One Year Bible Podcast: Join Hunter and Heather Barnes on the Daily Radio Bible, a daily Bible‑in‑a‑year podcast with 20‑minute Scripture readings, Christ‑centered devotion, and guided prayer. This daily Bible reading and devotional invites you to live as a citizen of Jesus' kingdom, reconciled, renewed, and deeply loved. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible for July 30th, 2025. Join Hunter, your Bible reading coach, as we journey together through Isaiah chapters 60 to 62 and John chapter 1. In today's episode, we'll encounter powerful themes of light overcoming darkness, God's promise of restoration and joy for His people, and the calling of the first disciples as they seek—and find—what their hearts long for. As Hunter guides us through scripture and reflection, we're invited to consider: What are we truly looking for, and how might God be finding us in every season, whether it's a time of upheaval or new beginnings? Settle your heart for a time of prayer, scripture, and encouragement as we remember that in all circumstances, God's presence is with us, and we are deeply loved. TODAY'S DEVOTION: We tend to find the things that we're looking for. It's a truth about life, and it's a truth that echoes throughout the scriptures we read today. The Pharisees went out to the desert searching for answers, but their searching wasn't about finding the Messiah—they were securing and protecting their own interests. They found what they were looking for, but they missed who they should have seen. John the Baptist, in contrast, was looking for someone, the One. And the disciples, too—so eager for the Messiah spoken of by Moses and the prophets—found what their hearts longed for. If you follow after this One, if you keep your eyes on Him, you're going to see things far beyond anything you ever anticipated. Jesus told Nathanael that because he believed, he'd see even greater things: heaven opened, angels ascending and descending on the Son of Man—the very stairway between heaven and earth. What if that's what your soul most deeply longs for? The connection, the hope, the forgiveness—everything written in your spirit—answered in Him? And here's the beautiful twist: just as you find Him, He finds you. He saw Andrew trailing behind, He saw Simon—right into him, through him, to the identity and destiny Simon had not yet seen for himself. He renamed him, reimagined him. He called Nathanael a man of integrity before Nathanael knew what was happening. When you look for Him, believe in Him, you'll see more than you expected. You'll be seen. You'll be known. You'll be given new life, new identity, new destiny. He is looking for you, friend. Sometimes we fear being truly seen, but in Jesus, to be seen is to be named and loved and changed. That's what it means to follow Him into life. That's my prayer for myself today: that I would keep my eyes on Jesus, find what I'm truly looking for, and be changed. It's my prayer for my family—my daughters, my son—and it is my prayer for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Lord God Almighty and everlasting father you have brought us in safety to this new day preserve us with your Mighty power that we might not fall into sin or be overcome by adversity. And in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose through Jesus Christ Our Lord amen. Oh God you have made of one blood all the peoples of the earth and sent your blessed son to preach peace to those who are far and those who are near. Grant that people everywhere may seek after you, and find you. Bring the nations into your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten the coming of your kingdom through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen. And now Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness, Joy. Oh Lord grant that I might not seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love. For it is in the giving that we receive, in the pardoning that we are pardoned, it is in the dying that we are born unto eternal life. Amen And now as our Lord has taught us we are bold to pray... Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not unto temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Loving God, we give you thanks for restoring us in your image. And nourishing us with spiritual food, now send us forth as forgiven people, healed and renewed, that we may proclaim your love to the world, and continue in the risen life of Christ. Amen. In this talk Chris explores Isaiah chapters 60 - 62 and shows us how these verses all relate to Jesus. The book of Isaiah repeats the question – whom shall you trust? We want our church to be rooted, established, and built on Jesus, maturing in him and so as we explore this brilliant old testament book, our prayer is that we, more and more, place our trust in him above anything else this life has to offer. Opening from Genesis and the story of Noah, Pastor Shola Okodugha teaches that God is deeply intentional about everything He builds, and that same intentionality is required of us in building the visions He has placed in our hearts. The real question is not whether you have a vision, but how you will fulfil it. Every great accomplishment requires faith, obedience, and the willingness to build according to God's pattern. Noah became the blueprint, building exactly as God instructed, despite resistance, uncertainty, and the cost attached to it.Five Things Needed to Build Your Vision:• Build according to the pattern God has shown you — do not deviate from His blueprint• Build with the right foundation — consistency in devotion, doctrinal clarity, faithfulness to your local church, generosity, and purity of heart• Build with structure — vision without structure remains a dream• Invite people into the ark — no God-given vision is built alone• Build in sacrifice — every lasting vision carries the scars of sacrificeThis message will help you:• Move from simply having a vision to intentionally building it• Strengthen your faith as the foundation for everything God has called you to do• Create structure that supports your assignment• Embrace sacrifice as part of the process of buildingWatch, reflect, and begin to build according to the pattern, with the right people, and at whatever cost obedience requires.ABOUT THE NEWWe are a people of love and excellence who are result-oriented, spirit-led, word-rooted, prayer-driven, and kingdom-conscious. Opening from Isaiah 60:22, Pastor Shola Okodugha establishes a foundational truth, you did not come to the earth by accident. God was intentional with the operations of the earth, and you came here for a destiny-defined purpose. There is a reason you are here. You must begin to see yourself as deeply significant before God, what He is doing in your life is a priority, not an afterthought.Drawing from Ezekiel 12:22 and Joel 2:28, he highlights that one of the key outcomes of the outpouring of the Spirit is the ability to see visions. The potency of a vision is tied to time, there is an allocated season to deliver it, so it can be passed on to the next generation. What is a Vision? • A divine blueprint etched in the core of your being • A map God has given you to navigate life with purpose and direction • A security that keeps you from drifting aimlessly • The fuel that ignites your passion, zeal, and potential • The joy that keeps you going, knowing your present situation cannot override your future • A divine calling that guides every action and decision you make • The ability to see a life filled with possibilities and run toward it with confidence • Something that shapes not just your future, but gives hope to those around you • A guard against mediocrity and compromise • The assurance that your journey is the fulfilment of something greaterTypes of VisionsNot every vision carries the same origin. Visions can come from God, from self-desire, from dissatisfaction born out of frustration and delay, from retaliation, from the world's systems, or from the enemy. Discernment is essential.Vision is the ability to see the invisible and make it possible. The beauty of a vision is that it comes with transitions. The power of a vision is what keeps you going on the hardest days — it is a bittersweet feeling, but it is fuel. And when vision truly takes hold, time becomes a priority. This message will help you: • Understand that your life is intentional and purpose-driven • Identify and clarify the vision God has placed within you • Discern the true source of the vision you are carrying • Walk with confidence knowing your journey is the fulfilment of something greaterWatch, reflect, and allow God to birth and clarify the vision He has already placed inside you.ABOUT THE NEWWe are a people of love and excellence who are result-oriented, spirit-led, word-rooted, prayer-driven, and kingdom-conscious. Opening from Isaiah 60:22 and Habakkuk 2:2–3, Pastor Shola Okodugha builds on the vision of exponential increase with three non-negotiables: an intense run, appropriate strategies, and oneness in spirit and commitment to the price required.Every vision must have a strategy. Strategy is what aids the accomplishment of the vision. The problem for many is not the vision itself, it is the how. One of the most powerful things God can give a man is the strategies to make Isaiah 60:22 come to pass in his life.Favour is not the inability to predict an outcome; it is the ability to predict it. And your ability to see clearly will help you hasten the process. The congregation then went into an intense session of prayer. This message will help you: • Move beyond vision into the strategies that bring it to pass • Understand that favour gives you foresight, not just fortune • Sharpen your ability to see so you can accelerate the process • Pay the price required to go from one to a thousandWatch, reflect, and begin to ask God not just for the vision, but for the strategy to run withABOUT THE NEWWe are a people of love and excellence who are result-oriented, spirit-led, word-rooted, prayer-driven, and kingdom-conscious. Many folks like to share that they have faith in Jesus. But is just believing really enough to get them to heaven? Even the demons in the Bible knew who Jesus was and recognised Him right away. However, that didn't grant them Salvation, and the same goes for anyone who merely knows about Jesus. What truly sets everything apart is the moment you welcome Him into your life. Today, Pastor Mark shares insights on what it truly means to simply know Jesus as your Saviour versus receiving Him. When you turn away from your mistakes and invite Jesus to transform your life, that's the moment you genuinely embrace Salvation!
The Bible mentions a total of four temples that are set to be built. The enemies of Israel have already taken out the first two. So, what's the deal with the third and fourth? According to the Bible, the construction of the third temple is set to happen during the reign of the Antichrist. He's going to seize the temple and proclaim himself a deity. As we reach the end of this seven-year judgment period, the third temple is destined for destruction too. So, what's the deal with the fourth? In today's message, Pastor Mark shares some exciting insights about how God will build the fourth temple, which will be known as the millennial temple!

It is amazing how many people complain that they cannot hear from God or that God does not speak to them, when in reality God continues to speak loud and clear and we simply are not listening. What we see in this very specific Bible prophecy given to us by Isaiah proves that point unmistakably, and it should serve as a powerful reminder that when God speaks, our responsibility is to pay attention.
