Well that's it. The excitement of Episode 100 is behind us. Back to business as usual with this one, EPISODE 102! Our guest this week is the director of the amazing short THE BABYSITTER MURDERS and the Glasgow Frightfest 2020 selection THE MORTUARY COLLECTION... It's Ryan Spindell! His chosen film? Burnt Offerings! I will preface this with a comment. I KNOW. I know that this film is not a bad film by any stretch of the imagination. What it IS, is an excellent film in need of some love and one that everyone should see. It's a twist on the to-good-to-be-true haunted house movie which stars Oliver Reed, Karen Black, Bette Davis and Burgess Meredith! The synopsis is as follows: Ben and Marian Rolf can't believe how cheap the rent is at their giant Victorian summer home. Over time, however, they begin to sense that there's something peculiar about the place. Marian becomes strangely obsessed with keeping house, Ben finds himself prone to unusual bursts of anger and his vivacious aunt Elizabeth becomes withdrawn, then mysteriously dies. As the couple tries to adjust, they wonder if the house itself could be responsible? Huge thanks to Ryan for joining us! Follow him on Instagram HERE! Also, massive thanks to Mike Muncer, host of the amazing EVOLUTION OF HORROR PODCAST for his opening message! Please note that this episode contains strong language, conversations of an adult nature and EXTREMELY Scottish accents. Remember, you can keep up to date with our news by following us via the usual social media outlets: Facebook Twitter Instagram Plus you can drop us an email to stronglanguageviolentscenes@gmail.com. ALSO, join THE C.H.U.D. LOCKER group over on Facebook! Strong Language & Violent Scenes theme by Mitch Bain. NHE host Scott Murphy chats to writer/director/actor Graham Hughes about his latest feature “Death of Vlogger.” A movie which takes a unique spin on the found-footage genre and had the rare honour of playing both Frightfest’s (London and Glasgow). Wow. Lockdown! Quarantine! Self-isolation. It's fair to say that this has been one of the stranger weeks in our lifetimes and things are pretty up in the air and crazy. A little normalcy is what's required here so will continue to bring you episodes as usual. We will not abandon the quarantined. Now then, this week, fresh off the back of an amazing screening at Glasgow Frightfest which saw his film A Ghost Waits top MANY best of the fest lists AND being good enough to join us in person... It's Adam Stovall! His chosen film? Gremlins 2: The New Batch! Yes! It's 1990! It's the first 12 rated film that Andy saw in the cinema! It's one of the most tonally outrageous sequels ever made! The synopsis is as follows: The magical collectibles store that Gizmo calls home has just been destroyed, and the tiny monster finds his way into a newly erected skyscraper. Billy Peltzer and his bride-to-be, Kate, who have previously dealt with Gremlins run amok, discover that Gizmo and an impish legion of reptilian pals are inhabiting the downtown building. The couple tries to stop the creatures from escaping into New York City, but this new batch of beasts might be uncontrollable. Huge thanks to Adam for joining us! Follow him on Twitter HERE!
