In which we discuss missing blood and identify Zathrii. In "Lines of Communication," we talk about playing with your expanding fighting pike, the numbering conventions of the White Stars, and how it took a week for the Minbari to lose every cultural norm. We also love Number One's hair? In "Conflicts of Interest", Jude makes a summary shorter than the episode, Garibaldi does not observe appropriate dismissal procedures from his old job, and Garibladi is starting to get on our nerves. This week, Jude doesn't want to ask how Justen is doing, we debate whether a propensity to fuck aliens is a feature of human souls, and if alien fucking is the path to ascension. And also show tunes. In "Atonement", Delenn contends with Minbari traditionalism and wraps up a number of Minbari plot lines, and we get the start of a storyline that's going to turn Justen into a goblin in "Racing Mars" where Marcus and Franklin head to Mars under the cover of being a married couple.Connect with the show at @babylonpodjectHelp us keep the lights on via our Patreon!Justen can be found at @justenwritesAna can be found at @The_Mianaai, and also made our show art. Both Ana and Justen can also be found on The Compleat Discography, a Discworld re-read podcast.Jude Vais can be found at @eremiticjude. In which we learn that both Jude and Ana hate truffle oil (Zathras would like to note that truffle oil is GARBAGE). “Severed Dreams” features Karen Mollari being flagged for extra customs screening and wanting to talk to a manager, G'Kar carrying a Minbari like he carries the whole goddamned show, and our many feelings about Sheridan's emotional range. In “Ceremonies of Light and Dark”, Marcus wonders if there's a reason he's still alive / when everyone who loves him has died, Garibaldi meets his ultimate nemesis New Jersey Clippy, Londo borrows a bottle of poison from a Vin Diesel movie, and we all love Delenn's fantastic mom energy.Connect with the show at @babylonpodjectHelp us keep the lights on via our Patreon!Justen can be found at @justenwritesAna can be found at @The_Mianaai, and also made our show art. Both Ana and Justen can also be found on The Compleat Discography, a Discworld re-read podcast.Jude Vais can be found at @eremiticjude. In which Justen nearly ruins our hatred of Franklin. “Messages from Earth” is the start of this season's quadriptych (yes, we had to look that up), and is definitely not a Star Trek: Voyager plotline. In the episode, Marcus proves that he is as adept with a glue stick as he is with a fighting stick, we learn that Minbari do not sleep as we humans do, and we all wonder what happens when you put a chicken into an O'Neill cylinder. In “Point of No Return”, NightWatch gets its comeuppance in a plot that revolves around Zack's stupidity, Majel Barrett delights Ana with more Centauri prophecy shit, and Ta'Lon reminds us that while all Bajas Blast, not all blasts are Baja.Connect with the show at @babylonpodjectHelp us keep the lights on via our Patreon!Justen can be found at @justenwritesAna can be found at @The_Mianaai, and also made our show art. Both Ana and Justen can also be found on The Compleat Discography, a Discworld re-read podcast.Jude Vais can be found at @eremiticjude. CW: discussion of substance addictionIn which we establish the official show motto. “A Day in the Strife” features a very well-done addiction plotline tacked onto a character who is awful for other reasons, a menacing alien pinecone that threatens to blow up the station if the B5 staff flunks the SAT, Sheridan's new Narn boyfriend, and the introduction of the Minbari Sacred Dremel and Ritual Belt Sander. In “Voices of Authority,” G'Kar gives Garibaldi homework (but doesn't threaten him with death by pine cone), the First Ones get a CGI upgrade an exciting new Bionicle look, and Justen, as Professor of Himbology, rules that Zach Allen is not a himbo but Musante still shouldn't be mean to him. In which we learn how many Minbari it takes to screw in a lightbulb. “Race through Dark Places” introduces a spicy new look for Delenn, Bester's spam filter, and our confusion about what precisely the value of a credit is in this universe. In “Coming of Shadows” we discuss design considerations for ships that are black on slightly darker black, a cameo from Aragorn son of Arathorn (wait, wrong podcast, Jeffrey Sinclair), and the fact that EarthGov… Dome… Force… Alliance… really needs a style guide. In which Delenn has a bad hair day. “Spider in the Web” features the introduction of an almost-himbo to the show, Franklin's befuddlement at the concept of blood transfusions, and revelations that Justen is 100% pro-Muppet and Ana first learned the word “badinage” through B5. In “Soul Mates” we contemplate the implications of Londo's wives being “Famine” “Pestilence” and “Death”, the awkwardness of explaining the birds and the bees to a human-Minbari hybrid, and the bizarre revelation that the Centauri have an Olympic Games. CW for discussion of sexual assault in the summary of “Soul Mates”, from 34:10 - 39:00.Connect with the show at @babylonpodjectHelp us keep the lights on via our Patreon!Justen can be found at @justenwritesAna can be found at @The_Mianaai, and also made our show art. Both Ana and Justen can also be found on The Compleat Discography, a Discworld re-read podcast.Jude Vais can be found at @eremiticjude. In which the phrase “real honest-to-god hot water shower” is first spoken. “Points of Departure” brings us a Minbari experiment with the latest in mall ninja fashion, Keffer challenging Fred Jones for the title of “sexy ascot man”, and our extreme enthusiasm about Sheridan's dork dad energy. In “Revelations”, Sheridan's sister is a huge buzzkill, Ana rants about the costumers' choices for Delenn's hair, and we are all deeply disappointed by Garibaldi's survival.Help us keep the lights on via our Patreon!Connect with the show at @babylonpodjectJusten can be found at @justenwritesAna can be found at @The_Mianaai, and also made our show art. Both Ana and Justen can also be found on The Compleat Discography, a Discworld re-read podcast.Jude Vais can be found at @eremiticjude. In which we voice the praises of D.C. Fontana, a true sci-fi TV writing legend, and Jude and Ana definitely don't plot Justen's demise. “The War Prayer” begins the B5 tradition of awful exes, plus Vir is better over email and Delenn gives off strong distinguished queer vibes. “And The Sky Full of Stars” prompts Justen to ask if Sinclair is a Minbari plant, Ana to question why they're using VR to go into someone's mind when there's perfectly good telepaths right there, and Jude to marvel at Doctor Franklin not being awful.Connect with the show at @babylonpodjectJusten can be found at @justenwritesAna can be found at @The_Mianaai, and also made our show art. Both Ana and Justen can also be found on The Compleat Discography, a Discworld re-read podcast.Jude Vais can be found at @eremiticjude.
