here'. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with the 97 yard interception return for a TD that put the Seahawks up 21-3. Daniel Jones talked about what went wrong there. Brian Daboll said the entire night was terrible. Rob Saleh talked about Zach Wilson's back shoulder throws. The Mets introduced David Stearns to the media and he sounds like Brodie Van Wagenen. The MLB playoffs start today. It was media day for NBA teams and Jerry had some of the audio. Jimmy Butler showed up in a Jennifer Aniston haircut. In the final segment of the hour, people were asking Boomer if the Mets really had Buck Showalter announce his own firing.  Hour 2 Gio called last night's Giants' loss to Seattle a ‘blood bath'. Almost every team in the NFL has offensive line issues so we can't keep going to that. Boomer said if they didn't turn the ball over 3 times it would have been a much tighter game. Brian Daboll was furious at Daniel Jones for the pick-6. Gio said this whole thing with the Giants is getting old. One good year, then a bad year. This game was a total regression for Daniel Jones. It was everything we saw from him early in his career. Jerry is here for another update and starts with Carl Banks calling a play ‘shameful tackling'. Rob Saleh explains how much Zach Wilson has gone through in his career. The Mets introduced David Stearns to the media. The MLB playoffs start today. Knicks Head Coach Tom Thibodeau met the media and talked about starting all over again. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer tells us how great Josh Allen was this week against the Dolphins. Gio thinks he offended somebody at Boomer's golf tournament yesterday.  Hour 3 Maggie & Perloff are doing mornings now that DA has moved on from CBS Sports Radio. Gio hears them prepping their show in the morning and it's really throwing him off. It's abuzz with energy and he wants it to be tranquil again. The Giants lost last night and are now 1-3 with 1-5 staring them in the face. We thought they were a playoff team but last night showed us otherwise. Boomer said if Brian Daboll had hair, he'd be pulling it out. Jerry returns for an update and starts with Daniel Jones' fumble that led to a Seahawks TD. The Giants offensive line gave up 11 sacks. Rodney Harrison called Zach Wilson garbage and Micah Parsons took issue with that. Deshaun Watson was medically cleared to play but he chose not to. In the final segment of the hour, how many teams in the NFL have quarterbacks that think they can lead them to the Super Bowl?  Hour 4 The Giants did not lose their defensive coordinator or their offensive coordinator last year. They did not get head coaching jobs. So why are they so bad this season? Jerry returns for his final update of the morning and starts with Daniel Jones throwing a pick-6 in the loss to Seattle. Darren Waller has no answers and can only do what he does. The Giants have the worst offense and defense. Geno Smith was asked about the years he played in New York. Rob Saleh talked about the Sauce Gardner holding call. Patrick Mahomes did agree with the call. There's a conspiracy theory that the NFL wants the Chiefs to win because of the Taylor Swift effect. Steve Cohen talked about the moment he realized David Stearns was his guy. The Moment of The Day is all about the way Stearns' voice sounds. In the final segment of the show, the Sphere opened in Las Vegas with U2. Boomer wants a New York Sphere.
