2016 was a big year for Tina Muir. In March she fulfilled a lifelong dream of representing Great Britain in the Half Marathon World Championships. A few weeks later in April she ran the London Marathon in 2:37 which was a PR at the time. She then finished out 2016 with the California International Marathon in December, where she finished fifth overall and lowered her personal best to 2:36. In February Tina shocked the running world by announcing her decision to step down from competitive running. However 2017 and 2018 are shaping up to be very special years for her.
