Y AHORA... ¡QUE COMIENCE LA FUNCIÓN!

Unterbaum has been an idyllic change of pace, why not just retire here? Oh yeah, the Gang has to travel north, it'll stay all homey and nice, right? Bruno opens a bottle, Dumpling is betting on the last five or so years, Lucky has a war duck now, and Mina did feed the bird. In which we begin season 4 with “The Hour of the Wolf". Everything is falling apart except Ivanova's late night fashion sense and Ana's Lytvanova ship. In “Whatever happened to Mr. Garibaldi” we talk human political philosophy, Narn haberdashery, and discuss what's less erotic, an 8 foot portrait of Daffy Duck-- or Michael Garibaldi. In which the crew have varied opinions regarding the merits of blue Centauri jello cubes. “The Rock Cried Out, No Hiding Place” features historical context for hiding things in hollowed-out bibles (although not for unlabeled data crystals), Vir's continuing bad luck in elevators, and some headcanons regarding the Narn language. In “Shadow Dancing,” we get some great Ivanova/Marcus content, the crew ponders why there are Earth tourists on B5 and how air miles work in the future, and we propose that the reason for all the waxed chests on B5 is that G'Kar is an extremely sexy trendsetter.Connect with the show at @babylonpodjectHelp us keep the lights on via our Patreon!Justen can be found at @justenwritesAna can be found at @The_Mianaai, and also made our show art. Both Ana and Justen can also be found on The Compleat Discography, a Discworld re-read podcast.Jude Vais can be found at @eremiticjude. Daniel, Ben and Tanya explore the landmark 1990's series Babylon 5. The first Science Fiction Series to use 100% CGI instead of models, a series that was consistently under-budget and revolutionized modern storytelling. We discuss what made Babylon 5 great without spoilers in preparation for the next episode where we will do a deep dive into the plot, themes, arcs, and storylines that made Babylon 5 the admired and respected series that it is. This episode is intended as a "Spoiler-Free" introduction to the series. If you're considering watching Babylon 5, this is the one you want to hear. Our follow up episodes will be much more in-depth and contain spoilers. Also in the episode, the crew are joined by the Wonderful, Insightful and musically gifted Julie Caitlin Brown who since playing the Diplomatic Attaché to the Narn, Na'Toth, has become a CEO for Illumina Productions, a triathlete and multi album recording artist. She shares her journey with JMS and the cast of Babylon 5 as well as her physical, and cognitive healing process through difficult times that have shaped her unique perspective on health, life and mental acuity. The show closes with a fantastic song called "The Light and the Dark" on which she plays guitar and sings to lyrics written by her son. CW: discussion of substance addictionIn which we establish the official show motto. “A Day in the Strife” features a very well-done addiction plotline tacked onto a character who is awful for other reasons, a menacing alien pinecone that threatens to blow up the station if the B5 staff flunks the SAT, Sheridan's new Narn boyfriend, and the introduction of the Minbari Sacred Dremel and Ritual Belt Sander. In “Voices of Authority,” G'Kar gives Garibaldi homework (but doesn't threaten him with death by pine cone), the First Ones get a CGI upgrade an exciting new Bionicle look, and Justen, as Professor of Himbology, rules that Zach Allen is not a himbo but Musante still shouldn't be mean to him. Pour one out for another maintbot.Connect with the show at @babylonpodjectHelp us keep the lights on via our Patreon!Justen can be found at @justenwritesAna can be found at @The_Mianaai, and also made our show art. Both Ana and Justen can also be found on The Compleat Discography, a Discworld re-read podcast.Jude Vais can be found at @eremiticjude.
