On Earth As It Is In Heaven Series
Listen to a sermon by Senior Pastor: Dr. M.A Mukosi, titled: The Finished Work of Calvary - preached at Jesus the Saviour Church, 185 Bobs Way, Eersterivier, Cape Town on 27 April 2025.
In this Resurrection Sunday message, we reflected on the significance of the resurrection of Christ. We were reminded that resurrection life is a finished work—complete through Christ and not based on our own efforts. We were encouraged to embrace this truth, live free from guilt and condemnation, and continue growing in our relationship with God as we walk in the power of His resurrection.
This week, Dudley is joined by author and pastor David Holland for a deep and refreshing conversation about prayer, grace, and the finished work of Christ. Together, they explore how prayer shifts when we understand it as a partnership rather than a performance. David shares his personal journey out of shame-based religion and into a vibrant life of grace. They also discuss the meaning behind the gospel of grace, the tension between grace and striving, and how the finished work of Christ frees us to approach God with confidence. Plus, you'll hear how David stepped away from the megachurch model to embrace the house church movement and discover authentic New Testament community. This episode will inspire a new way of living, praying, and walking with God.Get Dudley's Weekly Word delivered right to your inbox every Friday! Resting in The Finished Work of Christ - Romans 8:31-39
What did Jesus mean when He said It is finished on the cross? I'm unpacking this for us today. If we get this wrong, we get our very identity and everything wrong. Quote of The Day: Jesus taught his disciples to ‘always pray and not give up' (v.1). You can talk to God not just in church or in set times of prayer, but anywhere and at anytime. I was taught very early in my Christian life to ‘talk as you walk' through the day. Never give up praying and pray hardest when it is hardest to pray. Host: TOLA Omoniyi
In the final week of our Finished series, Pastor Matt closes with a powerful look at the future finished work of Jesus in Revelation 21:5-6. While we often carry the weight of worry, Jesus invites us into courage—rooted not in our strength, but in His promise to make all things new. From creation to the cross, and now to eternity, we're reminded that “the end is not an event, but a person.” As we trust in what Jesus will finish, we find hope and courage for today. For more information about Integrity Church, visit our website, http://liveintegritychurch.org Connect with us on social media throughout the week to stay up to date on events and things happening at Integrity! Message of the Week from Sunday the 13th of April 2025
Silver trumpets were used for several purposes in God's plan. They were used for a call to the people to assemble, a call to battle and to proclaim the Feast of Trumpets. Today the trumpet is a symbol of the Gospel, the finished work of Christ, and a clarion call to all who will hear His word. The trumps will sound again in the end times calling us to assemble and for battle against satan and his minions when the great day of wrath begins. In Week 2 of our "Finished" series, we look at the beauty of God's finished work in creation. From Genesis 2:1-3 to Colossians 1:15-20, we see that God's work is complete, sufficient, and a gift to us. Yet, so often, we live as though we have to keep striving. The good news? Jesus' finished work in creation is an invitation to rest. Join us as we discover how true rest comes not from what we do but from trusting in what God has already done. For more information about Integrity Church, visit our website, http://liveintegritychurch.org Connect with us on social media throughout the week to stay up to date on events and things happening at Integrity! Claiming Victory in Jesus: Walking in the Power of His Name • Friday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give As believers, we are not called to walk in defeat, fear, or discouragement. Christ has already won the victory for us, and through Him, we are more than conquerors! In Week 1 of our series "Finished," Pastor Matt begins his journey as the new lead pastor at Integrity Church by exploring the concept of true rest in the finished work of Jesus. Drawing from Hebrews 4:9-16, 2 Corinthians 5:21, and Exodus 31:12, we discover that while our hearts are restless, Jesus offers a rest that goes beyond mere relaxation. Through repentance and surrender, we can experience the gift of rest that only Jesus can provide. Essentials Part 3 – Incomplete Finished Work MESSAGE SUMMARY: Today, we delve into the profound mystery of the Trinity - One God, not three. We explore the eternal nature of God the Son, Jesus Christ, as revealed in John 1:1. The message walks us through Jesus' earthly ministry, from His incarnation to His ascension, reminding us of His ultimate role as King of Kings. We're challenged to reflect on how this understanding of Christ's divinity and sovereignty impacts our daily walk with Him. The Holy Spirit's role is also highlighted, emphasizing how He empowers us to commune with God and hear His voice amidst life's challenges. This message invites us to deepen our appreciation of the Trinity and how each person - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - works in perfect unity for our salvation and spiritual growth. TODAY'S PRAYER: Keeping the Sabbath, Lord, will require a lot of changes in the way I am living life. Teach me, Lord, how to take the next step with this in a way that fits my unique personality and situation. Help me to trust you with all that will remain unfinished and to enjoy my humble place in your very large world. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 129). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, FORGIVEN. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): John 1:11; Timothy 6:15; Revelation 19:11-16; Genesis 1:2; John 4:24; John 14:16. Hebrews 10:19-25 English Standard VersionThe Full Assurance of Faith19 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, 20 by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.English Standard Version (ESV)The Holy Bible, English Standard Version. The Book of Hebrews emphasizes Jesus Christ's supremacy and the spiritual rest He offers. Hebrews 4:10 encourages believers to cease from self-driven works and trust in God's grace. Real rest stems from faith in Christ's completed work, freeing us from the pressure of perfection and highlighting our worth through His sacrifice.
Have you ever heard stories about those 'crazy charismatics'? In this new "Charasmania" Series, Ps Ryan teaches us the, sometimes, difficult to understand reality of being 'a finished work in progress'. We also explore some practical guidance on speeding up our sanctification with 6 simple steps! Don't miss out on this powerful message, straight from God's word!
Text: Genesis 2:1-3 Divine Rest Inaugurated in God's Finished Work of Creation God finished His work of creation. God rested from His work of creation. God blessed and sanctified the seventh day. Our Eternal Rest Fulfilled in Christ's Finished Work of Redemption The theme of God's rest is seen in the future rest that awaits those who belong to God in salvation. Because of Christ's death and resurrection, we can enter His eternal rest through faith in Christ and repentance (Hebrews 3:7-4:13). Christ calls us to find rest for our souls in Him alone (Matthew 11:27-30).
It's Witness Wednesday! Todd Friel is back at Kennesaw State University to engage students in conversations about faith, salvation, and their beliefs. Segment 1: • Michael, a self-professed Christian, struggles to clearly articulate what it means to be saved. • He expresses a belief in God's forgiveness but also assumes good works play a role in earning salvation. • Todd challenges this view by emphasizing that salvation cannot be earned through works but is a gift of grace. Segment 2: • Todd explains the Gospel, highlighting Jesus' life, death, and resurrection as the only way to reconcile sinners with a holy God. • He uses analogies, like a courtroom trial, to show that human works cannot pay the penalty of sin. • Michael admits he hasn't fully submitted his life to Christ, saying he is still waiting for the right moment to commit. Segment 3: • Thomas, another professing believer, shares his view that being a Christian involves doing good works to earn God's favor. • Todd gently points out that relying on good works is contrary to the Gospel and shares how Jesus' finished work on the cross is sufficient for salvation. • Thomas struggles with reconciling his actions with God's grace, believing he must “earn” his place in heaven through obedience. Segment 4: • Todd explains the difference between works as a response to salvation versus works as a means of salvation. • He emphasizes that Christians obey God because they have already been saved, not to earn salvation. • Thomas begins to see that assurance and joy come from trusting in Christ's finished work, not from striving to prove oneself to God. ___ Thanks for listening! Our study continues in 2Peter chapter 3 looking at verses 3 and 4. Peter exposed the false teachers in chapter 2 who deny the Master who bought them. In chapter 3, he now exposes those who mock our Lord Jesus Christ and His 2nd Coming. Dr. Mitchell explains these verses making a distinction between the Lord's 2nd Coming to the earth to set up His kingdom and the coming of the Lord for His own, the church, the body of Christ. Through the apostle Peter, God is already informing us of what is coming now in these last days. Dr. Mitchell points out that the Apostles Paul and John also wrote of these last days in detail. On the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast Dr. Mitchell specifies which doctrines these mockers and false teachers are attacking and denying in these last days. Turn with us in your Bible to 2Peter 3:2-4.
When we are wronged, we have the opportunity to either pursue justice toward retribution or justice toward reconciliation. This is what Paul, carried along by the Holy Spirit, was writing about in 2 Corinthians 5:14-21. The Finished Work of Jesus has reconciled us to the Lord and empowered us to pursue reconciliation with others--in doing do, we live our lives according the Jesus' prayer, "Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven."
Derek Hofer grew up on a Hutterite Colony in Manitoba, Canada. He always imagined the way to heaven was through his own efforts, but he discovered acceptance with God is not by one's own feeble efforts, but through he finished work of Christ. Here he explains this truth from the New Testament. (Recorded in Chalfont St Peter Gospel Hall, 22nd Dec 2024) The post Your Feeble Works or Christ's Finished Work? With a keen focus on providing clarity, Christina challenges listeners to break free from the constraints of legalistic interpretations of scripture, rooting for justification by faith alone. The episode resonates with those yearning for deeper spiritual insights and a restored understanding of the Gospel. "The Gospel of the grace of Christ makes us sons of God, not slaves to written rules and regulations." -Christina Perera Listen to the end for powerful prayer!RESOURCES: Are you facing a healing crisis?
