The COVID-19 crisis has forced so many of us to remote work, including the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center. To make things easier for its airmen and ground employees, the Air Force has created a new Innovation Office at its installation and Mission Support Center in Texas. The office stood up in November and Marc Vandaveer is the center's chief innovation officer. After Hurricane Michael caused major damage to Tyndall Air Force Base on October 10th, 2018, officials worked quickly to get the critical missions back up and running as soon as possible. Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center demonstrates through their special initiative called "Task Force Phoenix" a large part of the recovery process for Tyndall AFB.
